I love how his voice has not changed it’s very rare you find singers from the 80s who still can sing like they used to

Mochi Boi True but face it - at least the songs of theirs I am familiar with do not require what one might consider a very broad vocal range so that has to help. Now Steve Perry at 70 singing Journey songs? Don’t think so as he doesn’t hit the high notes like he did at 30.

What an absolute legendary band this is. They've been impossible to pin down. Everyone thinks of them as shoegazing goths but they've written some of the most perfect pop songs in history. Į first saw them on TV in Oz in about 1980, and I've been a fan ever since.

As much of an influence the cure is on a lot of bands and from the time they made their best music, the thing I enjoy the most is Robert smiths humility and longevity as a performer.

For those of you wondering why his voice hadn't changed hardly any compared to his peers- from what I could find in some light googling, he never smoked. Every, and I mean EVERY other celebrity of the time smoked. It gave them a nice gravely back then, but it destroyed their voices with age. Don't smoke, kids!

It was my first taste of rejection. I was heartbroken. The girl whom I thought I would spend the rest of my life with rejected me out flat. I was a total wreck. Teary jerky .. Then I heard this song. And it hit me specifically the line " Keep on laughing, hiding the tears in my eyes" And that's what I did.. I became a jerk, the laughing stock of the class overnight, but no one knew the true reason why.
