This is what batman is meant to be a symbol to inspire people not a campy comical hero, this batman was meant to have a beginning,middle & end not be batman forever because this trilogy takes place in real life. I watch this trilogy all the time,I can't stop watching them because there SO GOOD, it makes makes the marvel world look like a cartoon. Nolan said in 2012 "For me comic book movies have become too much, we'll shoot a film that looks like the pages of a comic book, I wanna make a real film", Nolan was smart to do that, that's why so many people love batman & it will continue for generations.

He seems like a very humble person. The movie is so good it´s unbelivable. Really enjoyed this movie and all the actors. Great stuff

He really created the joker into a villain no other superhero or comic book character has ever seen before. he really is an artist.

Nolan is the same to Hollywood, as Batman to Gotham.

Not the hero Hollywood deserves, but the one it needs.

His use of realism in the films mixed with complete originality is what really drives them past their predecessors. Tim Burton's film may be different in style but it's so clearly not as good as Nolan's. The joker in the dark knight was so terrifying because it captured what a ingenious, brilliant, and at the same time insane man he was; something that the other films, TV shows, and even comics didn't do.

Well.. he'll be producing the Superman-reboot ;) And I don't quite get your point. He might have taken a story many people do know, but he actually created something very different. There were other movies about Batman before, there were comics and tv-shows.. But bb and tdk are quite different. Especially tdk. I hope he'll let Bane kill Batman, but I actually don't think so. On the other hand, I get your point. I just loved The Prestige and Inception.

I agree - I always think of Tim nice but dim when I see Nolan.
