Nimmo leads the club in RBI, which is a little strange, considering Alonso's HRs. They both have similar AVG & OPS. But Nimmo is just RAKING with RISP. In 67 AB with RISP, Nimmo is hitting: .328 AVG & 1.018 OPS. Wow!

11 of 16 of Alonso's home runs have been solo shots. Nimmo actually hits with people on base.

During the off season before we signed JDM I made a 100$ bet that mark Vientos would hit more hr than soler or JDM. I didn’t think I had a chance

I must say, Vientos has been a pleasant surprise... he had a good spring training, but not knock your socks off, and in his brief stint last year was lack luster. I see where Baty beat him out, but clearly Vientos has made the best of this recent opportunity, it is now about remaining at this level and proving himself.... he has the makings for being the next major star in the lineup.

The Astros are the 2nd hottest team in MLB behind the Mets since May 30th. Mets are 16-6 and HOU is 16-8. HOU has won 7 in a row. Mets face them for 3 games this weekend.

Vientos! Man he definitely looks primed for stardom! This offensive surge is as good as I’ve seen the Mets been in my history watching. Super fun to watch and all that I can ask for! Pitching desperately needed!

You know how well the Mets have played the last 30 days. Let's see what the bullpen ERA has done in those 30 days: Ottavino - 8.10 Garrett - 4.09 Diekman - 3.68 Smith - 3.52 Young - 3.52 Reid-Foley - 2.16 Nunez - 1.80 Houser - 1.32 Anybody see the outlier above? DFA Otto and call up Festa(RHP) or Walker(LHP) from AAA.

I knew Mark was gonna be stud. I said it last year and in spring training. The constant callups and sent downs were more detrimental then productive . Baty has talent but he's too soft, too emotionally fragile in regards to confidence. Mark plays like he belongs. Now i will say, Baty has better feet. Mark has cement feet but that wont matter when he's our starting 1st Baseman next year. Pete will be gone. JD wont resign. ( Hope he will but perhaps he wont ). Ronny or LAA will be at 2nd base If Baty doesnt get himself together. If he does ,he'll be at 3rd.

@@jamesbuckley8917Yes i did. Look at my history. I also predicted Lindor would be a Met while he was still in Cleveland. I also predicted they get Baez at the trade deadline. I also predicted Conforto and Thor would not resign. I also predicted Jake will sign with a team in the South. And im telling you today. Pete will not be a Met next season. Soto will be pursued but wont be a Met either. Jeff is also not in future plans. Im not blinded by the names on the back of the jersey. I a Mets fan, not a players fan so i dont cry when guys leave. Ive always liked Mark over Baty. Now i still think Baty can be good, but now that Mark has proven himself, David has some big decisions to make. Between Jett, LAA, Ronny, Baty, Jeff under contract..... thats a lot of infielders and they cant all make the team as starters. So i wont be surprised if Baty or one of the other prospects get traded at some point.

26:37 Ryan, this is why MiLB needs a set of 4A teams. Since they might not have enough players to fill a 4A level up with a team for every MLB team, they could have fewer teams with multiple teams fronting the cost for the same team and inserting their own 4A players and recall or call up those players when needed. It could have interesting results for player development for people like Brett Baty.

I’m a huge Mets Fan but there isn’t anyone in the MLB that’s as great as Aaron Judge and that includes Shohei Ohtani. Judge is also a Gold Glove quality Center Fielder. That being said, the Mets are destroying Earned Run Averages. Ask Suarez and Imanaga.

I think JD Martinez's hitting approaches have either bled into those of the other players or the other hitters are talking to JD and picking his ear.

Stewart hit well when he played regularly, before Martinez was ready to DH. Mets could use a lefty power hitter in the line up. He played bad when he wasn't in the lineup regularlly. . Gamel, in his best ML seasons was the definition of replacement level.. Stewart also not horrible defensively. He should get a shot now

JD started Apr 26. Stewart's AVG prior to Apr 26 was .190. He was terrible. He should be optioned.

Alvarez wanted high and in if I remember correctly (the pitch to judge)

It was a poor location, no doubt. Up six in that situation with the bases loaded, you can’t throw it down the middle to the best and hottest hitter in the game.

You don't trade players when their value is down.

MLB got the result they wanted. I believe they didn’t want to see their golden boy Judge get embarrassed by Diaz in a big spot late in these games, so they got Diaz suspended on some trumped up charge. It worked, now it at least gives Yankees fans something to crow about even if they lose.

I think both Peterson and Megill should both be bullpen pieces.. If not dealt. Neither has ever shown more than 4- 5 inning pitchers..Senga, Scott, and Butto should move into rotation.

In the last 30 days, Peterson has a 3.56 ERA(5.4 innings/start). Megill has a 5.47 ERA(4.93 innings/start). Manaea has a 6.75 ERA(5.0 innings/start). Now you know.
