1 lack of direction - experience the world 2 Detachment - face everything and move on 3 Disassociation - accept who u were and shift the behaviour 4 Distraction - focus on what u do
This was just amazing... This was a God sent video to WAKE ME UP from this zombie state I've been living in... Can't thank you enough Brendon! Keep them coming!
I know this sounds kinda ridiculous but I cried during this video. It wasn't like wailing but a few tear drops. I'm not good with words and sometimes I've tried to explain to people what I'm experiencing is like. The best/ furthest I could go was "numb" or "blank". This is the first time I've ever heard that feeling's manifestation in actually words. It's the first time I've actually heard what it feels like. I guess I was..... shocked? Hearing what it's like in actually words, it felt as if a bunch of bottled up emotions/feelings/experiences was heaved off my chest and it literally feels lighter. I'm not suffocating as much, the grip on my throat has lessened and there's not as much pressure. I can breath a little but of air in. Thank you for letting me experience this. ^-^

Moko241 - I know what those feelings are like and I just want you to know that there is life with Jesus Christ. He saved me from sin, death, and the grave. He will do the same for you....if you give Him a chance. Cheers!
Dear Brendon, with all do respect to the point you just discussed, in a dark world like the one we live in, it's essential to keep faith, it's highly important to engage with positive thinking. 1st of all, we don't happen to engage with big achievements everyday, especially Big Goals that needs patience ,that's why we should split them to small ones in small periods so we can keep track and feel the progress, AND sometimes the maximum moment of awareness or consciousness could happen when you are bored, sad, sleepy, but not necessarily happy, so you cannot correlate joy with awareness all the time. it's like the movie (inside out) where the right moment to be chosen was correlated with a feeling different than joy. i just wanted to clear this one out, so that people won't limit the definition of self awareness with joy only. the best moment of self awareness is when you are THINKING . Henry ford : " thinking is the hardest thing there is, that's why only few people engage in it".
that bit about 'that's not me, I'm not like that'... defending your behavior when you really are like that - very powerful and sobering. thanks much
Wow, this guy is amazing! I love the part about disassociation... very true, and not many people realise this! It took me a while to realise it myself. I feel so energetic after this!
These principles sound simple but magical when applied....thank you Brendon!
I think Brendon is taking happy pills.

Dude I love you! This video was freaking AMAZING!!!!
This is brendons best video series. It changed my life from 2016.
I have been going through the numbness for so long. Had no idea how to change it. I was told it was just a symptom of PTSD. Pretty much that I would be stuck with it. This has been the best information I could have gotten. Incredibly helpful. I need more of this in my life.
I am so grateful Brendon, that I have this to rely on. This lack of self awareness is my biggest wall and it is the giant I need to overcome. I have always wondered exactly what it was, why I feel so numb and handicapped and incapacitated towards friends or loved ones day after day, why people I love don't know that it's there and why I don't let myself be happy when accomplishing goals. The first nine minutes were so intensely true, they flew by and I knew with conviction you speak truth, you speak life. I want to live a charged life and follow your teachings, thank you!
by far the greatest most inspiring motivational speaker of all time! your videos have changed my life
My problem is I am so far from reality, I'm stuck in my head. I think to myself to much, I have arguments with myself. I'm too self aware of all my faults. Not sure what to do. I can't focus on anything. I think to myself too much. My conscious and my active mind is like a different person I can't tell to shutup.

+reptilesgamers00 Maybe (s)he meant that if you take action your state will shift. For example, if you take a lot of action your thinking mind will shut down. Or the 5 second rule, act on an impulse within 5 seconds or else the idea will down. Or you can try active meditation like Bio-Energetics. Check Elliot Hulse his channel for his Warmup and/or what I do when I am depressed.

+reptilesgamers00 everyone has this voice in their head. You just have to be aware of the voice when it is active and choose to think about something more positive. It is a difficult task, but over time the voice will get quieter and quieter... and eventually leave.
This is awesome stuff Brendon. We've learnt a great deal from you. A true inspiration!
Thank you so much. Whatever you've just said is what I feel right now and I never felt such alive for a long time until I've seen this video.
Feels like the practical implementation of the "Power of Now". Loving these ... Awesome! Thank you. I'll listen to these everyday.
I absolutely love your POV on self-awareness, I totally agree. I believe we are more aware when we're young, however, that soon diminishes as we get older due to conformity. Keep up the good work, I love your videos.
Thank you Brandon! On point like usual! You're definitely one of my favorite word engineers! Keep shining and showing light to people!
You guys have intuition that is guiding you to succeed and people don't have that in voice that's helping them in life.
Thanks for this one man. Feeling what you are doing is so important.
I have been listening to you motivation vedeos alot lately. Beginning to feel this higher sense is amazing. Thank you!!!
You've said what can make any person take a second look at their attitude , behaviours towards other people as well as towards themselves too. As always you are amazing. You keep pushing people to make better decisions about their own lives. There's only one word I can describe U with ( Generous )
Having an addiction to excitement, isn't walking as awareness. Being mis-identified with the body and the life drama, isn't happiness. It is mis-identification. What a loss to be lost in the never-ending, illusory and transient joys/sorrows of life's drama....without ever being free in one's true nature -- Awareness Itself. Awareness is always present. It only takes a moment to be aware and wide open. However, getting lost to the addiction to being 'charged up', is just that, pursuing a life of being lost.
Brendon Buchard YOU ARE GREAT!!! thanx for your words
just discovered your page brendon and I love it. I'm applying a lot of your information to my own life . I appreciate what you are doing here thank you.
All these things are under my control, very empowering thought, thanks Brendon! Much love from Bali ❤️

Another great video Brendon with great insights.
Whenever I start to feel anxious, I pray.
Your so right & I'm working on this self-awareness this week!
Hi Brendon, I love all of your videos they all seem to be so insightful and full of passion. The 4th "Horsemen" really hit home for me. I'm so distracted and I allow myself to be. It's so true that it's all in my command to change it and I will! I will be doing what your doing one day. I'm sure we will meet in the future! ^_^ All the best Tavian
Hey Brendon, love your content! I own several of your books :) May I say, I feel like these old videos you made feel like the Real you; particularly, the music on this feels so much more genuine than the music on your more current content... something about That music feels like it's contrived and only exists to keep up with a modern trend... just my two cents! Thanks so much for your wisdom and knowledge!! 🙏🏼 God bless
Don't analyze so much, just engage and live.
Your videos are GREAT!! Excellent motivation!!
I love you from the bottom of my heart, Brendon!
Brendon, thank you!
you sir just earned yourself a subscriber, wise words fro an open mind.
This is the first time I have ever heard you. Brendon, I get you..... I don't mean, the content. I mean you as a person. You are excited!!! You are so excited that you (more than likely) constantly have to remind yourself to "sloooooow dowwwwn" hahahaha! RIght? I recognize that source inside you. Its real. Its raw. I appreciate this video. It is very relevant to my own life. I watched a few on this topic. But I liked yours the best. It was most relatable!
wonderful, Brendon. I commend you for bringing to the forefront the importance of honoring and acknowledging feelings. Really important bit about dissociation. That's a big one!
"That's who you are" - Yes! We have to call ourselves out consistently. Thank you for sharing these tips *****
Brilliant. I was cynical about these motivational videos, but this one spoke to me loud and clear. Really summed up some of my delusions and excuses and points a way forward.

Wow ... it was awesome.
*I agree, thanks for sharing this :)*
you are brilliant
Explained very well Brendon! My definition of self-focus means, to me, how does what I do look to others. Looking for outer approval. This does not serve or benefit anyone. Self-awareness, to me, means I notice what is happening within me, how does what I do feel in my body. It is becoming aware of how I am feeling at every moment. Switching from self-focus to self-awareness has been extremely positive in my life! I'm thrilled you touched on this!
Brilliant :)
Wonderfull. ...
The best I've seen
u r amazing thk a lot
I really love your videos I would love to know how to deal with depression when it hits you and you cant get out of I I find it hard to think positive sone days I dont have that vitality on
I would offer a counter proposal to this theme: the better feeling of "flow," of being lost in an activity, absorbed and performing at peak level. Self-awareness is an impediment to that, I submit. Let's not be careless and embrace 'self-aware' as dogma and shut our brains off from questioning its pros/cons. There are cons, the loss of flow.

But he's saying that you should ALLOW yourself to be fully involved and passionate in the things you are doing. What he's talking about is being so distracted by what else you have to do that you just coast through things that you want to do without getting fully involved. Being self aware allows you to say to yourself "Hey, you're pulling back a little, let it go and let yourself get in to what you are doing right now". Self awareness isn't an impediment to flow. It's realizing when flow does happen, allowing it to happen and not stopping it from doing so.

A wake up call, honestly.
Only losing oneself totally, Truth can be seen. Only after the complete annihilation of your self, Truth will reveal their image. Teach me how to extinguish myself the way the wind extinguishes the spirit of a candle, and I will reveal you the subtleties of the creation. Only the moth that has thrown himself in the flame of the candle, that has consumed to nothingness, knows the true essence of the candle.

***** A drop of water in the ocean that is attached to self-awareness, will always be a drop of water in the ocean and recognize itself as such. For example by emphasizing its uniqueness. On the contrary, a drop of water that dissolves its self-awareness, that get rids off of any idea of self, becomes the ocean itself!

Uliks Gryka So, you are saying that, if I get rid of my individuality, I'll stop being human and become humanity itself? How can I know if this is good? Won't I just become a slave of the majority?
@uliks2434
9 жыл бұрын
***** Get rid off the idea of good and evil, accept them as equally desirable. You are already a slave. We are already slaves; no matter if the enslaver is called individuality, majority, nature, or God. You must only accept that state of being. If you get rid of your individuality you will become the Creation themselves. You wont be confining your being in a predetermined form, you will be every form, in every place.
@MSGBS100
9 жыл бұрын
Uliks Gryka That's pretty wise. But let's go to what really matters: how do I get rid of my individuality? And what is to be "the Creation themselves"? PS: If you prefer to talk about it in another place, maybe a more private one, like facebook, skype or whatever, feel free to tell me and I'll send you my address.
