I can't wait to see your analysis on season 2 episode 4. It shows him dating his wife. And him correcting her about their first date. Kotoko said they never went on an official date before they got married so she wanted to re establish the dating part because they never went through it. She starts by guilt tripping him and said isn't it odd that you ask Matsumoto on an official date and never asked your beloved wife on one ? In which naoki responded in a very " I CAN'T BELIEVE WHERE AT THIS AGAIN VIBE" when he said aren't we always together? He means was dating really necessary or even applicable for us in a sense ? I mean we're always together even before getting married. We're actually more together than most married couples. In which kotoko insisted and said " but we never went on a date " he means it's still odd your asking Matsumoto on a date and they never even did it ". Which again he also insisted that " we did it at odaiba " and she replied " no i was following you while your on a date with her ". And annoyed him and said " please please please ". In which naoki finally gave in and said OK fine go back to your study.

But we all know that he is just teasing Kotoko because he knew that she is listening 😅😂

That is actually my analysis on this one. He knows she was listening and was obviously aware she was seating almost next to his. If i weren't for the big wall besides them. He wanted her to hear the qualities opposite to her so she would think that she's not his cup of tea. Because he was consumed by jealousy and anger thinking she would consider sudo san to be her substitute of him. Noticed his side glance after he finally reveals his type of girl ? He assured she was listening.

@@fanpark5635 if he was just honest with his feelings a little bit and not trying to masked his words with insult then maybe kotoko wouldn't be so pumped out and asks him why he married her on season 2. She also expresses that for her she was never even considered as a potential partner but rather was taken as a charity case for him. For her he was forced into marriying her early than expected hence his reaction of the series season 2 episode 2. She said these are the words she knew in her heart but didn't have enough guts to ask him because she was afraid of their relationship deteorating. And her status with him is what keeping her in the marriage. She was determined to live up to his expectations even when Naoki said he doesn't want her to change. They had a lot of misunderstanding because they had a pretty bad start getting into relationship. I mean they didn't formally date they jump right straight into marriage. Before he was very reluctant and against the idea of them getting married earlier than expected but as what happened with him and keita he was somehow relieved he married her earlier. Because if they weren't married things could turn for worse for him. At least his position as a husband was still to consider.

@@zylamortienio7437 yes we can't blame Kotoko if she thought that way because what she knows is she loves him more than he is to her. She might notice the changes of Naoki when they became married but she still hunt by the fact that Naoki's feelings for her is not that deep like her's to him that it might change anytime.

@@fanpark5635 that's her constant fear, for him to stop loving him. Contrary to Naoki who never even considered anyone aside from her. But sometimes actions without words isn't enough for a relationship to progress. He was lucky kotoko had a tremendous patience and was always willing to adjust in the relationship. Because no other woman could tolerate his cold exterior for long. He may have a long line of admires and pursuer's but none of those really loved him for being him. None of them we're willing to accept the efforts he pours in the relationship. Although he talks less and was always blunt she loved him more deeply. Oftentimes we thought kotoko's love is more intense simply because we saw how she worked hard to earn his love. But we also cannot deny how deep naoki's love was. He was patient to her every mistakes , was tolerant on her over clingy attitude ( in which neglected can burn the relationship) , and was always proud of his status of him being married to her despite her not so good reputation. He never once considered dating anyone. He knows he can't do much and although he was trying to be the husband she deserves he also has a lot of shortcomings. That's why he said on episode 3 " he kind of want a baby and should we make one ? ". Because he believes having a child will bring them more security of their marriage. He failed on his first try but he made sure to nailed it the second time. On kotoko's 22nd birthday. In a hotel booked by her mother for their supposed romantic night.

@@adaoramichelle8014 I’m with you haha. I love this version so much! However, I wished that they would cover more details from the manga. Despite that, this version still attracted me to come back everyday compared to the other adaptations.
