Teddy, you nailed it with this video. A lot of people are sick of BIG watch fad. There are tens of thousands of us looking at less than 40mm watches. This was timely and perfect video!!!

You know there is a short list of those making the larger sizes anymore...and there is a market for larger watches...like me! I am an ex-football player ( American Football ) and I was 6'6" and 340 lbs as an Offensive Lineman... and still today as a 64 year old, my wrist is still 23 cm...9". Larger watches are no longer a fad, as I got my first 47 mm watch back in 2001...that's 21 years ago. Fads are short term. The 36-41 mm watches never went away.

@@larryd4352 A big watch is not limited to 47mm and beyond. For most regular sized males (not football or basketball players) a watch is big over the 41mm to 42mm mark and there are A LOT of companies that still make watches of that size. (mostly chronographs, divers and pilot watches).

Had the same feeling in years! Even brought a 35mm Santos.. But people should focus more on how the watch wears. Does it matter if its 39 or 41? Just brought a Marinemaster SBDX001. Wears nothing like a Panerai Luminor. Both 44
For me knowing the lug to lug length is important. I have very small wrist. So a lug to lug of 47mm or 48mm below is my max. For case 39mm looks perfect.

There are many factors in wearability and lug-to-lug is certainly important. I figured case size would be a better way to test this idea of building a list around size to begin. So far, people seem to like it which is nice to see.

Not just lug to lug but overall shape. I have a 42mm watch that wears slightly better, on my very skinny wrist, than my favourite watch which happens to me 39mm.
36mm would be a challenging but interesting video…it’s also my favorite size
Love this, Teddy! As a woman who is into horology, I appreciate smaller dial sizes so much! Thanks for the info.
Great video, Teddy. I love the concept of size-themed videos (for watches!) I set my upper limit at 40mm and actually prefer the 36-39 range, so would love to see a video on that.
Perfect concept for looking at what is available for my wrist- Bravo!
For me this is a perfectly timed video. I own a Casio Duro and a 37mm Casio three hander. I love the Duro’s charisma and presence, but at 44 mm it’s a bit big as an everyday watch. The comfort of the 37mm is amazing, but I love dive style watches. Been thinking about this case size lately.
Thank you for making this video Teddy! This is my exact wrist size and all the watches are beautiful 😍😍
Thank you for the continuing content. Great start to the day
Excited to see the Baltic Aquascaphe made your list…mine arrived two days ago! July of 2022- the Euro to Dollar value is so close now that it comes in at $604 with free shipping. It got to northeast USA from Paris France in 2.5 days from the time I clicked the order button!
I think the Christopher Ward Sealander is a great choice for either the everyday category or complications category if you want the GMT version. Their "light-catcher" case is beautiful in person.
Bravo to you for illuminating choice for those who prefer the "classic" look of smaller watches, as well as those with smaller wrists! Thank you again, as this is appreciated.
By far one of my favourite videos personally due to a smaller wrist size. Nice to see 3 of my pieces in this video as well. Teddy, you really did nail this video!
I enjoyed the concept, as I am trying to better judge what may be appropriate for my personal use. An additional data point to include is to estimated the range of wrist sizes for which each model is best suited. Thanks for all you work. Much appreciated.
A great review Teddy looking at watches based on size for those who have a certain diameter wrist that rules out some models from brands. I have to love the Omega Globemaster blue dial, I have this on the leather strap and for me is definitely a keeper, that pie pan dial is a work of art. The inclusion of the BB58 is a no brainer as a stunning diver along with the BB Pro. For those who rule out the BB Pro out due to the thickness dimension but like the design (I did initially) I recommend that you try it on the wrist if you can as it hides its thickness very well indeed as I ended up leaving the AD with it on my wrist. Thanks for sharing Teddy.
Love that you included the 39.5 Planet Ocean. My 1st high end watch. I have the blue face. For the most part it's a daily wear.
Well done, thanks for a great video! It's refreshing to see a plethora of watches that normally wouldn't be mentioned together in one video. Please do that again with 41/42mm watches.
Great video Teddy. Really nice to see watches that are compatible for people with a smaller wrist size and for those with a larger wrist size but prefer a smaller size case . Keep up the good work 👏
Great job Teddy, just what we needed! Case size can be a deal breaker no matter how much you love the watch. You know this better than anyone. Thank you!!!!

I dig the concept. I think it's a great idea. I hope you continue to display the many options by watch size.
Amazing choices - and yes, an interesting way to compare watches. The Grand Seiko GMT is beautiful; only wish it had a brighter GMT hand.
Great great video thank you. Everything from 38 to 41 is precious
I just started this video. 39-40mm is a real sweet spot in terms of design and visual balance. I can wear a 42-44mm case no problem, my favorite watch by far however has a 40mm case width. Even simply sitting side by side with the others, it simply looks right. Tudor this very day re-released the Ranger in 39mm, Hanhart just released the 417ES UN 39mm. People are refining their understanding of design, there’s a more nuanced approach to it.
As someone with a smaller wrist, this type of video is much appreciated.
Great job Teddy. Yes do more videos like this, they're really enjoyable.
Would you do a 37 to 36 mm size vid?

Very nice job. I personally love 39-40mm watches they fit and wear perfectly for me. Great variety in prices as well!! Nice job
Great video Teddy. 40mm is my sweet spot. The perfect size for comfort and style. Not too big, not too small. Great topic and content as always. Thanks.
Thanks for this! Helps those who prefer smaller watches

Agreed. I'm a fan of smaller watches despite my 20cm wrist. I was surprised by how well the 37mm Longines Spirit wore. But that Ranger has leap frogged its way to the head of the que; I'm guessing I won't be alone.

Yep. Ranger wears real nice and comfortable at 39mm.
This was an excellent video, thank you ! By far my first point before buying a watch : the size. And 39mm is just the perfection for me. Thank you so much. Would love to see other size like 38 or 40mm ☺️
Very interesting!! An outstanding review of lots of options in one size!!👍🏼

Good job teddy, we need more videos on watches of these sizes!
Literally a watch video I needed and wanted 🙌
I love your videos. In that kind of series 39mm, 38mm, I would enjoy a 10mm, 11mm, etc. Thickness instead of diameter. That is actually more important to me. I can wear 36 to 42 as long as thickness/thinness fits. Thanks!
Loved the format being based on case size! Would like to see more 👍
I don’t ever leave comments, but I must now! Great video as always. Any content covering the 36-39 space would be great. It’s so hard now to find a good watch in this range. Thanks Teddy!
This is the video I've been waiting more!
Brilliantly done
I love this idea! I’d love to see the infamous 36mm to be done as a video as well.
Classic genre ! A must-have for any watch enthusiast Cheers from San Diego California
VERY interesting !! Thank you very much !

40-41mm is the sweet spot for me. I’ve got a 6 3/4” wrist but prefer a slightly larger size.
This video is a home run. Very well done! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
That is the exactly video I was looking for!
Outstanding video Teddy
Looking forward to 40 and 41mm videos. Great idea, Teddy. Thank you!
Great idea Teddy....wrist size is important for alot of..I have a smaller wrist so 41mm max. Tudor 1926 and Longines Hydroconquest thus far, love them.
Thanks for the list Teddy
Great video, Teddy (as always). That Globemaster sure looks great. Since I'm a big Longines fan, I'd also mention the Hydroconquest. Newly also in 39 milimeters with a ceramic bezel.
Thanks for this video. Saved me tons of research
great video Teddy. good way to look at the watches based on size
Great video!!! Yes, keep this kind of content comin!!!!
39mm to me is the absolute best modern watch size! I own an Omega AT 2500 (1st generation) and it absolutely is the best bang for your buck on the secondary market. Rolex would absolutely benefit if they were smart to make the DJ as an option in 39mm. Also, if you want another beautiful 39mm well priced option not mentioned check out Milus Snow Star!
Thanks Teddy for the excellent video. I am currently searching for a watch upgrade and cases below 40mm always wear better on my wrist, so thank you for the ideas.
Great Job ! Teddy Hit a lot of price points. Bottom line 39mm wears for pretty much anyone. My choices the JLC ultra thin moon-phase and of course my obvious choice since I’m a Rolex fan the Explorer 214270; prefer the mark 2 dial. Thanks Teddy ! Always rockin’ great content. 🤙
Love your Omega. That thing is a beautiful watch. Pure style.
Loving this content! I’m stuck at around 36mm as someone with a small wrist
Great idea for a video! Would love to see more with other sizes.
Wow Laco is amazing for the price. Very helpful review. Just bought the spb-147. A little bigger but in the same category for me with the lug to lug dimension.
I just got the Rolex Cellini Moonphase beautiful watch can't get tired of looking at it. At 39 mm it is my smallest watch with the Oris Aquis GMT being the largest. As always great video. Thank you.
Always a VeryGood Review
Good idea for a series! Looking forward to 40-41mm
Nice subject for comparison
Many thanks. 39 is my favourite case size.

I can only dream about the watches you recommend. that's why I bought the first automatic in my life, the Thomas Earnshaw Skeleton ES-8140, based on the basic Chinese no-name movement, price of GBP 90. It's beautiful, it's only decently fast 15 sec / 24
Perfect. Good idea
Great series of videos Teddy. One for your suggestion box, how about a video looking at timepieces with 20mm spacing. I have invested heavily into 20mm straps and I now only consider timepieces if they accommodate my straps. There may be other people out there who may be in a similar position as me, in which case it may be useful to get your insights. ✌
I really like the idea of a case size theme. I would also like to see something based on finish. For instance for me I love brushed stainless steel finishes, whereas I know others love different approaches to cases/bracelets etc.
Thank you Teddy!
Great video!
Oris Aquis, what a stunning watch.
I much prefer 40-42mm. I like a watch I can actually see, for having a 6 1/4 inch wrist myself. 42mm max haha. With the exception of the 44mm Casio Duro. It's a Casio. No regrets.
Good idea, Teddy! and the other segment I'd love to see continued is Hot Take review. That was a lot of fun, and very useful.
Love this concept. I'd send you flowers if you do 36mm, or even 35-38 based on lug lengths (shorter as the diameter goes up), as this segment is really where I'm focusing these days. Thanks for making this one!
Love this. I am always looking for 39mm case sizes because it just seems to be the perfect size for me. Of course, overall design, shape of the case, diameter of the dial, and length of the lugs all influence how a watch looks and wears. But nevertheless I keep coming back to 39mm as a Goldilocks size. Even on my 7.5 inch wrist.

Tissot Le Locle would've been a great fit on most wrists if they maintained a L2L of less than 45mm. For example JLC Master Ultra Thin Moon; now, that's how it's done! Great video as always, Teddy!
The Globemaster is a beauty and it's not just the fluted bezel - it's the pie pan dial!
This is a great idea. Most of the mistakes I made in my early watch collecting days was buying watches with the wrong size dials.
very helpful vid, ty !
Great idea!
Exactly what I’m looking for today. 👏. Congrats on brick and mortar store 🎉
Love the style!
Great idea

Echo Neutra also has some really cool 39s. They have a really modern field watch range, one with sub seconds, another with a moon phase.
Dzięki za ten film, od dłuższego czasu szukam ciekawego zegarka o niewielkich rozmiarach średnica do 40mm i grubości /wysokokości max. 10. WR 100m / 10 atm. Do codziennego noszenia, więc wytrzymały i najlepiej niezbyt ciężki. Możliwość wymiany bransoletki na pasek skórzany. Szukałem też małego divera / nurka, ale wszystkie raczej są bardzo duże. Przedział cenowy do 200 $ i do 400 $
Love this video . I just got into watch collecting and 38-40cm seem perfect on my 6.5 wrist . I got the Grey Alpinist & the Green Straight edge from Seiko
