Deep was bad from the start and we knew that, he didn't become bad, he already was. In the first episode, he sexually assaults a woman and blackmails her. That set the inevitable foundation for his villainy and deserved downfall. It's said that he's done things like this many times You can't redeem a sex pest.

My whole point was that he became evil, he didn't start that way, before we saw him he was likely the victim but he chose to continue the cycle. Hell he legit is force to SA A-Train for this reason. He's been forced to do things, so he replicates that on others.

The deep ended up exactly where he left vought. Devoted servant to homelander with no personal motivation just carrying out homelanders deeds

This episode was fire. I was SO HYPED when A Train showed up and speed blitzed The Deep.

Honestly, i do kinda care about The Deep's story but I hit my peak of caring once he killed Ambrosia; the voice acting and genuine fear of dying in their scene really hit me; then she topped it off with an "I love you" and that just hurt so damn much man.. I also think that Ryan showing that he still is a good kid was a great and well acted scene. Giving Billy a reason not to take drastic measures while also showing that despite his dad's influence, Ryan is still his own person. Raised better than his father but still super-Human. Hes not a supe. He's super human. Ryan got hit with a can and just brushed it off because it didnt hurt him in any way.Maybe he was a little emotionally hurt, but Homelander was so upset that he killed a man. Homelander gas issues that Ryan doesn't have due to him being raised right.

I reckon Sage has a secret plan that involves the shapeshifter and possibly queen maeve

I believe Hughies mum was Hughies mum as they knew family stories in the hospital scene. However, if she was the shape shifter she could also be vic in that scene as why else would vic know about Hughies dad dying? That shapeshifter is trying to get the dirt on vic for sage

The camera focused on a picture of soldier boy in Kimiko’s magazine, and later in the episode focused on a picture of Queen Maeve in Sage’s notebook when she slammed it on the table after getting fired. I think both these characters coming back is gonna be the big twists in the finale, especially soldier boy cause Butcher said he spoke to Mallory to get Frenchie out, meaning that he’s still in contact with her.He’ll either ask Mallory to free soldier boy to help kill homelander, or Kessler will take over butcher and break soldier boy out using his powers

Frenchie saving Kimiko from the viruse was pretty intense for me. I honestly thought she was a goner.

This shapeshifter is 99.99% like the same to the first Shapeshifter case Dean and Sam Winchester handle in Supernatural Season-1. The minor differences are that the shifter's eye shine in digital camera and they are hurt/killed by silver bullets/knives.

Neuman still has Stan Edgar in her pocket, and it seems like all the files the boys got on her are going to vanish. I believe her real game is gonna play in the last season. But you still might be right tho, since the boys has her husband captive. there's definitely going to be a big fight next episode, but I think It's either A-train or Frenchie who's gonna die.

I hope A-Train will finish this series on a high note and becomes a true superhero!

Sage likely expected even being fired, and brought the notebook to intentionally set the stage for her plan. We've never seen her leave anything behind. So it makes sense that she is finally going to make a move after she saw Firecracker and Homelander went back on his word. I'm more curious if she's already been working on creating a vaccine for herself for the super virus. She did so with cancer, I can bet she's likely already figured out how to perfect temp v, compound v, and knows who is the most viable for it and the rates for which the virus can kill the supes.

Bro I get what you're saying about redundant and unimportant plotlines. But every show does this, if the show only focused on one singular plotline it will be extremely boring and even more uninteresting than what you're conplaining about. What makes the show good is it's characters and storytelling, and in order to make you care for and flesh out those characters other plotlines have to happen, otherwise as I said the show will be boring. Not everything needs to be centered around the main storyline and I'm sure what they're doing is going to pay off in some way in the season finale or next season. I'm tired of all this constant complaining for side stories and arcs in the show, it's there for a reason.

It would be ironic that instead of A Train, MM dies as he tried to save A Train from Homelander. That would fully convinced him to join the boys and fight homelander in next season.

What an episode 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥. I was a bit worried that this season just sets up the final season but all I'm hyped for the finale episode 🤌🔥

Thank you for putting this together. I have felt that Homelander and Butcher+KysleVenom were going to have a showdown. Adding Ryan to that had not occurred to me, but I would like to see that angle.

I like how it goes full circle. The Boys using fame against supes to get their way. Now this shapeshifter is using fame to get its way with Starlight. First it distracted The Boys in the closet. Next it used it against them in the bar.

Best episode so far this season.

Kimiko is gonna speak next season in a way of letting go of her past.

Vewing it as something that will happen instead of a theory limits us from coming up with other theories. I mean, the man can outrun homelander. If he gets good at hiding, he could live a peaceful life with his family.

@@user-mm9hg1bw8z yeah Maeve managed to get out but she was only one of the many supes who crossed Homelander and got away so far, but I doubt that would be the case if Homelander knew she was alive she is essentially hiding. Many are skeptical that A-Train will live due to the given nature of the show and though it split from the comic in many ways it still takes pieces from the source. Remember A-Train isn't as fast as he used to thus him being a compound V junkie for a while and almost dying from over using his powers afterward. Homelander has more powers than the others and A-Train knew he was screwed once Homelander found out so he fled. Given how he had changed I definitely think he won't stay hidden for long when innocent people or The Boys are in need of help against the 7 and probably will die.

If he decided to stay in hiding, he'd be safe enough to keep living imo. I hope that he doesn't die. Everyone is expecting his death so it would be more impactful if someone else died

I mean we are also predicting Butchers death looks like he is doomed even with the compound V in his system and juicing up his tumor. So most likely Butcher will die before A-Train if he stays hidden long enough and Homelander or The deep don't find him. I hope A-Train doesn't die either I just know that A-Train has more probability of dying because it's The Boys universe.

the deep shows the journey of someone being radicalized really well IMO

I think at this point Atrain and the Deep exists to illustrate the polar opposite reactions that usually result from deteriorated, chaotic socio-political situations. Atrain looked into the coming abyss and didn't like what it looked like or who it made him as a man, so he worked to redeem himself. The Deep, however, embraced the darkness of the abyss, becoming potentially totally corrupted. And that could get really interesting in the next season because if you think about it, if Homelander wanted a plan B, a backup plan that would allow him to "win" even if he were actually defeated, the Deep would be the only one he'd need. The earth is 90% ocean/water and if the Deep suddenly turned every sea creature against every cargo ship, mooring, navy, pier, etc., etc. In theory, the Deep could set the world back about 1,000 years with a thought.

After watching the trailer for this episode, I was expecting Butcher's dark super powers to come out to take out both Black Noir and the Deep. Looking back, it would have been too predictable and too soon to kill off two regular characters with a 5th and final season planned.

You forgot the foreshadowing that was done in the intro sequence with the A-train puppet laying 'dead' on the chair.

Starlight switch didn't make sense. As them finding the shapeshifter happened after Annie and Hughie talked about the costume, and other stuff. Also Deep and Noir fight sucked, only good thing was A-Train.

I think when Butcher collapsed that was when the tumor took over. He's going to be more malevolent moving forward, i think.

Season one in season two Butcher would do anything to kill a Supe .They spent a whole season, trying to kill translucent. Then they just let the deep walk out?! And how far could the scientists have gone with just one leg? They could have easily tracked him down.

A train is the best story arc they've had from the very beginning. Remember how a train went out in the comics? I don't think that ark is going to happen. I think a train will be alive through the end of the final season. Call it instinct. If they do kill him it better be the most glorious sacrificial play of all time.

I waited all season to see that noir vs butcher fight and ofc it had to be disappointing it really shows that the boys is now mainly just about politics and weird sexual scenes

I don’t think that scene was about the fight. Both Annie and butcher picked up on noir being… not the normal noir. Butcher and Annie say “he can talk?” And “he can fly” - pointing out that they know it’s not the original noir. It wasn’t so much about the fight as it was what was revealed

Would've made much more sense to send Kate and Sam to take out the Boys. If Homelander didn't do it himself only because of possible bad publicity, why send members of the Seven who are just as known, instead of two powerful supes whom the public barley knows?

The first season was edgy and the writing was on point to tell an interesting story. The Boys always had a left wing slant and that was okay but as the seasons have continued slowly but surely it changed into a Democratic political ad . This season especially every left talking point every anti Christian anti conservative slur has increased X 10. For me and 1/2 the audience it’s just become unwatchable .

I think sage was talking about Soldierboy. Because he can defeat queen maeve. And when talking about time sage can't defeat time so is probably soldier boy.

No, Sage was talking about Ryan. In due time Ryan will or probably is, already stronger than Homelander. When Ryan fried Stormfront he wasnt even an adolescent. Now he's older and becoming his own person with Billy in his ear installing what his father did to him.... Butcher doesn't like Bullies and he doesn't want Ryan to be a c**t. Homelander are both of those things and the older he gets the more it's gonna be harder for Homelander to convince him what he's doing is worth it.... while he's talking to Ryan would be anyone's chance...... Hence why Solider Boy almost won if not for Queen Maeve. Homelander has to win Ryan with words and as far as he lived NO ONE has ever truly spoken to Homelander (as a person) besides Stan. He's always been some force or icon but Stan was the only one to tell him he ain't shit wholeheartedly and walk away. If you remember, both Homelander and Butcher wanted to kill Ryan at one point.... Ryan has to choose the lesser of two evils.
