🚲 The Custom Cargo E-Bike Is DONE! - Cargo EBike (1000W, 48V, Hub Motor) [P8]

After months of work, it's finished!
I'm super happy with how it came out, from the custom disc brake setup (this bike never came with disc brakes) to the plethora of 3D printed accent parts. I really like how the paint job came out, the red accents tying in the cargo bins it all just works. This may not be everyone's cup of tea when it comes to aesthetics but I appreciate the more industrial type looks.
As for the bike functionally it works great! It's a super smooth ride thanks to the more upright and laid-back riding position of a cruiser bike. There aren't a lot of cruiser ebike builds out there, but this is one of if not my favorite style of bike frame as the comfort is unmatched (maybe by a recumbent, but I haven't ridden one of those yet). I know the frame style isn't as popular as say a downhill or mountain bike frame, which are nice too, but cruisers will always be cool in my opinion.
This is one of the lowest power ebikes I have ever made at "only" 1000W, it still goes fast, up to 27MPH which is plenty of speed for a bicycle, and this is more designed to be a hauler than a speed demon. The range is quite nice with the 14AH pack, I didn't do any specific range testing however I did go on a few 2 hour bike rides and still had 30-40% left in the battery. Plus the battery compartment is big enough to house another battery, also you have a ton of racks and storage if you wanted to go even further.
I'm really pleased with the end results of this bike, however I must say that from the inception this project is ultimately a failure. Not because it doesn't work or look good, if anything it's because it looks too good. This was supposed to be just a "beater" type trash bike that I didn't really care about if it got scraped up or stolen, but I've spent way too much time on it and it looks too nice. Plus it took me a very long time to make, this was supposed to be something I threw together in a weekend (or two) but ended up taking me months, with way too much thought and care going into all of the functional and aesthetic details. It's really a problem and I will eventually make a "trash" bike, but for now this is what I have.
I have a ton more projects in the works, and some of them will be much more extreme. Thank you guys so much for watching and I can't wait to show you more and more creations.

    Really good job the way you've put this ebike together. Awesome cruiser for getting around on. Blown away with the amount of work you put into this project using a shopping cart and your imagination. Thanks for sharing 😎👍

    That bike is great. I would definitely ride it the way it is.( nice torque arms) did you have a change of heart😊I have a pretty fast bike, but I usually only go 25 or 28 so I can make it to work on one battery.

    ты оставил 3 звёзды спереди,будет спадать цепь на таком,нужно хотя бы поставить передний переключатель,но использовать его как успокоитель,не пользоваться,но он будет держать цепь

  • @hightech-lowlife

    @hightech-lowlife

    Вы по-прежнему можете вручную выбрать передаточное число. Я всегда снимаю передний переключатель со своих велосипедов, никогда не было проблем с цепями. Переключатель фактически не касается цепи, когда вы не переключаете передачи, и уж точно не для того, чтобы «удерживать цепь на месте». Кроме того, мощность имеет прямой привод, она не проходит через цепь, большая часть мощности, которую воспринимает цепь, - это мощность педали.
