agree with some aspects of this.. but there are also some deliberately obnoxious spiteful people who go out of their way to be frustrating no matter how much we have helped them cos they r harbouring some resentment toward us.

Ya my step daughter is harbouring resentment towards me she is 23 and causing me heartache ...My son at 37 can also be a know it all and carries a sense of superiority it really frustrates me but I bite my tongue more than I say something but when I say something I usually say too much it's hurtful all the way around ...I'm pretty good natured and have a good sense of humor ...but lately I am feeling down and been dealing with this for awhile now if I remove them out of my life I will be so Loney as I'm sure they will go to the extreme and cut me out completely....it's a dam if you do and dam if you don't ...hard to let go and walk around avoiding and make yourself not noticed ....really is hurtful....

cant help but i think this message is kinda dangerous - because it basically invites people to emotionally abuse and use you while you say yourself: "UNDERSTAND THEM". i did this as good as i could for years and it left my mind pretty bruised...

Agreed. Are you supposed to stand there while they verbally punch you in the face and think to yourself, "It's OK, maybe they're just having a bad day?" Never worked for me until I started fighting back.

Actually i think what he meant was first communicate your intentions clearly...patiently tell the people who frustrate you that it is not the right thing to do...if they are not ready to listen, then yes its time to fight back or cut loose...i am an introvert myself so i know its really tough to communicate but somehow thats what u gotta do

I don't believe in always appealing to a person's better nature because they might not have one. I carry myself with basic positivity but if someone is a dangerous amoral adversary, I'm not above giving them a taste of their own medicine in spades. "We sleep soundly in our beds because rough men stand ready in the night to visit violence on those who would do us harm." It's not nice but that's the way a lot of the world is. You have to be tough as well as kind and sometimes that means you have to end up dealing with some nasty stuff. That's life.

I admire your trust in humanity, but in my experience I found that at work some people are just deeply dishonest and greed and they don't give a fig to run over other people and ruin other people's careers if this can help them to get ahead and make more money. And they have a perfectly smoot life at home. I am sorry to say that, but some people are just really ugly, and that is the reality in which we live.

I'm a person who frustrates people mostly because I over-explain. You just clarified why I always feel the need to explain my thought sequence. I always just want people to understand. The people that get frustrated with me about it are the people who just don't want to understand, they just want things to go the way they want them to go. Thank you for another great point, as always. I've yet to hear one "speech" that I don't agree with.

I told her many times what I needed from her when I shared my day story at work, with people etc was to listen without rescuing, judgements, opinions; just listen. I even had to break down into small bits for her to understand my need but she continued to struggle to listen and reflect without rescuing. We went couple counselling and still didn't work. I left after 9 years!

Thank you for this. I must admit, I'm usually patient and understanding, but some people seem to operate on a different level and stubbornly don't want to be helped and that tests the patience of a saint. There's caring and then there's tolerating someone at the cost of one's own sanity.

Brandon a personal thank you for this messages. Today I praised God to give me back my good will to do things, in the latest days I was getting idle. For some reason, and I don't know how, I found your video about "successfull people thoughts", I really felt what you said so I opened your profile and clicked on this video, I felt it directed to me. So a deep, deep thank you for doing this for us humanity, we really need someone to remember us certain things which are stored in our heart, but we like to bypass them somehow. Today I finally finished the lyrics of my first song, which maybe I will put on youtube one day. This is what I will do. Music, I am a piano player and composer, and I will to everything it's needed to fullfil my dreams. Thank you so much for your speech, I subscribed, you deserve attention because you really carry the power of Love and Unity, and it's extremely important during this time of passage of human consciousness. If you will need original musics made with heart for your videos, or anything in your life... you know there is a young soul in Rome, Italy, who would be honored to cooperate with you, brother. I wish you the best in your life, much Love and deep Thanks !!! Mario.

It looks like this video is a bit older, and I'm disappointed I didn't find it earlier. I think a lot of us try to remind ourselves that we may have disconnected from others, but we don't do it often enough. Thank you for making this video, and reminding me about perspectives.

This is advise that’s slightly off centre, never ever let someone abuse you,or allow them too much room for them to go on destroying you. The best way to help them is walk away and say this isn’t right. Plus you can often tell someone the truth but are they ready to here it. These are the profound questions that this guy is overlooking. It’s not for you to fix people it’s for people to realise all by them selves opps! I need to fix myself.

Such an awesome vedio. I have been trying hard to become a positve and motivating person, but when I face "stupid" people, I just could not control my anger and frustration. So good to watch this vedio, as Brendon said, always remember that you don't know what other people might have been going through their life, just like sometime myself would behave stupid when I was not thinking straight; make sure what you expect from them is clearly understood by them, our words can be so confusing that what you said may mean quite different from other people's perspecitve; altitude is important, we need to help people, upbuilding their confidence and competence, as that is what we would expect from other people too. Always be centered, be present, be more control of our thinking and response to outside rather than the outside world which we cannot control. Love this vedio, need to practise more from now on. Thank you Brendon.

It's more of a case by case basis. I have found that many people will state up front why they are frustrated and they are easier to work with. Communication is key. The ones that do not state why they are frustrated and act like entitled children need to check their attitude at the door if they want the best outcome or solution to the problem.

I go crazy when I'm interrupted again and again while I'm working on an urgent project. I'd love to help everybody but I need my work to be done in time. And sometimes I see people prefer asking for somebody's help to doing something themselves just to make their lives easier. Oh, and there is a colleague who I'd say is brilliant in finding questions which can easily frustrate you. So she will ask you the same question day after day and just watch you going mad. I tried to answer her question as I'd normally do to any other person. But the next day she asks the same question. I explain the situation in other words. The next day she greets you with the same question and you ask yourself whether she has a bad memory or is just kidding you. I tried to leave her question without any answer at all but it didn' t help...

I think the message is not to agree with everbody's bulshit, but just not to loose control everytime.. so probably the best for you would be just to say this person what really you think about him/her, but calmly ... like: hey, I'm glad you always ask for help, but I answered you this question a lot of times. if you cant understand what I'm saying you should probably ask for somebody else, I have a lot of stuff to do myself and I cant waste my time everyday with this shit .. most probably, this person wont speak to you anymore, but, really, why you need such a person anyway

Tough stuff i think you should really take brendons advice and be clear with ppl,, for instance if someone asks you a question try and respond as best to your ability and politely explain your issue in finishing your project on a dead line and they most likely understand and didnt know how much it really bothered you really were in the fisrt place communication usually fixes things without ever being rude,, just think about how those ppl see you as a go to person and look up to you for resolving an issue and youll probly feel a bit better about it:)
