Every time I put max effort I get minimum views compared to what expected. So I came to the conclusion that the best approach is simply to enjoy the process, learn something new with every upload and don’t try to force it - it’ll come with experience😉

Yes, but it’s SOOOOO annoying. KZread will have you believe that out of 3 billion YT users (2023) ONLY 15 or 20 of them even LOOKED at your content. I’ve seen otherwise in reality. I’ve simply had a video playing on my phone while in line at the store and I see several folks asking what I’m watching and can they watch. We KNOW it’s KZread “funneling” the views. You really notice it as time passes. The less bottlenecking YT does, the more viewers are able to see content, and then more possibilities to have them like or interact. Rarely am I so moved by a video that I hit the like button, no matter how good it is. I’ll subscribe and save to favorites, and possibly comment. So I don’t look at likes as highly as basic exposure.

You are walking the walk! One thing that makes this video useful to me is that you went beyond just saying, "You must do the research." I've read and watched videos of gurus giving that advice without saying HOW they do their research. Thanks for giving us a solid, simple, understandable example. As I'm sure you know, we just want something that we can apply and we don't have time to figure it out from scratch.

KZread has been a beautiful platform to connect with like-minded souls, and I'm so thankful for the sense of belonging it brings. I've been seeking out new connections, finding those who resonate with my essence. In a world that's always hustling, I've learned to treasure my own pace, relishing quiet moments and making each day intentional.
Been doing KZread for about 2 years and am pretty clear of what I want my channel to be but am just being crush by bigger channels. I feel like it’s more important to enjoy the content you do otherwise you will go crazy cause YT is so crowded that smaller channels could possibly never get noticed😢

I've come across channels with hardly any subscribers that have been posting every single day for like 6 years and their content isn't even that bad. KZread just never recommends them to anyone. And it's really heartbreaking going through these peoples channels and some of them starting off their video with "Hey guys" when no one is even watching. KZread's "algorithm" is so flawed it's sickening, it has killed my channel and I have zero idea how to revive it.

@@JWVLL I'm more or less in the same boat. It happened out of nowhere about 2 weeks ago. All of the sudden, people just stopped watching. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong so I can improve.
What this video doesn't talk about is how while it might seem sensible to produce videos that're solely data driven, there are many creators that don't solely rely on any of this. A viewer might become an avid supporter of a channel simply because of THE individual. And that's it. Viewers might like a creators personality/mannerisms which is something that can't be measured.. This is why you'll have channels where no matter what they upload they'll get views regardless. In this particular instance I highly doubt creators are looking at things like competitors or data. I've seen content that has the most arbitrary titles, thumbnails and topics and yet viewers still manage to enjoy the content and stick around. It's not all about numbers. Just wish people would talk about that more.
@frosenzu8909
Жыл бұрын
This is true but for 99% of people here using this video who run a channel. Your personality doesn't matter in terms of click through rate. Retention yes. But click through no. Majority of people here have issues getting good click through rate. They haven't even gotten to the point of needing to develop their retention. Click through rate comes first THEN RETENTION
@frosenzu8909
Жыл бұрын
Majority of those channels who are personality driven and it doesn't matter what they upload are people like penguinz0 These people started KZread at a much simpler time with far less competition and lower standard of quality combined with booming charisma in one shape or form. Even if it's through comedy or roasting. These days...THERE IS NO SHORT of creators both high and low quality. THERE IS A SURPLUS and dare I say it's oversatursated with talentless and talented KZreadrs. 99.9% people are going to need ALOT MORE than just personality. LUCK will be a necessity aswell as CONTACTS, influencers who can help you, growing side by side with you IN THE SAME NICHE or in a RELATED NICHE & the social skills to befriend them and NOT RUIN your relationship by leaving them in the dust OR BEING LEFT in the dust by them because people only help those out who can prove worth their time. Time is money and most people will only give you the time as long as they can make back the money..Even "friends" especially on KZread when those "friends" are competitors. Luck doesn't exist but there is so many factors in the AI/algorithm + audience & basic psychology on a mass scale that no one can account for all factors. It's humanely impossible. Luck MIGHT ASWELL exist

Yes, you're correct. For me, I know I've strayed. Probably because the channels I wanted to do, youtube either deleted, copyrighted, and /or banned my stuff. So, I decided to just focus on one thing. The thing is their are so many channels that do Jerusalem stuff and there is so much to show. Now my videos vary from touris crap to local music stuff. In the end the reality is that no one even really understands what I'm really showing them. Finally, these days folks want things that are loud, stupid, silly, mindless etc. That's not me. In fact, to your credit, the reason I'm watching and listening to you is not just because you make sense, but because you have a nice, calm, pleasant and reasonable manner of delivery. If you’re not consistent, you won’t get any views. Take a long break and find out.
Most of the channels that talk about channel growth really don't go this far into detail. I really appreciate you showing us your method to research and giving us a tool that could help us grow. You also talked about the why you were doing each step which really has me inspired to put in that extra effort to learn from other channels to help my own grow! Thanks for an awesome detailed video!
I really love how you said “you gotta do research” but actually defined what that meant. So many people say “do research” and never clarify. Love this vid
this is the most genius approach ive seen

My mindset is to just enjoy what I’m doing and what I’m putting out! That’s what keeps me going
From the past 15 years I wanted to start a channel and finally pushed myself to just do it, family and friends don’t really care. Anyone reading this, just keep going by providing value, stay strong, patient, optimistic and you will get there!
If _i_ were to give _you_ a piece of advice, I would say: brother, you gotta get your video quality up to at least 1080p... I just noticed how bad the quality looked (24" monitor in cinema view, not even full screen) and I thought my quality setting was turned down for some reason, I went to increase it to find that actually 720p is just the highest quality you have. I can't imagine there's any reason for you to deliberately cap your video quality, I do all my OBS recording at 1080p/60fps and I'm on nearly 10 year old hardware (4th gen i7, GTX 970, 16gb DDR3 RAM) and it's a breeze for my hardware. If I were you, recording at 1080/60 would be a top priority
I love how there are so many people who grow their channel by helping others grow their channel

From a new and small creator to other small/new creators. I pray we all find the subscribers and views we seek❤
Thank you for this detailed how to video! I especially liked when you talked about not guessing on our best competitor videos but relying on the data to tell us that information!
I just started my youtube channel and im taking the simple approach not editing my videos at all just doing raw uncut footage because i dont know how to edit yet and the type of content im making doesn't really require editing or at least not much anyway but I'm really enjoying it I'm happy with the content I've been able to create so far with my limited knowledge :)

CapCut is a really good free editor, it's what I learned on!
It is so cool, to see other smaller Creators, with all their passion. I am animating a series right now, so it takes forever to make a new Episode, but I try to keep going. We all can do it :D Just don't give up!

If your watching this video I hope your channel grows!! Keep going! Don’t give up💕
Just to point out, you don't have to go through and manually delete lines from a spreadsheet you don't want, based on the example you used. Instead, you can filter lines to only include lines that meet specified criteria, and then sort the remaining lines.
I have set myself target for two years - in this period I will make as much video as I can and then assess. Remember the journey at the start is hard so be patient 😊
Thank you about the research part. I barely started the channel and I need to figure out the places to look for the articles I'm looking for. Everything after that seems simpler because I enjoy the niche I picked and I find myself interacting with the youtubers I'm subscribed to.
Analyzing and learning from mistakes is the key element of growth in every aspect of life.
I don't have a specific niche. My channel is just supposed to be the account I use to watch youtube but, at the same time, the channel I post my videos in. I don't want to "hack" the algorithm or be super competitive, I just want to let it grow naturally.
The videos ar not the problem, I can’t replace algorithm with audience because that’s not the case, I checked the impressions and the views and it’s quite impressive, it’s just that I get NO IMPRESSIONS AT ALL! THE MAXIMUM I GET IS AROUND 100
Praying for all of aspiring KZreadrs. ❤
My dashboard has proved this works i owe my channel to you man.
Your videos are some of my FAVORITE KZread GROWTH VIDEOS. Thanks for this!

I started my channel a little over a week ago and I’m on my way to 100 subs. Let’s go baby
To small KZreadrs we got this! Don’t give up 💪🏻 keep working on creating videos and we’ll be alright 😊
Wishing all the small youtubers luck!! It’s so easy to feel discouraged but we can do this!! 👍
I have a couple small music channels where I post original instrumental content. It can get discouraging at times because of current YT algorithm policy. Something definitely has changed over past few months. Views were much better then.
I appreciate this being different from all the other videos I've watched on this topic! You rock and I wish everyone in here nothing but success 🤟

Sometimes, it's the smaller creators that help.
As a small niche creator I appreciate this information in this video. Learning how the platform works and creating content that is engaging and relatable to what your audience wants seems to be extremely important. Thanks!
Rare for me to say this but that's a damn useful guide , thumbs up and subbed thx for the info
It's so hard to grow. Like, unimaginable hard. Spending hours and hours and HOURS into perfecting a video and yet not it getting any views at all is really demoralizing.

Don’t create for others entertainment. Create for yourself. Film whatever it is like you wish someone else did that you could enjoy. If it’s about finance do it in a way that you would like to see, if it’s about cooking etc.. Humans are all different but creepily similar. There are literally millions of people who WILL like WHAT YOU LIKE. Create for you and they Will follow.

@BobbyFiermonti wonderful advice! 💯
Wonderful video. You don't hide anything, and goes direct to the point without losing time asking people to subscribe to your channel, nor use fancy video tricks that only our time and adds nothing. The value of the video is the useful information it brings to the viewer. Thank you. 🎉❤
Thanks for all the tips and tricks you shared with helping to grow my new KZread channel. Congrats to you on over 800k views on this video! You are doing something right!!🎉
I'm starting out my page for my music but the views are slacking. Just gonna have to hope that the hard work pays of eventually
As a very small KZreadr he is telling the truth
In my other account, I have seen a quite contrast on my videos. I see that "Undertale" gets more views than that "Minecrsft" one the problem is like how are you gonna do ideas on Undertale or how are you gonna do ideas on Minecraft.
Awesome video! Guys, this video is a gold mine of informations, I've watched it all the way through. Also, I'll point out the fact that through your "competitors", this is actually how I got recommended your channel, Marcus. I've been subscribed to Finzar and Film Booth before yours, so is it correct to say that your competitors can also be your allies in a way?

For sure, there are pros and cons to having competitors.
keep at it! success is always just around the corner ;)
Started my KZread channel a few months ago and just saw this today, will be trying this stuff out. I have just a few vids that got thousands, i know that’s not much but hoping to turn it into millions one day. Good luck to everyone in here
wishing all powerful content creators renewed consistency and creativity...LET"S GO y'All!!!
This was an exceptional video to streamline competitor research. You gave me so much to work with AND I'm even seeing trends in the performance of my own videos from analyzing competitors. Thank you! You've gained a sub. :)
Thanks for this perfect guide, I think you mentioned everything important, just 1 thing, I sometimes get a feeling its not about creator for example I have 1 short which is poorly edited with 10000 views and 200 likes, while video where I spent few hours doesn't even for some reason go into feed, but maybe I am just analyzing wrong videos we will see in few weeks.
It's a fine line at least for me with thumbnails. If the creator looks too emotional in the picture then I automatically feel doubt in the potential information they may have in the video. But at the same time it's bad to look apathetic lol
I have a question, i post horror, roblox, and shorts about diffrent topics. I love doing that, but. If you need one topic to stay on. What do i do?
This is actually the best and most clear explanation i´ve heard so far. Thanks man. Trying grow bigger and I have a fantastic audience and community so far, to whom I am super grateful, but my reach isn´t all that far. Thanks for the tips.
According to the research data, it's engaging to pad out your video with what basically amounts to "You know what your competitor is doing? Do that!"
I started 2 months ago. Not growing as fast as Instagram as we cannot see our subscribers to follow back or post content for them. Still .... just keep swimming 😍 Anything for travel inspiration ✨️
Just plain excellent! Thanks so much for sharing!
Nothing is easy. Keep up the good work and consistency. We are in this together. We can do this ^^
This was a great example of someone trying to teach, how to grow as a content creator. He was absolutely correct! Though there's not much I can change personally, I have great titles, thumbnails, tags and hashtags. And the only problem is just a new mic now. Though I'm hoping as I go through this video, I'll find something new to help me change this. (And so far it actually is.)
you are right. i haven't posted anything 8 months and my channel was getting only 4...5k views\month and now, i started uploading shorts and i got 260+ subs and 150k views last 28 days. Posting daily is the best way toi get noticed. Happy yoiutube'ing guys
Really great content on this channel. What could help small creators on KZread is to try boosting their channel from the start. I know a lot of people (including myself) who are doing it, using some tools, and they never had any problem (I am mostly using Famester as it is the most popular one currently, and I never had issues with it). Good thing is that it also helps your account get into the loop much easier and faster, and on my other account I got 1000 subs as fast as possible.

can you name other tools that are helpful to boost your channel as well? thank you 😊
I've just started on my youtube channel - I'm not counting likes and views yet... but one day I'd like to have more Subs. But I'm still learning. One day I might understand the algorithm and take advantage - but now it's mostly about learning how to make a good video.
This is a really great video! From what I have seen on youtube its okay to spread out a bit as long as it makes sense for your content and audience (like reviews and fitness instructor videos) Also I wont feel bad for my 20-30 views for a period of time, when some are struggling with only 2-3 views for 3month :O I always feel bad when I pick topics other people have made. But I guess its like that episode from south park where Professor Chaos is frustrated that the Simpsons did all his evil plans xD We cant really get over the fact that most topics have been made already

I would take a different view about picking topics others have already done. If you have a unique take or some way to put your own flare on the topic, for viewers it can be nice to get different opinions on a subject they're interested in.
