Thank you for this easy cat tutorial! It's amazing with how little effort you can paint a very lovely cat! The proportions are not off! It just has very fluffy fur!
Love it! A great tutorial especially the last minute! I volunteer at a shelter and it would be fun to whip these up when cats go home!

I love this! And, for the record, my youngest cat has a tiny head with a fluffy body and this looks a lot like how she does.

Aw yay! Makes me feel better. 😁
Lovely cat! His small face means he must be a Norwegian Forest Cat; has a small triangular face, big fluffy coat and mane ruff just as you have rendered.😊

Thank you. Great fun demo❤️
Thankx, so cute!!!
I've never tried to paint~ you make it look easy~ thanks!
Emily - so great all of your experimentation and various techniques put into action. To see an "oops" now and again, whether in action or after-the-fact means a lot. Your talent and skills always illuminate and, as previously noted, encourage. Thank you.
Wow, that was amazing, thank you!
I love your fluffy cat, I will try it out!
Love this.
This is something I need to make myself sit down and practice. I first picked up watercolors in 2016, but I do it so infrequently that I'm still very much a beginner. And one of my biggest hangups is perfectionism, and the need for literally anything I do to be a finished piece. The idea of splitting up a piece of paper and just making blobs feels like such a waste to my uptight brain...and yet I watch stuff like this and recognize that it's 100% necessary to practice techniques! So you're all my witnesses, now. I'm going to practice making fuzzy blobs to perfect this technique!

Sometimes we need someone to just give us “permission” to just play and practice! Funny as that is! Glad you saw some meaningful tips in this video. Keep at it!
Спасибо дорогая Эмили за чудесный урок!

Wow I need to try it right now
My first attempt was a disaster, but second time turned out nicely. I found a very small spray bottle helped for edges that needed a bit more water, helping the paint to spread more evenly in places that were drying more quickly than the rest. Love this tutorial for teaching me to work wet on wet better.

@@EmilyOlsonArt Ironically, my first gos, when l expect little, are often better than the subsequent ones. The curse of perfectionism, perhaps. I also had trouble with the eyes, and actually feel that this does require drawing skills. You may be underrating yours.
This should be fun to practice, love your nail colour 🤗♥️

This is great practice for wet on wet! My first try, I think I wet my paper a little too much, and my cat looks like it was electrocuted because the lines of paint extend so far! 😂

Thank you Emily 💜 I have a lovely Himalayan who is 14 and I have wanted to paint her for a long time. Your Tawny cat video and this one has given me ideas how to do it. Due to a hand injury and loss of fine motor skills, 20 years ago... I haven't did any Art. I've never really did watercolor, but I am trying. Thanks again.

Thank you so much for this. I have a black cat I’ve tried to paint, but I didn’t know wet on wet was the way to make her fuzzy. I can’t wait to try doing it your way!

Had two black cats with Green eyes. Do not have very good photos of them. May try this. Thank you!
Man, that was frustrating. It looked so much easier than it was... It took me three rounds to not mess it up completely.

I have a ragdoll with stripe markings. Trying to figure out how I can do a portrait of him with this technique...
Thank you for this tutorial. It was fun, but my cat turned out to look more like one of those medieval manuscript cats than it should've. 😅
This is so cool! Will this same technique work for a white cat?
@EmilyOlsonArt

Yes--you would need to negative paint some background color AROUND the shape of the cat.
❤
Really nice-love the furry look! What tool did you use to dry it, Emily?
@EmilyOlsonArt

Just a Sizzix heat tool from Amazon.
Bonjour, quelle marque de peinture utilisez vous ?
Thanks! Have to try! You missed the shape of the nose and head already there -the head would have been bigger. Else very nice!
I once had a cat whose head was anatomically to small. Blossom, have to say while sweet she wasn't to bright, always missing the litter box
Please can you tell me where you purchased your drier 🐱
@EmilyOlsonArt

It’s just from Amazon!
Nice, I think his face shape was already there just before you put his face on. The eye at the top bump and nose where you had taken paint off. His head would not have been turned as much though, more of a side view.
Please draw portrait of alan Walker 😊☺️
He just has fluffy bones 😂
