Ingredients :
《Oats Tofu Balls》
It is soft and delicious, and the deliciousness is not inferior to fish balls! You can also make two different flavors! Fried and steamed, which one would you like?
Oats Tofu Balls(350g):
Tofu 400g, Oats 70g, Tapioca Starch moderate,
Salt ¼tsp, White Pepper ¼tsp
Teriyaki Oatmeal Tofu Balls:
Fried Oats Tofu Balls 150g, Ginger Powder 1tsp,
Soy Sauce 1½tbsp, Mirin 1½tbsp, Sugar ½tbsp,
Potato Starch 1tsp, Water ⅓cup, Roasted Sesame
Seasonal Vegetable Stewed Oatmeal Tofu Balls:
Steamed Oats Tofu Balls 200g, Carrot 30g, Peper 40g, Fresh Shiitake Mushroom 50g, Cooking Oil 1tsp, Water 1cup, Mushrooms Vegetarian Stir-fry Sauce ½tbsp,
Sugar ½tsp ,Soy Sauce 1tsp , White Pepper ¼tsp, Starch Water(Potato Starch 1tsp+Water 1tbsp), Sesame Oil ½tsp

用燕麥當成丸子最重要的澱粉結構鏈並使用豆腐代替肉類,做出來的丸子結合了豆腐吸味的特性,還有燕麥的高纖維以及自然澱粉,這道菜很適合各種不同類型的人吃,小孩的話可以在丸子裡混一些玉米粒,或者用這樣的丸子燉煮久一點,也適合給生病腸胃不好吸收的病人吃,感謝老師細心料理以及大方分享

Hi Irene, I tried your wonderful recipe today and it was a success! Thank you very much! Just some modifications on my side, I fried several tofu balls without rolling in potato starch and these turned out pretty nice too. I only had traditional tofu and not the firm kind. I make these tofu balls but wish to highlight a point which some of you out there might experience like myself. The firm tofu we have in our country may not be as firm as the one shown here and the water content is much higher. Therefore, when we try shape the ball it doesn't hold as firmly as shown here. Even though you may try to squeeze it hard but due to the not so firm texture of the tofu itself, it doesn't hold as to the consistency shown above.. Perhaps we need to squeeze out the excess liquid in a cloth bag before mixing with the oats. Also, it tends to stick to the plate if you wait to finish coating the entire plate. I think we need to instantly put the coated ball to the hot oil as you coat. This is what I encounter. I still managed to fry them only some does not turn up a perfect round shape.. Thanks.

Hi Irene, I enjoyed watching your videos. Thanks so much for sharing to vegan friends. I have a question, is it possible to keep the steamed version in the freezer to use another time? Thaw and coat in tapioca starch before deep frying them? If yes freezer friendly, what is the suggested storage period? Regards, Nanyang Aan De Maas

🤔What kind of oat you use...try use instant oats ...the oat I use is very creamy then the balls can stand better...

No I did not used instant oats but I did rest the mashed tofu n cooking oats for more than an hour before forming into balls n steam 😆 Ok I will try v instant oats the nxt round 👍🤗. Nevertheless, I managed to reshape into balls n deep fried it, it tasted good 👍😊

炸過的剩油如果不是用兩次以上或多次反覆使用的剩油,其實是可以用於烹飪的。。。也盡量用小鍋來油炸,避免剩油過多。。經過幾次油炸的油就不要了。。 將舊報紙浸入廢油,待紙張吸盡油脂,丟入垃圾桶/準備一只漏斗和空牛奶紙盒,將油倒入紙盒裡,扭緊盒蓋後丟棄👌🏻
