People rent through Turo because they have quirky, oddball vehicles. It follows that the owners not only know about the quirks but likely bought the vehicle for that reason.

Important things to note: 1. The CD player doubles as the DVD player, so you don’t need to plug a separate one in. 2. You can tip the rear seats up to gain a flat floor minus a few inches at the front, where the seat sits. This prevents having to remove the seats all of the way. Speaking of, the rear seats can come out by pulling a lever.

GM didn’t want people to say that it’s performance was anemic like all the other hybrids were at that time. They did the same thing with their electric offerings, for example the 2011 Volt which was a range extended electric (a type of plug-in hybrid) had 149 horsepower and 273 lb-ft of torque while the Cruze from that year had 138 horsepower and 125 lb-ft of torque. And the all electric Bolt EV is a subcompact with 200 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque.

I score Doug's score a 0 out of 10. I have a 2008 Yukon hybrid and I truly love it. You turn off or adjust the exit lighting. If you drive 10,000 miles per year, you'll save more $ that the hybrid premium in only a few years. He makes fun of 4 MPG savings for about $9,000 price premium. This is thoroughly a red-herring argument. The bigger 6.0L engine is needed when you're on the highway and it kicks into 4 cylinder mode - very good mileage, too. If you can't fit your backpack in the rear, try the side door - you probably would use the side door with your car too. The reason to get a Yukon is because you want a full-size comfortable ride for several adults. If you you start with the H badging you'll have nothing to stand on. The ride is quiet and soft. My rear wiper motor - we'll I can't hear it - so it's the motor from hell for him .. and he didn't even bother to buy the vehicle. Nobody ever complained about the passenger front foot room - ever. The turn-signal all-in-one combo knob - it takes one day to learn it and remember - no different than most cars which have some sort of multi-combo knob. I don't have a problem with the lit dashboard colors. Just drive it and the vehicle is smart enough itself. If you're hard on any car, your economy will suffer. Taking the 3rd row seats in and out - no problem. The rear door... we'll he made a comedy routine out of nothing. What a silly boy. I won't watch any more of Doug's comedy shows - WHY? 1. He has no vested interest in the vehicle - which makes him mostly wrong in his assessment. 2. He doesn't use it for a long enough period of time to make a REAL list of problems. 3. He would never buy the vehicle (in this case a TAHOE) because he just isn't a Tahoe/Yukon kind-of-guy. 4. He makes fun and ridicules all the things which are not the reason the vehicle is a Hybrid. 5. He missed many of the other more important features or nice touches...for example: built-in AC (120V) adaptor, tire inflater, backup camera, tow capability for the largest trailers, comfortably seat 6/7 large adults, separate ventilation controls for rear seating, separate climate control passenger side. super easy ingress/egress. Doug gets a score of 0/10

Agreed, AR. Nobody bought the Honda Insight (a 2 seater that could get 70mpg). Everybody buys trucks and large SUVs. Even a so-so effort on two mode hybrids on large vehicles will save more gas and cut tailpipe emissions far more than 60mpg microcars ever will. In the end, GM was trying to sell these to people who otherwise would have bought an H2 or an Expedition. With cylinder deactivation and a mild hybrid system that allows for short trips on electric power alone (around town, anyway) these vehicles were far better options than many people think. I agree with doug on the weird badging though. Just strange.

A 2007 prius only gets about 25% better mileage highway than a 2007 corolla. It got about 50% better MPGs in town, though. Even still, figuring 3 bucks a gallon you'd have to drive more than 225K miles, all in the city, before you'd ever make up the cost of the thing. A 2007 prius was ~ $7k over a corolla, that pays off in ~140K miles. I agree with doug, it's dumb and doesn't make sense.

Hey Doug you missed a couple things. The in-dash stereo could play dvds for the screen in the back. You could actually have the kids listening to the dvd with headphones in the back while the parents listened to the radio in the front seats all with the same stereo from the dash. 2nd, You could fold the third row seats up towards the middle row without removing them to give you a much larger load area in the back. Same in the suburban.

So... a few things. 1. That rear wiper is very broken. 2. The "coin slot" is where the 4wd selector goes, this one doesn't have it. 3. The turn signal stalk is really simple. If you just take 30 seconds to look at it, the pictures are very clear and easy to remember I love how consolidated the controls are so you don't have to go on a damn easter egg hunt when you want to wash your rear window... 4. If you just hit the lever on the 3rd-row seats, they fold themselves forward giving you a huge cargo area. 5. The removal of the 3rd row is not "quite a process". You just literally pull the handle. They even have rollers to help guide for installation and removal. A dog could actually do this. 6. I hope your bit about closing the liftgate was intentional, because I know you're not that dull. The strap is to help the vertically-challenged reach the actual handle. This is very obvious. If those are appropriate lifters, the gate should pretty much close itself once it's ~75% down.

Nathan Harris I get the impression that not doing a ton of research before hand and winging it is a part of his schtick/gimmick, rather then simple laziness/sloppiness. His reviews seem to involve a certain degree of winging it, where unlike other cars reviewers who carefully research every aspect of the cars, he appears to do only very basic background research on the car/truck he’s reviewing beforehand but doesn’t learn about every feature. Of corse this annoys some folks quit a lot judging by the comments on his videos, but I’m ok with him not knowing the everything about of every feature of the vehicles he reviews beforehand and sort of winging it but I can understand how that would bother some. It makes him more like average Joe reviewing pulled of the streets to review car rather what you’d expect from say Jay Leno, who wants you to know that knows the cars he talks about (especially those he owns).

Langam But the rest of the world didn’t stop growing FEET at the bottom of their legs. It’s easy to ESTIMATE a FOOT because all of us have FEET. No one is going to ask another person to measure out one exact foot in length without a ruler or tape measure. So, when someone says “it’s about three feet”, they’re saying it’s approximately three feet and you shouldn’t worry if you’re off by a little bit. Look down at your feet. Three of those and that’s what he was talking about. Also, you should know if you’re taller or shorter than the average adult. If you’re shorter, your foot is probably going to be smaller and you should compensate for that. The same goes if you’re taller. This isn’t rocket science.

Ok, I assume you just really dont like Tahoe's so lemme spell some things out (No I'm not a fan either, but seriously dude...) 3:37 You got 20 MPG City in a 5,000+lb BOF SUV with an LQ4. Thats damn good, LQ4's generally got 13 if you drive slow. mine gets 10 in my 2500HD. 5:47 It's called an air dam. pretty much every vehicle has one, even full-size trucks 7:40 I can still clearly see the darker green in the gauge, and I'm half-colorblind (yes, that's a thing) 8:00 GM has used LED arrows in their mirrors since 2003, my 03 Silverado has them. 8:25 GM has used that stalk since 1995, the rear wiper switch used to be cruise control set/accelerate, the rear window washer button was on/off, once you use it you remember easily 8:52 If moving a switch is "Incredibly difficult" you do not need to be driving. 9:35 Yes, back then (hell, even today in a lot of vehicles) most passenger front seats had manual rear adjustment. The drivers side was still 8-way with electric lumbar, like they have been years prior 9:57 Anything to complain about sarcastically eh? 10:18 It's just a pocket in place of an option that wasn't available on this model. Remember they shared the dash with the trucks as well. Would you rather it be a blank space? 10:40 Not really a big deal, unless you are a clown. 11:30 It's a small full-size SUV with 3rd row seating, even the Explorer 3rd row didn't have shit for room back there. You want room, get a Suburban. IDK what else you want from this, ZERO leg room? 12:35 THEY FOLD UP JFC do some research. 13:35 This is pure comedy at this point. You can't be serious. You pull it down with one hand and grab the hatch with the other to close it in one smooth motion.... 14:00 Yes, GM used a shitload of plastic, so did Ford and Chrysler. (Hell, Ford still does it today) 15:30 That's a feature for owners who back into their driveway or garage. YOU CAN DISABLE IT, I have in my truck. 16:50 Probably because it was a brick that weighed nearly 3 tons curb weight! I usually like your reviews, but this one was cheap and laughable. You took a very normal SUV and tried to nitpick it without doing more than 5 minutes of research on the matter. Take your L
