IT AIN'T THE FALL THAT GETS YA......................................................It's the sudden stop at the bottom....

I remember playing the critters level and when the computer told you about battery dying I thought it would run out just exactly when I got to the end of the level, like most game did back in the day. When I found out it ran of energy using real-time I really got pumped and desperate to find the exit, ammo running low, enemies coming all the time, time running out, great pacing of music and the true FPS camera did create the most inmersive game to date I have ever played, and best film to game original IP ever made too.

The part where you fall into the pit creeped the absolute hell out of me, when I was younger. The panic and desperation to find some form of sanctuary amid the winding corridors and skulking enemies.

Omfg this ost was fire, i was in the mood to fuck shit up, thia game need a real reboot. In 2004/2005 this game was so much and it killed everything on play station, this shit was ahead of it times

21:09 gave me the chills back then

First time i played butcher's was with assault on dark athena remake, it was sooooo good, great story, great setting, great dialogue and gameplay! Plus it felt like a long trip afterwards when i had to go up to dark athena, which was a little bit disappointing because of how good butcher's bay was.

+Sergio Esteban Fritz Rieloff true the game is pretty great in general, and to me its still good even in 2016, there is no bigger epicness then Vin Diesel, plus i would kill every inmate in their cells so the tazer cameras dont get me xD

The pit is where Riddick falls down into the sewers and has to deal with little screaming mutant men before meeting Pope Joe. Critters IS the song which plays during this time.

43:00 minutes in, Tower 17 base. So awesome.

So many memories from this game, i used to mess about in some of the missions, for example the prison area

'Critters' always got me back into sneak mode just to see if any bugger thought it was funny to start on Riddick

imo the fps with the best atmosphere.

i beat this game on PC tonight

To this day I'm pissed that they replaced the score for the Dark Athena re-release. The action music in the new one is a lot closer to the score of the movies, but doesn't work nearly as well in the game as the original action cues (like Core Red).

Joe music is different on PC then PS3, the ending on PS3 is different on PS3 then PC ending
