    @@HybridGym it’s the backyard haha. My phone is sitting on the oil tank, that’s the shed on the left of the screen behind me and if your eye is keen enough, you can see the upright for the netting, which goes around my kid’s trampoline, up in the right hand corner👍. And I’ll stick to the basements haha. Well, maybe I could get one out there, if it’s not to cold. Maybe some 10 count navy seals👌. It would be impossible in the winter though. @@DavidWhitten you’re welcome. Training is consistent. No major breakthroughs. Pull-ups are now clean from hanging position and can do 1 - 2 at a time without bands. So often do a good clean rep between each set of 10 burpees. Didn’t get kettlebells (yet) and instead invested in dip bars. I know from past experience that I could easily go down that rabbit hole and spend all my fitness time focusing on getting my kettlebell form correct and learning all the moves! So decided to resist for now 😂

    @@DavidWhitten I didn’t feel like a fast paced hard work out on one of my sessions last week and so tried slow and controlled time under tension 6-counts. Briefly holding the down part of the press-up and then holding the plank after pushing up - arms slowly lowering down, holding, and up and holding - was an interesting change. Haven’t seen them done that way before but arms and chest certainly felt pumped. I’ve since tried 2 pumps and 3 pumps and seals this way too. I will add it to the mix.

    You’d probably enjoy it a lot more😂. As you know, the counting definitely increases the difficulty. I always enjoy 1 pumps, but the same can never be said for the 6 counts. @@DavidWhitten ha ha, sounds like we are on the same wave length here. My experience was I could hit 120 x navy seals with a simple consistent approach of 1 rep every 10 seconds. I find 6 counts are best attacked with interval sprints. Maybe 100 to start, rest and then sets of 50 and/or 25 at the end. My best so far is 253, but I can’t say it’s something I like to try a lot 🤣🤣 Anyway, salute for taking this on brother 🫡

  • @DavidWhitten

    @@brunocalver2968 yeah I too think the 6 counts require more of a sprinting approach, as opposed to the even and methodical approach. I’m gonna try 2 bigger sprints of day 70-75 reps and then try and hold a 12-13 rep a minute EMOM over the second half of the 20 minutes. We will see how that goes🤷‍♂️.

  • @DavidWhitten

    @DavidWhitten

    8 ай бұрын

    Yeah man, I’ve tested in, as Max likes to say, and the seals will require the most attention. It’s just so much harder to add up extra reps there. 6 counts are cardio where as seals actually require the muscle endurance. If that’s not there, you simply can’t do the reps, no matter if you have the lung capacity or not. And the ending was intentional😬🤷‍♂️. I saw a guy (Nate Black is the channel) do that sort of abrupt ending. Leaves the viewer wanting more🤷‍♂️? Either that or they think your editing skills are sub par😂. Thanks for checking out the video though Gym😬👍. See, I’m gonna love calling you that!!

    @@DavidWhitten😅😅😅😅very cool ending, now I know 😅😅😅 yeah, TBH the only time I was getting regular 120 seals was whe I was doing very little else! The highest when not specializing was around the 110 plus or minus 2 or 3. So I think from my point of view, I would have to just do 20 min seals for a few weeks till I hit it, rest any other pushing, then do the relatively easy 6 counts a day or two later... I've only done 20min 6 counts once and I think I got 288. Hard though
