​​@@croissantily5008there are some comments above this one that say the contract wasn't only for her but for the two of them and the one that pull it out was their coach because they weren't getting along, after that theres different stories, one that says he rejected it because he didn't want to be manipulated and another one that says that the contract wasn't done with permision so the couch used him as a scape goat and the girl helped with it since she was the one that posted it. But honestly both versions sound more real than him just waking up one day and deciding all of what this video is saying.

@@croissantily5008 yeah, the amount of people saying that he did it because he liked her but she didn't like him back is insane, the vast majority of people keep making up heartbreak stories because they fully believe that they were in love to the point that even their explanations as to why he did it have to go down that direction. I just learned that the coach is the girl's mother and that the boy's mother posted something about how the coach treated them differently, which honestly just makes this whole thing more suspicious. Some people were saying that she was wrong for saying that and tried to prove how the coach liked them both based on videos but this whole mess literally showed them that we can't trust what we see on the internet and that not everything is love and flowers, but seems like they didn't learn anything 🤦🏽‍♀️ in all honesty, I believe his mother because she seemed very hurt, not even angry just disappointed.

The terms were that if either of the break the conditions of the contract THEN they would have to pay, she just only showed one page to spin the narrative. I think it’s very indicative that one person has been blacklisted from skating and the other hasn’t… they didn’t like that he didn’t blindly follow orders.

Wow i found their tiktoks recently and was in awe how talented they are and how beautiful their bond is..wow nothing on internet can be real and pure..

Okay but as a contrast my heart is not broken, hearing this actually makes my heart happy because a person chose theirselves when their partner was trying to force them to do something they didn’t want to do. It’s a happy ending for me, she did well.

There was so much hate aimed at him for that contract. People, stop and use your brains. He was done. He was out. She wanted to try to force him to stay her partner, on her terms, at her locations, and wasn't willing to just move on. He called her bluff and intentionally gave her a contract with outrageous demands to make his point. If he wasn't allowed to have his own personal life separate from her, and if she was demanding that he was at her beck and call, continue to be her professional partner against his will, and essentially have full control over his life for 24/7 without any FWB even, then she was going to have to pay for everything. He had accepted her intitial rejection, and he had clearly moved on from her, found someone else, and she couldn't handle no longer being his entire existence. She played emotional games with him, then strung him along and made it clear that, even after her pretending, she didn't want to date him after all. She was yanking him around. She had completely broken his trust, yet expected to keep performing with her with the fake love embraces? Delusional. I think that he was a genius, using a contract with outrageous demands to either put up or shut up. If she insisted that everything was her way, treating him like an interchangeable drone, then she should absolutely have to pay to get that arrangement. He forced her hand and made her let him go. He wasn't being unreasonable as claimed by the haters. He was fed up, had a great sense of self-worth, and pushed back on her demands. We can be fairly sure that it was like this since it was her and her people with the messaging and the slander. So much information was released about the contract but nothing about why he gave her those demands. I see him as a wolf caught in a hunter's snare, willing to chew his own paw off to get free. I wish him well.

I remember a news fluff/report back in 1998 about how this one Russian Ice Dancer had an American partner, and her family paid for all the bills and the costs of training, but then the "bag with which one douches" wanted like first class tickets, to have better coaches, start receiving weekly stipends for him to just skate with the American girl, her family packed his stuff up and shipped him back to Russia once his demands became unbearable. And I have heard similar stories about Male Ice Dancers and Male Pairs skaters being divas and demanding things from their American host families. And not all skating families are rich either. So I am not the least bit surprised this is still going on like 25 years later...

The reason he did that is because he had fallen in love with her, so they dated for a while but she didn’t have the same depth of feelings for him. So this was the way he came up with to not have to skate with her anymore

That’s the thing it wasn’t random there was more drama from them. He didn’t want to be partners with her anymore and obviously her not wanting him to leave she tries to convince him to stay and this happens for a couple months. They fight about it ever so often and then that’s when he pulls out the contract. I don’t know much but there are definitely so many other factors to the story.

Not mourning anymore because he wanted out since long. They dated, he came out pretty hurt from their relationship and since when it went downhill to the point they just fought. They tried to keep it together but then he used the contract as a way to leave. And it's okay. He clearly wasn't alright with her anymore and on a long term this would have cause more damage to both of them. He took the right decision. It wasn't impulsive, he started to say he wants to go since summer. Unfortunately, it's one of the cases where dating and love stories can ruin a partnership. I wish them both the best and I look forward to see them skate again as they both are extremely talented. And stop hating on Valeryi. He deserves so much better than what he got so far.

Ok guys this wasn’t completely out nowhere there is more to the drama. Basically he didn’t really want to partners with her anymore. They have had more then one fight about this because he kept asking to part ways, and Vasilisa obviously didn’t want them to stop skating together, I mean they’ve been partners for so long.But after a couple fights and disagreements about that and more petty stuff that’s when he tries to compromise with the contract and ridiculous demands.

They end up staying partners until it boiled up to this point. this has nothing to do with love, they had gotten together before and she broke it off because they were better as friends and and he has a girlfriend. The problem is that he came up with these accusations and demands in order for them to continue skating. He wanted her to pay for competition, practice, gear, extra practice time, etc… and she obviously would never sign a contract like that with someone she thought who was her friend, wanted to take advantage of her wanting to hold on to the partnership to get what he wants so they ended. This has nothing to do with her being clingy or her falling in love with him idk much of what happened as I’m still also learning but from the information I’ve gathered so far this is what has happened so stop making assumptions. People are defending her because it’s him who is being immature and unreasonable.

I think as he slowly grew older the more he wanted to go on his own life but he couldn't because his parter Vasilya didnt want to stop being partners so the only way to get out of it was to give a contract so ridiculous. That the only 2 ways it can go, they give him what the contract says or they let him be.

If he just ended it, then sad, but ok. V said Vasilisa was lazy and mean to him. V's mother verbally bashed Vasilisa and all this was done without Vasilisa saying a word yet. V's mother put down their amazing coach 😮 then, Vasilisa posted that awful contract and v's mother really got mad 😂

This guy needs to pull walls down and not demand these things of her. Both need to settle this like mature adults!

When things sound so bizarre, then there must be more to the story. We must ask: what did Valerya or her management do BEFORE that guy came up with this contract? As we all know, people lie and manipulate the public via social media and showing only a part of the facts is a form of lying. Perhaps he fell out of love with her and/or out of love with skating and everybody wanted him to continue and to pretend to be still in love? Don’t judge before you know both sides of the story.

Maybe out of love he gave his shares more to her and from the prize money too and from travelling and all he payed all of it. So after breaking up he felt used so he doesnot want to take advantage of anymore so before starting he first want to make things equal from the past . Support Palestine, save babies, and use your platforms for humanity. Simply, if you don't want Israel to do it to you, u will not accept it for Palestine.

He couldn't handle her not loving him the way he fell in love with her 😢 He did that awful contract and he and his mother talked badly about the very young girl. It makes me so mad. He is a grown man with a girlfriend and him and mom are trying to hurt this girl not even 18 years old yet!! He needs therapy and his mom needs to back off. His mother needs to let her adult son deal with his own mistakes. She will be fine. She was amazing with her partner before him. I doubt he will find a partner that will trust him after this. Plus, who would want to put up with his mom. It's so sad. They were great together and chemistry so intense. I watch these videos and it looks like he was a nice guy and he was so gentle with her. I guess not 😢

Right? I could imagine a contract saying something along the lines of “because I’m going broke traveling to you, we’re gonna trade off who travels” but beyond that… 🤷‍♀️ It’s like he doesn’t realize that a stable, committed sport partner is important when your sport depends on being a pair to compete. But who knows? I’m sure she’s done some bad, too. In any case, this is messy and unfortunate. Now I’m gonna look up their stats. Perhaps they’re on the decline and this would be a good time to get new partners.

I just feel bad for Vasilisa 😢 I think that V is being pressured and influenced by his mother and that new girlfriend of his called Polina. I think she is controlling and probably a narcissist 😢 I just hope v dumps that girl, gets a new manager, definitely tell his mother to back off and get therapy 😢😢

​@@candylide Probably because he was pressured by her team, their fans, and so many people around him? He can't deal with their demands anymore so he uses the extreme way. My cousin purposely looking for a job abroad (labor job, low pay) to get away from her husband who can't stop doing his bad habit of gambling and alcohol. She tried to go to different city, some "thugs" always find her. She can't take it anymore so she decided to go abroad working on a farm. Both of em make money. Pretty successful and famous as well. I honestly don't see why he has to demand that, fully knowing that he has money and that'll damage his reputation.

Not exactly what ur talking about, but I've been sitting next to him during the event (open show? Sorry, no idea how that's in English but when they just show their new programms) and boy did he look like he ate a lemon when other pairs were skating

She did good for leaving him I am very proud of her now we know she is not insecure she's probably heart broken but you can not use her to your advantage 😅😅😅😅😅

Vasilisa and Valeriy dated secretly for about 2 months Vasilisa confessed her feelings to him while he was in a relationship causing him to break up with his current gf to be with her then 2 months later she broke up with him claiming “she didn’t have any feelings anymore” which made valeriy very depressed and he couldn’t really focus on skating it’s obviously hard to skate with your ex especially if you’re still in love with them but he was also in the wrong

Good they broke up because when one partner is not happy accident can happen on ice for feeling uncomfortable, they took good decision

He was in love with her, but she denied him. He fell in love with another girl and moved in together with the new girl and didn't have time to skate, so he said she would have to pay for him to skate

That’s absolutely ludicrous to expect her to pay for everything.

Missing context. She literally states that the reason was something personal and that she knows what it is, but wouldn't be discussing it in public. It seems like he only brought this ridiculous contract to force her to break it off permanently. You can read her entire post.

There is no one on Earth who would wake up and choose to act like shit, he was just trying to create a problem so he don't take the blame of their breakup but that's such a shitty behaviour

according to valeriy in the one interview transcription i read, it was a bilateral contract, so it would only be used if one of them violated certain terms. take it or leave it, but don't believe everything people say. there's always 2 sides of the story, and then the facts. as far as i know, we viewers can't really be sure what's what.

After following a couple internet couples who have broken up over (not normal) issues, I've just learned to never get my hopes up. People always have problems behind the screen. Life and especially love is *NOT* a fairytale.

If it didn't last, it wasn't love .
