The reason was he had a cramp in his leg didn't wanna risk injury ahead of the Paris games so Plamen told him to just take 1st place without the reccord.
loved to see how the Italian team congratulated Nassar
This is how you cover weightlifting. You show both the backroom footage and the platform. WH does such a great job at this. It was so good to see team Italy congratulating Karlos and his coaching team. I'm so glad that part was filmed. It just ties the whole competition together.
Carlos said right after the event, he was ill couple days prior and was dehydrated which lead to cramps in his right leg. This is why his trainer told him out of it. Even though you could have seen Karlos really wanted to risk it all for his own people. A true Bulgarian Lion!
Great sportsmanship from Team Italy. Class act.
Nino has a big heart, full respect from Bulgaria for his attempt
It was a blast! The atmosphere in Arena was intense!
That clean from nino was INSANE
Respect to Karlos, and Nino but also to the bulgarians supporting their athlete amazing
I was cheering for Karlos, but that last attempt from Nino really made me a fan of his. What a fighter.
Thats good coaching. He was clearly favoring his leg and the commentators never noticed.
Thank You, WH always keeping us updated about everything! Great Respect and huge FAN!
Nice to see they respect each other at the end
We might get to see a 400 kg total sometime in the future, this is insane
Over 40 yrs. tradition in Bulgarian weightlifting 🎉
Just a note, currently Karlos Nasar has put down a 370 entry for the World Cup this April (this is only his preliminary entry so it may change). This most likely means his coaches will probably want Karlos to go lighter and save up his energy for the Olympics.
Karlos’s entry music on BOTH lifts 🥰 Its like the final boss entering the stage 😎
Looks like he hurt his right leg. Probably avoiding injury by not doing the last lift, good coaches.
