Breaks my heart as well, knowing how many hours went into creating it… but the next one is going to be so much better! Looking forward to following the journey!!

Thanks Don. In the end, i needed to get rid of this to get over this hurdle in my mind. Now its moving on bigger and better (I Hope!) Let the Journey begin!
It's always such an emotional moment taking apart something you've worked so hard on, but I'm excited to see how you do it next!
I've followed your journey this past few years, and it pains me to see the end of this. I've just bought the plans to build my own. however I am excited to see the next version, knowing its going to be top quality!

Hello Rob, been making parts all week, and I am super happy with them. The plan is coming together!
Well, at the end, you can reuse the... wood ! It seems ok and quite exotic
ha demolision the old 737 mip , But great news soon the new mip . One thing i make one .

Hi Dennis, The new design is well under way! I have the new annunicators sat infront of me right now. It should be epic, I know you have waited a while for this next build. It's coming!
Another great video. I hope you really go into great detail on how you go about creating the next one. I'm to the point of seriously considering a nice home cockpit, but I've got no idea where to start. Looking forward to the next videos. Thanks for sharing.

Hello, and yes. Im trying to make it as simple as possible to follow along and create the new sim.
Thank you for all that you do for the flight sim community. I am inspired to make the leap and build a single cockpit sim (due to space constraints) and eagerly waiting to see how this progresses. So next purchases are going to be 3d printer(s) and maybe a small desktop cnc
@helimech8152

A 3d printer is going to be a huge benefit when sim building, A CNC is also a good start, but you might be better off with a K40 laser machine instead.

Well thanks and great to see you back on the 737 Karl that was another great but in a way ….sad video but looking forward to the next chapters to follow on I know will be great as I will also soon be rebuilding my 737 when I get to my new home !
Love the video, Thank you for making it now I can play it backwards to see how to put it all together ❤️

Haha, that made me chuckle. I did have big plans for the cockpit, but now its time to put that in the past and start over!
You made even a disassembly look interesting.😉 I know, when you've almost finished a build you see how you could have made things much better in the process!
Can't wait to see the new MIP panel with everything you've learned since doing this one. It will be easier with better materials handy in the UK. keep up the great work Karl!!

Thank you, I think the parts I have created already in the background are a massive step up. It will soon be time to put them all together.
Very sad to take that apart as a full sim is what we all would like. That said really looking forward to new single seat as this will be more suited to me even though I have your full sim plans just in case one day I have the space and time to build. Great job as always Karl keep up the good work.

Hi Steve, and thanks. Looking forward to this new build now! Smaller and hopefully interchangeable with my current sim.
Super stoked for the new version. Im looking to move abroad and i will have the room to hopefully do a home build - its a dream eh. Really looking forward to seeing if you can reduce the amount of wires at the back - good luck with that lol... Will be watching for sure.

Hi Adam, Great to hear you might give it a go! as for reducing the wire count, that's not likely as the first item I created requires a lot more wiring already!
Always impressed with these diy sims. Since you are working with PCB I wonder if something like canbus and reduce wiring looms makes sense. Not sure about the programming.
You have so many projects in the loop. Will you continue the Cessna 172 panel project as well? That one looked great for casual to semi dedicated simers 😊
I look forward to seeing your new single seater build. Try not to make the MIP too different as I have just finished mine and suspect, when I see your new one, ill want to re-build mine!!
A fantastic video once again👏

What gauge wire do you normally use?
i absolutely love these vids, and ive bought myself a 737MIP simpanels.. thing is i got no idea how to wire it into an arduino.. i dont know anything about it, so if you were to make something new, id really apreciate it if you went into detail about wireing (ground, + and - etc)

Hello, There are many videos of how i wired this up in the past, but I will show all this on the new build as many more people are starting out and hopefully, my videos are getting a little better.
Hi....I try to folowup the autopilot episode but I can't folow the part with mobiflight. Can you make a tutorial were you show how to add buttons, buttons with led, 7 sig panel etc? I think a lot of people would like to know how. Thx
Are you going to sell any of the used parts?
sad day right here... But like a phoenix, she will rise from the ashes!!

Hello! Thats the plan!
Hey I’m new to this channel, and just getting into Arduinos . I’m curious how many Arduino boards were used for that project? Did you use the clones? I found you about a week and a half ago. Very inspiring. Can’t wait to see what you do next.
@helimech8152
Жыл бұрын
Hello Scott, I used between 23-28 Arduinos in the full unit. No multiplexers or shift resgisgerts. That may change now that mobiflight has incorporated them. This was when an Arduino mega cost around $5, not the current $20. And yes I use clones all the way! So much cheaper!
Can you please tell us where you get your heatshrink with the letters??

I never stop being amazed at how much work you have put into this. Thanks for letting us be part of your journey. I´m planning to build a desktop version of an A320 as I don´t have space for anything larger. Take a look at this video if you´re interested kzread.info/dash/bejne/gnWhyqVtZKeWlM4.html . A fantastic job but he has, as of now, no build plans available so I´m trying to make them. If this is a success maybe I will make a desktop version of a 737 as well.

It was a huge amount of work, but i intend to split each part down into managable sections now. The first thing i have learned, is that the whole model must be created in CAD first. This will stop getting to a certain part and realising it wont work. Ill check out the build now, thank you for the link and good luck!
