@@steps3344 the open casket funeral for translucent was better. They only had pieces of his body. So, they just said he was invisible and put an empty coffin on display for people to walk past. A statue is up at all times. Someone is going to try to touch it. The statue is a worse version of the same joke from the first season. Plenty of great jokes in the show. 👍

The ATrain story seems off. He was slipping into a life of crime until a white coach came along and gave him coaching advice like “run faster.”

I think another point to make is that Soldier Boy probably mutilated Noir to ruin any chance of being shown on television without his mask, and therefore Noir couldn't ever be marketted as the first black man in The Seven because Vought doing so would've meant showing off the scars Soldier Boy gave him to the public. It's easily the cruelest thing Soldier Boy ever did.

@@BigLettuce07 We can never be sure, murders like what happened with Marvin Milk seem more like Soldier Boy being a dumbass, it's difficult to know how many murders he committed that were in the first degree. Considering his time on black operations, I'd say it's likely he's done worse, but I'm only forming an opinion based on what we've seen or heard him committing on screen.

I doubt there are others tbh. There really aren't all that many supes around, I think in Season 1 when they were holding the Shareholder meeting that announced Starlight they mentioned there were 300 supes under the Vought umbrella. Granted there are probably many more that aren't, but even if that number is just 5% then there are less than 6,000 supes in the world

Very informative video, but I did notice a couple of minor mistakes. Maeve broke every bone in her arm stopping the bus, not every bone in her body. Homelander doesn't have slowed aging, as a plot in the current season is that he's showing signs of entering middle age at 43 years old (born in 1981, as the video mentioned) which seems pretty normal.

as someone who is aware with the series' popularity an characters but not much of the characters' backstory, this is very helpful! looking forward for part 2!

black noir's story was so sad he deserved sm better

Homelander doesn’t age slower he ages just like a normal human because we see in s4 he starts to notice his pubic hair turn white and he starts to collect and put some in a jar, my theory is the reason why he ages normally like a human is because he wasn’t given the same compound v as stormfront and soldier boy, which resulted in them having superpowers as well as aging much slower than anyone we’ve seen on the show plus if they really wanted to show that homelander ages slowly they could’ve hired a younger actor to portray homelander to really give an emphasis on him physically looking young but chronically he’s older

considering everything in The Boys is a political/religious allegory... I might not be correct, but I think it's a jab at Protestants and the idea of predestination. The idea is that Protestants (Calvinists specifically) believe that they don't know whether they go to heaven or hell, so they seek signs in their life on Earth - success, especially economic success, is seen as a sign. but they are not chosen by God to be successful, to be wealthy - those successful Calvinists are *made*, created, and then claim that others are simply deemed unworthy from birth, that they weren't chosen, if they do not end up successful. Read up on *The Protestant Ethic and the Spirit of Capitalism*, Max Weber argues that these Calvinists spawned Capitalism - they created the conditions by which people's success are now measured - I don't know, maybe I should study an arts degree to communicate this better but I see a connection there

What I dont understand about Annie is if she can control electricity, why couldn't she control people's electric signals in their brains or heart? Her power is relatively weak in The Boys universe but, theoretically, she could be a lot stronger. I hope they explore it more in the final season because it does seem shes getting stronger with her powers.

I’m sure there are more. * pop claw * mesmer * web weaver * tech knight’s first side kick … which was apparently a series of different people. * super Sonic * Ryan (homelander’s kid is recognized as a supe now … don’t recall his supe name) * gun powder * crimson countess * The other payback members * lamp lighter * the other speedster that replaced A-train briefly * the terrible racist supe that crippled A-Train’s brother and ended up “donating” his heart. * the daredevil supe that almost joined the 7 * love sausage or whatever the name of the guy was with the massive member * Ezekiel * the ant-man analog * the multiple-man sycophant who worshiped fire cracker There’s a bunch more. Every one featured from the (terrible) spinoff is still a supe. There were a bunch of supes in that supe prison. Two were featured in the finale from the current season (along with two of the kids from the spin-off). Not sure if you need to break things down into smaller groups to get everyone or just do a much longer video.
