The Crossbow is an art form! It’s my favorite weapon in Hunt, and man am I so excited to see you use it! It’s what helped me grasp the Solo lifestyle and break bad habits like double peeking, bad rotations, and being too aggressive. Thanks to the Crossbow and your videos I’ve made it to 6-Stars recently! Doubtful I’ll stay there, but it was a goal I had an I managed to reach it thanks to all the angles you’ve taught us over the years 😊 👍

was 6 stars for a short time now I am at 4 star atm xD still crossbow is my fav. weapon even with all the newer fast shooting weapons.

Crossbow+uppercut has allowed me to clutch more than once from desperate situations.

that was some of the most insane crossbow play i've seen!

honestly I prefer the normal crossbow post bleeding changes - arm shots are pretty reliably one shots now with only like four ticks of bleed, so they have to bandage instantly which is easy to punish. The faster velocity makes it more of a reasonable choice at midrange when you're peeking, which is where the crossbow traditionally struggles. I haate how bolt thrower is basically mandatory - they should reduce the base reload, then if needed nerf thrower in turn. Sucks to have a weapon so dependent on that one perk. EDIT: also the new harmy swift is a good pair - fmj to punish bandaging, high dps to hold the second and third guy if they all rush you, and a lightning reload. It's so strong at punishing people for just brainlessly pushing you once they figure out you have a crossbow.

Now please upload a short compilation off all your arm shots to remind me why i should not play crossbow if i want to keep my sanity.

It’s not that bad. Still puts a lot of pressure on them. Nothing different than an arm shot with any other single shot weapon

post bleeding changes, arm shots are still a fairly consistent kill - it only takes three or four ticks of bleed. Compare it to slugs.

slugs have limb penetration and kill in those situations. and as soon as you pass 4 stars noone gives a sht about bleed if theyre not dying from it in the next second which doesnt happen if the arm shot does 90 dmg@@quadconjures

Crossbow sword is my favorite loadout, glad to see the crossbow get some love

Crossbow is my go to cause my aim with rifles is so hit or miss for some reason. Crossbow stays consistent and is pretty forgiving up close. I run the bornheim as a cheap alt to dolch

Ah yes, the classic old plain crossbow is great! Especially for switching it to a few spare dolch bullets or slugs specter!

Why switch to a specter that one shot kills up to 14m (and only if torso) while crossbow one shoots up to 35m? Specter has higher velocity? Inconsequential up to 14m. Crossbow has bullet drop? Likewise up to 14m. Specter can follow up shots after 1.3 seconds. That’s the only actual upside. But crossbow has virtually unlimited ammo, anything mentioned above, is stealthy, causes intense bleed to whatever it doesn’t one shot, virtually extending the one shot range at best and adding great pressure at worst, has much more accurate hip fire and costs 50 bucks instead of 188+130= 320 that the specter does. Honestly slugs are overpriced and their reserve amount should be at least brought back to default. Comparing a Romero with slugs to a crossbow is the most obvious way to expose balance design flaws in the game

Xbow sort of fits into the same category as romero slugs imho - inexpensive, reliable oneshot, moderate midrange presence. Downside is much slower reload and velocity - upside is infinite headshot range, good ammo economy, and no muzzle flash usually netting you a second shot. FMJ sidearm is pretty mandatory though.

Crossbow is so superior to Romero slug it’s not even funny. The pricing is way off.

Crossbow lowkey hits... One of the most cost efficient weapons in the game. Can't forget bolt thrower but it still slaps💯

This Loadout is an Allrounder, yes it is pricey but insanely good. The skin is t3 hunter if I'm not wrong maybe t2 fem hunter with the hoodie and coat.

Been playing a lot of nagant precision+Romero hk lately but picked up the crossbow a few times. Absolute monster especially in 4 star lobbies where you can still find the occasional crouch peek into easy one shot down

Also as I am telling you this is am looking st the match result of a 6 kill, 0 deatb round I played with that exact loadout, and I started the match with every possible downside. I was missing a bar, had to trigger a few sound traps, got hit a med kit, had to evade a duo, and spawned on the exact other side of the map from the bounty. This is not a flex, but rather goes to show that this is not "a worse but cheaper option" but rather a completely viable loadout thst can definitely instill fear. Tl;Dr Romero hk gud

Dude I watch these Hunt streamers and they peek everything and take 17 firefights a game and never get shot in the head. I'll peek one time and get domed at 87 meters by a Nagant Carbine with High Velocity. Like what in the hell

Watch streamers/top 1% closer. Their rotates are insane. If they even have a slight doubt about winning a peek, they will rotate the entire compound to get one shot off, and do it again. 3:20 is a good example. Watch how he holds that angle, CONSTANTLY moving, crouching, and getting out of view.

Hunt needs ingame buffs that are based on how fast you kill people, this game gives too advantage by plain waiting. It's so painfully obvious that time commitment is necessary, 99% of your games here relied on getting pushed at first or waiting/rotating slowly to peek 1vs1 as a first engagement
