The reason was he had a cramp in his leg didn't wanna risk injury ahead of the Paris games so Plamen told him to just take 1st place without the reccord.

This is how you cover weightlifting. You show both the backroom footage and the platform. WH does such a great job at this. It was so good to see team Italy congratulating Karlos and his coaching team. I'm so glad that part was filmed. It just ties the whole competition together.

Carlos said right after the event, he was ill couple days prior and was dehydrated which lead to cramps in his right leg. This is why his trainer told him out of it. Even though you could have seen Karlos really wanted to risk it all for his own people. A true Bulgarian Lion!

Just a note, currently Karlos Nasar has put down a 370 entry for the World Cup this April (this is only his preliminary entry so it may change). This most likely means his coaches will probably want Karlos to go lighter and save up his energy for the Olympics.

Looks like he hurt his right leg. Probably avoiding injury by not doing the last lift, good coaches.
