“Just Like Heaven” (extended remix) - The Cure - Redone (Again)
Ойын-сауық
The Cure performing my favorite by them, “Just Like Heaven” in a mix of clips edited and dubbed with an extended remix of the track from their album, “Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me” (1987).

I remember how old I was and where I was when I first heard this song and started loving the cure. Now it’s hours away from 2024 and I still love this song. This is truly one of the best songs ever. This is a magical and when you listen to this song, most of the songs from the care, you just feel like you’re taken away someplace better

A lot of musicians "back in the day" were students of music. Some studied classical techniques. Maybe they started out in High School Band, but a lot of bands had real musical training, like Queen, and ELO. Then came "rap" and the "internet". Remember Bieber? Neither do I.

@@annettematisz46 I'll suggest that the early days of "Rock and Roll" were monetized from the beginning, with Elvis and The Beatles leading the charge. There was ultimately money to be made, which drove the promoters (I forget who it was for Elvis), record labels, concerts, and radio industries. We just can see it clearer today.
I could listen to this non stop. ❤
One of the best songs ever written. I could listen to this for hours. It's magical!

Arguably the greatest pop intro of all time... Written by the antithesis of a pop musician - THAT is what makes this song perfect.

That synth sound colliding with the "milky" guitar lead is pure heaven
A pure music Genius for sure, the Cure songs can take you back to a specific time in the 80s for Gen X a beautiful time to be a teen and falling in love for the first time.
❤ This is bad ass..! It's the Cure's fine display of nothing but heartfelt compassion captured in an almost perfect tune.. The synth/pianist nails it and elevates this extended studio mixed song into the stratosphere..🎉 Visually, the cure's line up and look is covered from over the past 20 years! 😊
Mr Smith is a phenom in a genre all his own... uniquely superb...

Spot on . I'm 59.
Thank you for making this song longer ❤️
"Show me, show me, show me how you do that trick The one that makes me scream." she said "The one that makes me laugh." she said And threw her arms around my neck "Show me how you do it, And I promise you, I promise that I'll run away with you, I'll run away with you." Spinning on that dizzy edge I kissed her face and kissed her head And dreamed of all the different ways I had to make her glow "Why are you so far away?" she said, "Why won't you ever know That I'm in love with you, That I'm in love with you." You Soft and only You Lost and lonely You Strange as angels Dancing in the deepest oceans Twisting in the water You're just like a dream You're just like a dream Daylight licked me into shape I must have been asleep for days And moving lips to breathe her name I opened up my eyes And found myself alone alone Alone above a raging sea That stole the only girl I loved And drowned her deep inside of me You Soft and only You Lost and lonely You Just like heaven

fantastic song and extending it makes it even better the piano parts are gorgeous with one of the best guitar riffs ever well done

This is an incredible song! The soaring keyboard in the background is almost haunting in its re-enforcement of the vocals and the guitar run.
