I love using the bow and arrow, would love to know if they're broad heads or narrow heads arrows. Don't remember the game lore saying because a bullet should in theory do more damage but broad head arrows are absolutely massive compared to bullets. I believe they're broad heads, medieval battle reports to injuries says they were absolutely horrendous injury when being hit with one with full draw.

The arrows in Hunt are indeed broad heads! You can tell from the flanged design for the points! These are only 2 bladed broadheads though so while not the best they still work amazingly compared to a bullet shaped point!

One combo that can work pretty well with bow is scottfield swift pair with FMJ. You give up your ability to fight well at range, but at a decently close distance the scottfields are good at following up after arrow hits, and cover for a lot of bows weaknesses.

Bow feels so nice when it hits... I should try it more often for sure!

The bow is definitely not OP, but it’s crazy the value you get from thing for only 57bucks! It’s like slugs that also do bleed 🩸 but you have to charge the shot. I love this thing too Hornet, and I love you too ❤

The bow isn't bad, it's nice for quarter master into a long rifle. But the thing is that crossbow is just better in every way pretty much. U get to hip fire so move at full speed, velocity and arc is better and you get access to shot bolt which is crazy good and explosive bolts have their uses.

@@mikahoolwerff3563 Quick tap is still tons of dmg on the bow. At close range you don't need to do full pull, especially if they're not at max life. Also, much better for dealing with PvE than crossbow. I play both almost exclusively and honestly prefer bow. There are no do-overs with Crossbow: you miss - you die. Bow is much more flexible in that respect but doesn't have kill range or heavy bleeds that Crossbow comes with. Overall, I prefer Bow+Nagant Deadeye with HV over Crossbow and Claw Pax (since they changed stamina usage to be on par with a knife it's super viable) Also bow is MUCH more viable to hip fire than Crossbow - you can do reliable jump hipfires with bow, whereas crossbow spread becomes too wide without aiming down sights... made me miss quite a few easy shots just because I decided to not ADS... but bow? Sure, you can't sprint with arrow drawn but you're moving at full speed otherwise. Bow is faster faster firing Romero Slug, minus the penetration.

@@mikahoolwerff3563 gonna have to disagree with you there. Bow is easier to aim, easier to reload, has a higher rate of fire and still remains one of the most versatile weapons in the game. Meanwhile the crossbow has sh*t sights, slow reload and it’s a 3 slot… Just for reference sake, crossbow is 10 rpm Bow is 50 rpm. That’s not as small a margin as you’d like to make it out to be. The only real bonuses of the crossbow are the extra damage and the difference in range. Honestly I can’t really tell a difference in the range but that’s probably because of personal bias, the rest are cold hard facts.

Duuuude, the bow might be the best fun weapon to bring to a gun fight. Yesterday I decided to stream for the first time to my bro who hasn't played Hunt yet, with a Regular bow + Concertina arrows bow solo vs duos and I managed to wipe out the whole server. Ran outta arrows and had to finish them with a knuckle knife and a round of Broheim laser gun at the end but was the most fun solo game I've ever had. P.S. Hornet your aim is just disgusting (in a good way).

Because you cant run for the time u undraw it where switching actually gives you full speed

@@hornetlul If concealment isn't a required factor just tap E to go into Dark Vision - it's faster than either and doesn't impair movement like undrawing with R.

Some boss lairs radius counts from very far end of the compounds so they were probably out of the radius stilwater is a good example of that
