The choreographer for the scene, who has since passed away, was a member of Jackie's team. He's the guy who fought Jackie in Gorgeous - Bradley James Allan.

This is the only post-Endgame movie that's really done it for me. The music, the action choreography, even the mystical cgi stuff at the end worked for me. The themes of family strife and legacy really resounded with me and I actually got a bit emotional at the end.

Arguably the best villain in the MCU. The backstory was so much more compelling than anything else we've gotten. Not just some egomaniac or evil mustache twirling schemer. A real character with relatable motivation.

I’m so glad they got an actor who’s willing to go ALL in with the martial arts training. It just would not be the same if it’s someone who doesn’t know much or someone who knows the basics, but lets the stunt guys do the heavy work. Which is fine because stunt guys exist for a reason (and they deserve so much more credit for the incredible things they do for film/TV, especially the dangerous stunts), but for this… it has to be believable that Shang Chi has been training ever since his childhood. That said, I think it’s better to see the actor portray at least the majority of that without cutting to stunt guys so much. In terms of martial arts/fighting, Simu Liu did that part of the character justice.

I'm guessing you've never driven before. Coasting down a hill, people usually apply their brakes most of the way down. A sudden loss in brake pressure will be instantly felt in the brake pedal and would easily explain the bus driver's reaction.

@@zephyrr108first of all the mc got clapped bc his sister fought longer than him and has more experience. the "annoying" comedic character is also just a well written character so who cares. the mandarin lost to his wife because its literally a different fighting technique thats probably more efficient than his, thats how it works (he was also fueled by anger and consumed by power). there are plenty of mcu movies that stand alone, gotg being a huge example until they were written into infinity war, wheres the issue 😐. the fake mandarin was already like that since the beginning, not really their fault. i agree the ending was kinda a huge cgi fest but the narrative was still rlly good so 🤷‍♂️ tldr; all your complaints are clearly subjective and i dont think you actually understand the plot

Honestly I think this movie is SO underrated! I absolutely LOVED the fight choreography AND sound design, specially the fights involving the Rings! Seeing it in the theater you could FEEL every hit! This movie doesn't get near enough love & I feel like it might slowly gain more as time goes on.

As a person who drives buses for a living and has a unique understanding of air brakes both of the driver and a mechanic I have to point out that when an airline ruptures on a vehicle with air brakes the spring brakes activate to stop the bus.

@@anderfu8273 all of the wheels except for the steering wheels have a spring brake on them so it brings the bus to a stop although you might be able to get it to the side of the road. From there it's the tow truck drivers problem.

@@knuman No it wasn't. Simu Liu is a professional martial artist, and most of his fight scenes (including this bus scene) was indeed played by him. Stunt doubles were only used for scenes where he had to do STUNTS, not fighting. It may come as a surprise to you that fighting and jumping from building to building are two different things

Brad Allen is the stunt coordinator, not a choreographer. The fight scenes were both collaborations from Martial Club, a group of martial arts KZreadrs and Brad Allen stunt teams of Jackie Chan.

I love how he drops the act as soon as they hit his friend.

This is why you really shouldn't be wearing headphones when driving a bus...never know when a fight might begin with a guy with a blade for an arm.

Some people also think Katy was annoying. But I went back to see this movie a total of 3 times in one week, and one of those times I even went alone.

Katy is a definition of an Asian American that was born in America. Shang Chi is more of a Asian American immigrant from how I saw it. The action makes me remember all of the kung fu films I watched as a kid from Shaw Brothers, to Bruce Lee, and to Jackie Chan.

They literally just took every dudes fantasy of saving everyone with badass fighting skills no one knows about and made it one if the best MCU fights

Honestly one of the greatest action scenes out there. Heart in your throat thrill ride with solid choreo!

I feel so sorry for the laptop lady, she probably had an important project on that laptop, and now, her hard work have gone all down the drain.

Such a lovely nod and appreciation to Jackie Chan ! This is exactly how he would’ve behaved in this fight with a little more humor loved this scene

No matter how many times I watch it, that bus scene is the funniest thing I've ever seen. Even with my imagination. 😂

This was my favorite origin story of all of the marvel movies. I hope they do another soon. It had so much much more in it than the other origin movies.

Awesome movie. Love the story, especially the choreography. And now they have an Oscar winner in their cast. A+ 🥰

The music was booming in the Imax that I went to Really well done scene And the ending is not CGI, they actually crushed those cars or the chassis atleast.

0:14 I like the skill consistency. Even if he doesn't show his skills he put distance between himself and the "threat" in a very smooth and difficult manner. He didn't know about the other threats though...

this movie was honestly amazing, i hate how we still havent gotten any update on a possible sequel, or anything. i really hope they give us something

You know when the fights scenes are good when they barely do any cuts in between them.

I got to say, this movie is honestly one of my favorite MCU movies. Better than many older MCU movies even. I feel like everyone was talking about No Way Home and now they're talking about GOTG Vol. 3, but this film wasn't far behind. Some of the scenes with Wenwu make for better drama than Infinity War and Endgame!

Who knew this would be the best movie of this phase? Definitely was my favorite.

I just watched Shang Chi on Disney+ and I can't get over how sick-crazy this fight scene is. All the fight scenes were awesome. The freakin' Wong cameo at the hot sister's fight club was dope. Why were so many people shiitin' on this badazz movie? I should have watched it at the theaters.

I’m gonna say it, this is definitely Marvels most underrated movie. It’s my all time favorite marvel movie
