I love my .40 CMMG Banshee! Took me forever to pick a Cerakote color though. What a great handy "pistol". It's now my home defense gun as it won't blow my eardrums out if I have to use it inside. Thanks for the review.

Gas shooting left handed sucks. The reason I went with the CZ is the lack of gas blowback. Now the subs out of that didn't look like it was blowing out the ejection so maybe heavy loads would be ticket.

It would be less if I added a weight to the bolt carrier.

Don't see why people say 40s&w is weak when its bang in the middle of 9mm and .45 with virtually no difference in FLB

They send out media samples whenever they release a new product. Not really different than most companies in or out of the gun world, really. The difference is that CMMG is way more supportive of the KZread community than most manufacturers.

I ran mine unsuppressed and has FTF. I run Remington UMC to avoid FTF. I run an Omega 45K to avoid FTF. I think the 5” barrel releases too much energy out of the barrel. Whereas the 8” keeps more energy internal to keep it cycling

can u do a comparison of the rd9 and 9mm of banshee as well im torn what to get. Thank you

I messed up. I don’t have the little buffer and spring for my Banshee 40. I use a standard buffer and spring in it now, because CMMG said that’s the kit to use. However, I won’t cycle 9mm without being suppressed. Also, I have to use high end ammo in 40 to cycle unsuppressed. 🙄🙄

I'm buying one "when" they get this in 10mm that would be a great truck gun for camping or Overlanding.

Tulammo 180gr is only 830fps out of my Glock 23 and 860 out of my sub2k. It is my go to subsonic ammo to shoot suppress in .40

That sounds a bit under-powered. Double tap gets 200g over 1,000fps no problem.

@@khaccanhle1930 double tap is good stuff. The tulammo 40 is definitely underpowered, but its quiet and is only $11 for 50rds. It feels like shooting 9mm.

I like your channel Cameron because you do it like I do, quality videos over quantity. ...Cmmg is top quality, i'ld take them over Colt any day....

I like the banshee but a lot of good that suppressor does for those two style of bullets that you used before the last one doing this Extremely Loud I don't see where suppressor does any good for those two type of bullets the last one that you use was a little bit quieter but what good is a suppressor to keep the noise level down if you're going to shoot something through it that's too damn loud and it would be nice if he would do in your video of how much they cost thank you

Silencers can’t do anything to stop the sonic crack of supersonic bullets. That noise happens as the bullet is racing through the air creating its own sonic boom. The difference between the quiet rounds and the loud ones simply comes down to velocities, which I actually touch on before shooting the last load.

have you tried those Goliath glock mag stendos? +20

I could be wrong but a weapon designed for 40 specifically should be more reliable with HP ammo

You'd certainly want it to be that way, but fat hollowpoints are tough to get started up a feed ramp.

@@justanotherinternetexpert7743 the truncated nose of the 40 being what it is seems like it mimics a hollow point and should by design work a little better compared with ammo that is traditionally round is my thinking

How's the upper/lower fit? I have Banshees in 9mm and 45 and the slop between the components is annoying. Lots of sharp corners too. Still fun shooters though - smoother recoil impulse than my other blowback PCC/Ps.

I don’t notice any more slop than other ARs.

40 is a way better suppressor host than 9. Its always subsonic unless you use special ammo and it carries way more energy with a 180 grain verses a 147 grain 9mm.

Any 40 that is loaded up to its full power (not +P) in 165 grain or less should be supersonic.

What surpressor are you using?

Don't get me wrong I want one I just want to know how much they cost and what would be the best round for keeping it quiet not trying to wake up the neighborhood

@@Mmyers1177 Underwood Ammo's 125 grain comes screaming out of a 4in barrel around 1,500 fps so i can only imagine what a longer barrel would do to get that full powder burn.

@Tommy TwoGun - Exactly that automatically puts you well into .357 Magnum territories even more with the 147 grain variety. Underwood 147 grain + p does approximately 1300 FPS from a 4 inch barrel with 50 FPS more for every inch of barrel. That gets to approximately 1500 FPS in the heaver round! So you have (34) rounds of Magnum power to defend yourself in a short overall package!

Oh, SO close! An eighth of an inch more and we could have had a 10mm!

Will it use the mag's that my model 22 uses to? I would've like to heard it without the silencer on it for at least a few round's. I run the model 22 & 18 for Police work and would like something like this in my trunk also instead of having to use a AR-15 in 5.56 cal. all the time.

Use a 40 in a duty size gun with ammo that takes it up to its full potential and you will be impressed. So I suppose, you are right, you would not want to shoot something that would bust all those myths about 40 if you want to be accepted by the tight T-shirt tactitard tribe.
