High praise actually, and it's a testament to burpees and Busy Dad training. It's also ridiculous and as you mentioned, designed to get clicks. Two minutes of listening to Max talk on any video and you immediately get a sense of his commitment to this lifestyle. I'd say the same to you as well Lee, there's no doubt at all to your commitment to health and fitness (as well as Strength and Conditioning)

We forget the general populace isn't used to seeing lean naturals with huge chest muscles and solid abs. For those of us who train high rep burpees, it's a look we see all the time.

lol🤣Somebody recently accused me of steroids. I took it as a compliment. I am lifetime natty. People just can't believe that consistency and dedication to training can yield results naturally. They want to make excuses for their own shortcomings. I Love the burpee community because only burpee practitioners know what it takes.

I don't think some people really know what steroid use looks like... there's absolutely no indication in Max's physique of steroid use. Max has an excellent calisthenics physique. Show up, get them in, get results. Thanks for calling out the scrotums Lee 💪

There is nothing about Max’s physique that signals steroid use. His physique is totally accomplishable through hard work and diet. Most people could do it in 3-6months.

Love the video, Lee, you're as charismatic as Max and just as fake in appearance 😜I agree with Eric, wear it as a badge of honour, who would have known that when we all started as younglings on the burpee journey in 2020, that fake natty claims would get thrown around in a few years' time HAHA! Proof that Burpees are the ultimate exercise. Love it. Oh, btw, the MacroFactor app is amazing, cheers mate, been using it since April I think.

I think it's pretty sad to see, people think his phisique is unattainable naturally.Especially because if someone reached a point in calisthenics, where it's not as time efficient to progress further, then there is the weighted calisthenics or weight training. When I did calisthenics I was pretty muscular and lean,I blew up in size from weight training, but calisthenics was always there for me as a conditioning tool. These guys would be shocked how my father looks like at the age of 56 and he only does calisthenics and trx.

I suspect that Max created some great muscle tissue during his powerlifting days which has some great carry over when you start doing something as intensive as burpee. Ultimately Max has a great physique and it is entirely achievable with his level of consistency for years, a good diet and a solid mental state. Long may he continue to achieve great things 💪

Utter BS - I’m 53 and somehow have body comp and skin tone of a 40 year old. I’ve trained more intensely for decades than most and drink at least 3 litres of water each day (convinced this accounts for skin health ) I’ve suffered consistently high stress and diagnosed/ recovered clinical depression. Base diet not bad but snack a lot. HIIT training is a font of youth and can mask a multitude of sins. Maybe Max should chill on the stylised thumb nails and avoid this nonsense attention. I’m sure most of us in the burpee community aren’t chasing aesthetics primarily

Some of the Burpees practioners have come from a Bodybuilding or Powerlifting background, and often they have turned to Burpees. While Burpees are a fantastic conditioning tool and great for keeping you in great nick, they have never promised to be something that will make you huge.

Honestly, I see absolutely no reason to assume he's not natural... I mean, he's fit but it's not like he looks like fucking liver king. That being said, I don't think you get from nothing to that physique as a middle aged guy by doing nothing but burpees. As far as I know, he did powerlifting in the past and he has certainly carried over some (naturally, gym-built) muscle mass from that period.

Good on BusyDad for the complimentary accusation. To work so hard it’s assumed it’s not naturally possible. Utterly preposterous is a great adjective for the odds of someone in this lifestyle for the right reasons relying on peds, doesn’t make sense. But it’s good the accusation was made cause it led to some good content all around
