Nice simple diagram of both types of regulators. It is unclear how the ambient pressure chamber on the diaphragm regulator works because it appears completely sealed.
The image comparison that starts at 00:11 is really kind of pointless since you cannot really tell if a first stage is piston or diaphragm without knowing its internals
