For years in Canada the Catholic Church took the native children away from their parents put them in schools run by nuns. This was at the instruction of the government in order to destroy their culture. These children were physically ,mentally and sexually abused by the priests and nuns. Imagine your children taken and given to white people to raise so their traditions and culture would be destroyed. When we hear of Canadians be in nice ,kind people this part of history is not taught in our schools. Look up Canadian residential n school to learn more of the horrors of these children and their parents suffered

Toledo Ohio here! I lived in the "Polish Village" where St. Adalbert's church was. This was a wonderful narration. There is way more to the story. It involves St. Adalbert's church and the sister church St. Hedwig. Blocks apart on the same street. BOTH churches were desecrated. There are claims that the young victim you spoke about was abused in St. Hedwig's church. Did you know that Robinson presided over the mass for Sister Margaret and HEAVY church doors flew open during the mass? Which had never happened before nor since. It goes on and on but I'm old and tired of typing. God Bless & Thank You

What happened to the 3 year old the woman said she saw murdered?

A friend of mine told me that his mother told him numerous times "Never let yourself be alone with a priest". She would tell his neighborhood friends the same thing. She was from Mexico and raised Catholic but she never took her kids to church, she said it was too dangerous.

I hate that evil people hide behind the cross. They do not represent the faith that they use to commit their crimes.

I grew up and still live in the Toledo area and remember this news but entering the army in 1982 I did not ever hear of the outcome of this incident. This was a crazy thing to hear of at the time. And it is even just as crazy to hear about having forgotten about this. What a shame to have happen to such a beautiful person giving her life to serve her community

During one of his appeals, Robinson wanted to try to place suspicion onto serial killer Carl Watts, who was apparently active during the period of Margaret Pahl's murder, but not in Ohio - only in Michigan. The argument was completely ignored as a ridiculous conspiracy theory.

Sexual abuses don’t discriminate, regardless of religion. Not surprised these happened.

Wow, Jiles! This one hit very close to home for me. I attended the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing and had my capping and graduation ceremonies in that very chapel. Sister Ann Gerold was not only our dean but also ran both Mercy and St. Charles hospitals -- both of which I worked at early in my nursing career.

I am SO GLAD that the religion couldn't protect him forever. I'm so glad the other Sister came & talked to the police about her experiences. I'm so grateful to hear this monster got put away.

Definitely a good case to wear the crossbuster shirt for. Not a surprise that the Catholic Church gave him full priestly rites and "lost" his files; monsters protect their own, even in death.

The Church, above all people, should know they're never going to succeed at hiding anything from God. The fact that they even try to makes me sick. "There is nothing that is hidden that will not be revealed; all that is dark will be brought into the light."

This is the most insane story I’ve heard in a LONG time. I was raised catholic so I’m surprised I never heard it before! While shocking I can’t say any of this is surprising. The only thing that somewhat surprised me is the extensive network of abusers both inside and outside of the church willing to participate in this shit.

Great job. Living 15 miles North of Toledo I know some of this story over the years. Monsters are everywhere, but more good people than them.

Dude!!! I listened to that while getting a root canal! My phone just jumped to this story and I couldn't change it! 😫😫😫

A surprise to see my hometown show up on this show. But I shouldn't be too surprised. Monsters are all over.

I was taught by nuns/priests and some of the nuns were the most vicious bad tempered woman I had ever come across. Lots of the priests were ok and just let you get on with your work, don't think they could be bothered really. One, a father Lennon, he used to come and have his dinner with us every Thursday and he never mentioned religion and he loved Yogi Bear and Boo Boo and The Flinstones so we all used to watch that then he went home, he was a lovely man. I never learned anything about the love of God from them at all but I did from my parents............my daddy was Catholic and my mammy was Protestant and religion was never mentioned in our home ever.......but love was..........and that was how I initially learned about the love of God and I still love Him to this day, I have a greater understanding of how beautiful He is and how He truly loves us, whether we love Him back or not.

With priests, deacons, and nuns among my relatives (and being Catholic myself as well), I can promise that situations/cases such as this are *NOT* viewed as acceptable within the Church at large. There is constant push within all ranks of the Church to change policy and increase transparency when one of our own is discovered to be a monster. But just like pushing for the change of any government policy; it’s an uphill battle that takes endless effort and time to accomplish. But we *will* get there, because this *cannot* continue to happen! Please don’t think that all Catholics are okay with turning a blind eye like this.

I didn’t say I haven’t tried. I said it’s not easy to break into. It’s not like I can just go out and instantly get a job. Despite some people here loving my voice, as far as voice acting goes, I’m a nobody. I am building up a portfolio but it takes time.

I'm atheist, but try to imagine living your life in pure devotion to your god and service to mankind, making it to your seventies, and end up being brutally murdered and assaulted by one of your own church members 😡This is why I cannot believe.
