I'm curious about the transition part. I was thinking about diverting to another video from someone else's channel. Doesn't the algorithm punish you if you divert to another one of your videos then they come out of the platform? Sending them to another channel might make your videos appear better?

I feel like giving up too but keep on going 😢😢😢 inner voice like : what am I doing? Is it really making any sense kind of feel some days.. 😢😢😢 is it really worth it? Am I doing it right or something wrong in what I do n nobody tells that either even though some people watch my content.. soon hoping a day where my content turns helpful to someone somewhere throughout the world n benefits n benefits me too.. I should just enjoy the process n learn n here grow is what I am learning..

Key advice in short: 1. Use proven ideas that will get views, get inspired from other channels. Titles important 2. In a script focus on hook and make sure to transition to the next video in the end 3. The most important part in video first 30-60 secs: make them fast-paced, changing texts. Also cut out all boring stuff 4. Shorts can boost subscribers Thank for amazing content!

I also monetised my channel recently in 28 days. I didn’t have a strategy, I just consumed tons of Think Media, Film Booth and Vid IQ videos. Lol! Then hey presto! You’ve basically got to live and breathe KZread. I only ever watched videos just like this one on KZread for 4 weeks straight. If I can do it, anyone can. Good luck everyone 😊

I'm a KZread beginner so taking in all the info I can get and there is a lot of good tips out there. I would say PASSION is the most important KEYWORD, cuz that shines through everything you do. The problem is if you are passionate about something that not a lot of people care about. And also consider what you are GOOD at. And also what is POPULAR. I'M not in such a hurry to get monetized but would be nice at some point of course 🤩

Retention is always hard... For example, a 4 - 5 minute video I'll get about 1 -2 minute retention 🥺

So much great info here. But a lot of these are easier said than done 😅 In theory I know I need to fix so many things like my thumbnails, hook, and even my voice intonation. But in practice it’s definitely a challenge. Thanks so much for sharing. Very valuable for a lot of us new KZreadrs

The 1000 subscribers is monstrous for us. We are almost 4k watch hours but are stuck with less than 400 subscribers. Crazy how hard it is to get the subscribers.

I’ve had my channel since 2014 and it’s still hard to get up there but I’m still trying and will still keep going no matter how long it takes

I have learnt a whole lot being a content creator. I have had good moments and not so good, but it has taught me how the algorithm works. Have me examine your channel and give my candid opinion on what you need to do to grow. All the best with your channel!

It's really frustrating because I don't seem to convey that the recipes are good and way better than eating frozen or fast food. And you'd be spending less money. But here we are. Hey Carlos, I am in a similar situation. One thing I would try with your channel is doing some customised thumbnails. It wont change anything dramatically but it will help with how professional your channel looks overall. Hope this helps and best of luck out there

I love Think Media. The only problem is probably 80% of your advice doesn't work for my channel. I don't know what my video is going to be about before hand as I shoot what calls come up. I can't do my thumbnail before shooting. I can't have a script. I can come up with some pre thought out videos, Working on one this weekend. It seems like after I put tags and keywords in my impression have fallen. My last video only has a little over 3,000 impressions in 24 hours. I am up to 708 subs. I know that's good for the content and the age of the channel but it is agonizingly slow. I have to admit I don't utilize shorts like I should. I have commented on a few videos like this but never have received a response. Hope you having a great spring.

Hi Mark at Mark's Towing. Some ideas that come to mind for some high impact short videos for you might actually be roadside safety scenarios, some done revolving around " implied action." Look how many people get run over while changing a tire or flinging open and exiting the driver's side doors when their vehicle breaks down on a busy road... stuff like that. You could import stock photo clips of emergency vehicles if needed. You could edit into your clips using a cartoon, or real busting watermelon , implied to mean " this is your head if you..." ( step out of your car in such circumstances) DOT guys are pretty nice in sharing tips for public safety that could give you plan-able content ideas. Other roadside repair guys who pool thoughts together talking about near- misses would provide a weath of fodder for viewers of all ages Every roadside repair channel ought to have a " busted watermelons " playlist , or similar , to entice viewers to either punch your subscribe button, or tap a link to your "busted watermelons" playlist of not extremely long videos (I'm a retired career trucker) Best wishes! Road safety videos for average joes like me could work. This would get more people to your channel and as a result possibly increase your subs. You could still make your roadside content as well. Good luck! in VRA they teach this stuff in depth. The surface content on these channels don't even scratch the surface of what you learn in the paid course.

I started with daily type vlogs. And change it to gaming that helped me to get monetized but got burned really fast and down the line my first son was born and then i stopped uploading. Now i had to rebrand again with what i really love to do which is into fitness.

Do you guys ever have weeks where when starting out you have a steady 200-350+ views then the next couple of days the Shorts algorithm seems to pass you by and you have 50-100 views? I started posting videos Feb 1 2023 and the last 2 weeks or so I've posted either a short or long form every 1-2 days.. Wondering if this is normal behavior to have a sudden drop from the Shorts algorithm when it seemed to be going good....
