So.... I don't want to be that guy but these were both my "brainchildren" executed by Dimitri 👏🏾. 4 or 5 years ago when I was pushing for them everyone said "who would want a 1x or 1.5x prism?" I knew folks would love it if executed properly though 😉. Great review; explains the benefits and properties better than I did 👍🏾

5:58 mounts height: The PA Cyclops comes with a mount that has the same height as any mount designed to give an Aimpoint T1/H1 an absolute co witness from on top of an ARMS CASV rail system. The Cyclops 1x prism, itself, is a little taller than a T1/H1 sized red dot. So when mounted on its factory mount, or any after market CASV sized mount, your Cyclops will have an absolute co witness, with iron sights, when mounted to your flat top receiver. If you mount a Cyclops on ANY standard height T1/H1 red dot type mount, the Cyclops will have a perfect lower 1/3 view, with iron sights, when mounted on top of the AR flat top receiver.
I subbed after we had a little chat about astigmatisms and red dots. Your attention to detail when describing a product and the attention to detail on how to use the product is unprecedented. Great videos sir, thanks
They've come a long way from their beginnings. I got one of their first rds and still running it today. Might have to look into this scope as well.
Thank you, I have not understood these until now. I do have astigmatism and I have recently found the joy of the prism scope.

I just shot mine for the first time last month and I love it. Just ordered another one for the 300blk. Just fantastic with my eyes and the reticle is phenomenal.
Thanks for the awesome review. I just got this scope today. The sight picture and reticle are crisp. I really like how you can use it like a red dot, but at the same time use it to find the range for longer shooting.
I think I just found the very optic that I want. Thanks, Twangnbang!
Got mine recently, and my initial impressions are positive overall, but I need to do a little work with it before I can really judge fully.
Thanks Twangnbang great video it looks good and solid to me for the money I’m not planning on engaging anything beyond 200 yards two or four legged.
Why aren't they made in ODG ???,untill buyers realize black always heats up in the summer and FDE is too light .
I had bought one in high hopes to use a bunch for my rifle. Overall the quality was great, but for me, even with my glasses the reticle was too small for me to use to its designed intent.
Primary Arms makes really good optics for the money. I have their 2.5x CQB scope on my AR15, and one of their 4-14x scopes on my AR10. I really like the ACSS reticles too.
I’ve had this optic for a couple of months now, and think it’s awesome. I did not realize there was an adjustable diopter until I saw this video. Thanks for the heads up.

I have a lot more handguns than I do rifles, but I do have 4 ARs done and setup how they're staying. I've been wanting to build another one but haven't been sure exactly what I want to build. I know I want this optic so that gives me an idea of where to start with the next build. I'm going to enjoy this, both the optic and building the gun around it. Probably going to use the Aero Precision M4E1 reciever set as a jumping off point. Thanks for another awesome video man. Really appreciate the fantastic content.
Great vid thanks love this optic if you have astigmatism dude just get it you won’t regret it. It’s that good can’t wait to see a gen.2 come out
Thanks for another great video T&B! Recently bought a PA Cyclops largely based on this video. I have a vortex spitfire on another rifle and thought I would give this a try, mostly because of the bdc, which is absent on the spitfire. Initial reaction is that the PA Cyclops seems well made with excellent glass. But the chevron really needs to be 50 to 100 percent bigger. I mean it’s tiny. Shooting it for the first time tomorrow. Will update if my opinion changes.
Excellent video brother! Got the Holosun 510C & my stigmatism is just not letting me see a clear target picture. Even though multiple reviews say Chevron is very small, I'll probably still be giving this optic a try.
Excellent review! Thanks for doing the comparison with the TA44acss. I'm considering both optics but will have to save up for a long time for one over the other.
Good video, love the ACSS reticle!
Happy Thanksgiving T&B, good to see you back. Thanks for adding this to my Christmas shopping list LOL.
cOOL little optic!! Awesome review, as usual. Thanks TWANGnBANG ;-)
I recommend the Sightmark Triple Duty 3-9x42mm Riflescope - 30mm Tube Illum CDX Reticle Black Matte or the AR-15 of any caliber !
Ya, glad your back. Does that big dial on the left of the sight obscure the image?
@TWANGnBANG
5 жыл бұрын
With both eyes open, your left eye sees right around it and fills in what it blocks with your right eye. It was actually a design choice for that reason because a big dial on the right side of an optic blocks your right eye with no way for the left to fill in the image.
@fredfellwock

Boom outdoors .... Yes, it does a bit. The Vortex version of 1x prism has the battery underneath and does not obstruct. No ACSS version of that though. It offers daylight brightness. I have both but it’s hard to say if one is better than the other because I like the ACSS a lot.
I wish they made a 1x prism optic with a simple chevron. And mount the battery below the tube and use flush adjustment turrets like the Sig Romeo5 AR.
Great review! Tons of detail and images! Thanks!!

Thanks for the review and comparison against the Trijicon. Not sure what you're running in the rifles, but may I suggest trying a Bootleg adjustable carrier, and PRI gas busting charging handle. Yes. A lot of people are missing this.
I have only 1 gripe about the PA Cyclops 1x Prism Scope. I wish it had a different riticle. I wish it had the CQB riticle that the 2.5x and 3x prism scopes have. I just think that it's better riticle. Plus it has BDC points out to a longer range. But I do love my PA Cyclops!
absolutely great review ! thank you sir!

Your rifle's Mom just called. It would like a new paint job and it identifies as woodland camo. Love the channel. I am the owner of multiple TA33, TA31 ACOG and several other high end carbine optics but Cyclops/ACSS is my favorite. Weird. I just ordered another one today as I have sworn off all rifle red dots. Anyone want to buy an Aimpoint Pro?
just my two cents. Ive used acogs in Iraq and in a lot of training. The sight is overall amazing. My only complaints of the acog is 1. the fiber optic creates a reticle that is far too bright in daylight sunny environments. 2. the eye relief is absolutely horrible and requires that you have 20x20 vision in order to work correctly. 3. the small steel cables that attach the adjustment knobs will break with use. Trijicon could probably save some money by not even using those small cables.
Need to switch to an OSS Helix that will fix your back pressure issues.
I bought this in the 3 times and love it. It will help you reach out farther than this one. Well worth the money.
Awesome Overview!!! Have a Happy Thanksgiving with Family n friends!!! Thanxs!!!
The cyclops doesn't have in between settings? I'm 99% sure it does. Maybe not on purpose but I put just in between the numbers with no issues.
The reticle is way too small but the glass and build quality are excellent
Very thorough comparison review. I still can not make up my mind. Can you just tell me which one to buy?
I like the MARPAT paint job.
Dang I just bought a holosun red dot about a month ago, great sight but I definitely would have gone with this if I could go back... Just means I need to buy another gun that needs an optic!
They have produced another great optic.
This is a great video! Thanks for it!!!!!

@sandwichninja

You can use a 3x magnifier with a cyclops, but only if you mount the magnifier after cyclops (as in further from your eye so the cyclops is between your eye and the magnifier). This is going to look weird, and you'll likely get some know-it-alls trying to correct you. Not that I've tried it. I just feel like that's what would happen lol.

Lesson learned: scoping down does not increase your accuracy by x20 (cod reference)
I'm almost sold on the cyclops. I run a fixed front sight so I'm not sure how I'd like it with that front sight post sticking up in the field of view. Did that rifle come with that camo or did you have it done? It looks awesome.

Are they considering releasing a version with just the chevron?
An honest question for you. Why would you chose this over a red dot? Both are 1x, but the red dot has unlimited eyebox - so you can put a magnifier behind it. With this, what you see is all you get. So why? I'm actually looking for a sight right now, so I'm curious what I'm missing.
@TWANGnBANG
5 жыл бұрын
You’re actually referring to unlimited eye RELIEF, not eyebox. All sights have an eyebox, which is defined by where you can position your head and still see an image. Regardless, you can use a magnifier with this, too. Several reviews demonstrate that. Other answers: 1. This has an etched reticle that will work no matter whether or not you have access to batteries. 2. Prism optics are astigmatism-friendly. If you have an astigmatism, you’ll always see a crisp reticle with a prism optic like this. 3. A prism optic allows a reticle that is more than just a dot, such as the rangefinder in this. 4. You’re going to pay less for the same amount of durability with a prism optic. Red dots are great- I own lots. However, I still have this optic on my go to HD rifle as I type this because it does even more for me than just a dot.
@AlexN2022
5 жыл бұрын
@@TWANGnBANG yes, you're right - eye relief of course. I can see how to put a magnifier behind it, but if you swing it out - there is no way you could still be within eye relief limits?
When the ACOG Tritium completely fades, how much is the service to replace it?
I bought a red dot and 3x magnifier before learning I have astigmatism. My rifle is set up for those optics with an absolute cowitness with flip up buis. I'm looking to getting one of these, as you and others have noted that it works with a magnifier. I'm a bit confused on some of the contents of the box, though. Is it set up for an absolute cowitness, or do I need to purchase a riser for this?
I wish the ACOG was true 1x. if it were, I think it would be IDEAL.
It does turn off between settings

Thank you for this video. It has helped me decide on how I should spend more money, haha
