737 Clock/Chrono build Video
In this video, I will take you through the step-by-step process of creating a Boeing 737 replica Clock/Chrono. Starting with the PCB component build, we will move on to fully completing this unique device. Watch as I meticulously assemble each piece, ensuring everything is perfectly aligned and functioning correctly.
The culmination of this video will feature the programming and entire operation of both the analogue and digital combination. You will see first-hand how this clock/chrono is a beautiful piece of art and a fully functional timepiece.
You will see the countless hours I have put into perfecting this replica Clock/Chrono, and I am excited to share it with you.
So please sit back, relax, and let me take you on a journey through the creation of this stunning Boeing 737 replica Clock/Chrono.

I would like this as a desktop clock ! 😀
This man is a sea of knowledge. The mentality with which he approaches things, curiosity and passion make him a valid man, a capable and intelligent person. This should be everyone's approach to life, we would be a much more advanced species.
Another great project! Epic! I always enjoy your excitement as you bring these things to life!!
I have no need for this and I want to build everything on this channel. Absolutely amazing work. I love it. I wanna see a full 6 pack!

Phenomenal resource and an endless source of inspiration. Thanks Karl!
Just fantastic!!! I always enjoy watching your videos, they help me build the 737SS. Thank you! If, many years ago, I had such a father...
I started building my 737 sim by following your guides, just want to thank you for all your work and detailed instructions!

Thank you, Will! It's fantastic to hear that you find the instructions helpful! I put a lot of effort into creating them, so it's rewarding to know that they are being put to good use.
Beautiful build! You can improve contrast on those LED displays by putting a darkish yellow/amber gel over them. It'll vastly tone down the ambient visibility of the "off" segments, while the lit segments will be just as bright. :)

Are you able to elaborate on this? I find this to be the difference between what you would see in the real deal vs DIY projects. What kind of gel/product are you talking about? Cheers mate.

Sure. A lighting gel (colored thin plastic) can be placed over the 7-segment displays to improve the contrast. If you match the color of the gel with the color of the light, then it will darken the frame of the digit segments without making the light any less dim.
This was a great project and your detailed explanations were spot on perfect. Awesome job!

Thank you! Looking back, this was how i always wanted to create the chriono, but this wanst really posible until i learnt how to create PCB's and owned a laser.
Thank You Karl! Another great addition to the sim. I have finished the MCP & EFIS and now working on the FMC with MTU to follow. I'll be ordering parts for the clock shortly. Again, thanks for the terrific projects and all the additional support work on youtube and in the build guides.
Thanks a bundle for a great video. And programming is NOT boring when you do it :D
Great build.....! yet another display of wisdom on how to "do your sim"! I love your work, it does look amazing. Keep them coming!
Looks brilliant!
Thanks for sharing Karl really Great work as usual
3 Things: On your website clicking any of the optional items in the parts guide points to an invalid address: 737%20chrono%2C%20737%20clock A piece of yellow tinted film would improve readability of the led displays inmensely. The seconds hand lags behind the digits changing, it looks off. Maybe you can change the settings so it "lands" at the tick instead of start moving at the tick. Great build.

Good morning! I noticed that the second hand lagged exactly one second until the end of the video. The clock started from -1 instead of 0. I corrected this by using the compare tab in Mobiflight and changing the value from -1 to 0. Thank you for bringing this to my attention. Also, I have just received a roll of window tint suggested by a Patreon member. They pointed out that this makes the 7 segments much more readable, which I have a go at soon. Kind Regards, Karl
Great job ! Always a pleasure to watch :)
Well done mate, that is the business.
Thanks for sharing another great video and project. Watching you program isn't boring to me I always learn something from your videos!

Thank you, Gary. The programming has stimulated those old brain cells and got me thinking again. It has been a long time since I last used FSUIPC.
Amazing Job!!!
Absolutely loved it! What a beauty.

Lovely clock, but it’s no TEDAC,,, still awaiting for that one 👍
Love watching your videos. can i ask where you get your sizes from? as in have you been in a real cockpit and measured actual sizes? or is there a recourses site that can give you real world sizes for items.
Very well done. How do you get the grey color on the visible parts of your 3D printed parts. Spray them with Boeing gray colour ?
Very good product. Do you have video for the Flaps in your website ❤how to set it up with prosim737 however I will not go farther than the flaps drowning i bought from you. Thank you very much.
I love your builds, would all these new components your making work on the full 737 simulator?
Time 32:28 just realised prosim says 21:09 and your chrono is 21:90. 21:10 is ok
Loved it! You do the decal plates with white acrylic? Or do you have a new trick to allow backlit panels?
@helimech8152

Hello, no they are white acrylic, painted then laser etched.
Hello, guys! Could you please provide me a link to purchase those thin white cables that Heli always uses in his videos? The video/product was absolutely brilliant, as it always is!
I dont want to build a real cockpit but I would build this one with an actual clock drive in it to place as real clock on my multisim
do you plan to release a G1000 V2 video ? I noticed it does nor require arduino, so i dont know if i should buy the V2.
