Anyone putting up these weights with mobility issues or less than ideal proportions deserves nothing but respect

Ive always appreciated Robu for his technique because he cant get into the hole well at all but he puts the weight up and makes it work.

Robu is a great inspiration for anyone who lifts and has less than ideal body structure. Amazing! His 378 total has him relatively safe for Paris. He’s actually 8th because the Egyptian Abokahla went up to 381. Belorussian Asayonak is 10th with 374. USAs Damron and Canadas Santavy are just out of the running but breathing down their backs. Thailand should be wild.

This guy is definitely a fighter! So funny how his battle with himself is so hard and when it's over Karlos just starts his first attempt and the guy is 19 years old! :D

perhaps I'm just not in the know but how much more could he be lifting if he just improved his ankle mobility? Or did he suffer some sort of ankle injury preventing that?

Can someone take the time to say what is the "crazy" technique? A lot of youtubers are using the word as a click bait. I wonder what people say when someting actually crazy happens? I guess they shut up

Exactly. These guys are fake admirers getting off vicariously in seeing someone else exercise - the sort of lift they themselves would want to do but can’t (for various reasons in their own lives) 😂

Another example that for elite athletes there is not such thing as "correct techniques".

His catch is cause of anatomical imbalances, not because of his technique. Besides he's this close to his second Olympics. Why would he get rid of the guy helping him get there?

of course not. no woman would be stupid enough to compete in men's league, even with the best hormones treatments there is absolutely no way a woman could reach those weights in this bodyweight category.
