Salt ½teaspon, cornstarch 1tablebspon,
Cornstarch 1tablebspon, water 1tablebspon, Cooking oil ½tablebspon,
Soy sauce 1½tablebspon, water 50ml, Mirin ½tablebspon,
ginger powder ⅛teaspon, Syrup 1tablebspon, Sugar ¼teaspon

You could grate the potato as well. If you let the water your squeezed out of the potato sit, the potato starch would settle to the bottom. You could use that instead of adding starch to adhere the nori.

I found your channel yesterday and made this dish today. First I thought it would be really fiddly and hard to make but it was really straightforward and enjoyable. Second, reading the ingredients list I didn't think it would be very fishy but I was wrong; it had a beautiful and subtle taste. I have tried so many vegan fish recipes over the years and this one ranks right up at the top. Thankyou very much: now to try some more of your recipes.

I never in my life would of thought to mix potato and tofu. but the texture looks so good on this.

Genius use of potato and tofu, I use all these ingredients several times a week and never thought to make a fish fillet out of them..this is awesome. have to fit on a growing list for next week. thank you for this.

I’m not vegan and I love this recipe! I’ll have to purée the raw potato in my petite food processor. I’ll also probably make salsas, tapenades, and other flavor bombs à la Ottolenghi to go with these. Even a simple tzatziki, yoghurt and tahini sauce, hummus, with sumac, za’atar, etc. The possibilities are endless!

did you use a parchment paper or other prepared surface to keep it from sticking? what temp/time did you bake it at.. (I could imagine prepping large squares like this, then cut w/ large-sharp knife & bake like individual bites) :)

@@davidvalenta9394 I've not made this yet, but I also would bake it (I avoid oil and the fat/calories that go along with it). I was thinking baking it on a silicone mat, which I use a lot, would do very nicely. I do use parchment at time, but I keep in mind that it is paper, which means it comes from trees, and I like to avoid that when possible. I think silicone is a good alternative and recommend it.
I will try this recipe out tomorrow. I like all the ingredients and I'm sure I will enjoy it and cannot wait to have my friends taste it because they all say they hate to tofu even though they have never tried it. I'm sure this will be a great success. I know I will love it

@@fallon8376 I know plenty who watched it &stopped missing consuming an animal that suffered so much hauled up in nets, who ate plastic full of toxins lead/mercury swam in sewage & nuclear waste. Knowledge is good4 us.

I made it yesterday and what can I say : Simply delicious !!!! my husband loved it as well . I was struggeling a bit with the tofu dough , the fofu was a bit too firm, but I think it is because I have used organic tofu made in Germany, which probbaly has another consistency than traditionally made tofu. Thank you so much for sharing !!! I am in love with your channel

You should use Asian style medium firm tofu. Not the tasteless very firm over compact thick heavy block of tofu sold in Organic store in the West.
