Just a correction in 2:33, actually in the Manga Version Of Itazura na Kiss ( the one that this Jdrama is Highly Based on) Irie’s Father is the one that mentioned to Naoki that Kotoko will not be going because she was going to go with her friends, so Naoki didn’t ask his father , it was just told to him☺️
