Over the last few decades and especially this past year, things seem to have become more casual. Gone are the days of heading into the office five days a week dressed in a suit and tie or even business casual. In many cases, gone are the days of heading into the office at all. As the world of work has changed in terms of style and location, so has the world of watches, with more casual options making more sense for many watch enthusiasts than true dress watches. In this video, I’ll share some of the best everyday watches out there on the market from the affordable range all the way up to $1,000.

I would pay more for Seiko to put a sapphire glass on its watches. There is nothing like peace of mind.
@bryanparker2855

Pay less and replace the crystal yourself. A double dome sapphire crystal with AR coating can be as little as $29.95. A whole watch tool kit with crystal press (for removing the original mineral crystal and pressing in a new sapphire crystal) is $28.61. I did it in about an hour or so with zero prior experience. Watch some videos to make it easy peasy. All the best!

Seiko Presage Has Sapphire Crystal & Baby GS Movement ,For Less than $1000
I work in medicine, and my everyday watch is the casio dw5600. If it's good enough for astronauts, then it's good enough for me. It's nice because I can sanitize it without worrying about it, and I wager I could probably dip it in alcohol and it'll come out fine. I have a rolex sub, but I'll pretty much stick with the g shock as an everyday, and save the sub for when I'm out and about off work. I see gshocks on the wrist of some of the physicians at my hospital as well, but I'm the only one with a square one.

I have the G-Shock GW6900. The ultimate sports/hike/camping watch. I love it. I time my roller blade skate with it. Turn it to the inside of the wrist for glancing at. It is the perfect ergonomic time piece.

I use my FW-91 for everything that is too risky for my Grand Seiko (tennis, hiking, beach). I thought about DW-5600 to be more peace of mind, but I asked myself this question: does that additional peace of mind justified by that 15mm thickness? The answer is a hard no plus FW-91 has 7 year battery, a lighter weight and cheaper. So a decision is made.

Teddy, I'm a bit late to comment on this vid from a year ago, but wanted to say that your vids are serious high quality and informative, just like many of the watches you present. I'm glad your viewing numbers are phenomenal, which hopefully keeps you doing this full time (and buying / testing new watches!). We really need a great channel like this, and anytime you add in Kevin O., it's just a bonus. Thanks again!
I have the Mido Multifort 38mm for about 3 years now and it is the perfect everyday watch for me. Sporty but can be worn in the office, have also taken it swimming in some of my vacations. It's also the most complimented watch I have. Truly an amazing value for money.
I’ve never been too much into the Seiko Alpinist but this one looks far more elegant and sleek than the usual ones and thereby much more appealing in my opinion. Great piece, thanks!
Thank you, Teddy, for a great overview within this segment of watches.
I found all very nice horology pieces so thank you again for your kindness Teddy. My preference is the Tissot Powermatic by the moment. Saludos!!!
Teddy has gone from a busy man to a prolific producer. Keep 'em comin' Ted. 🔥⌚🔥
I bought a Hamilton Khaki Field Automatic in black 2 years ago at a watch outlet for Swatch Group watches (no Omega or Blancpain for sure) - paid 350€. I also bought my Longines Hydroconquest Automatic in 39mm in red with black rubber for 750€ from there a few years ago. Fantastic watches for that price!
That's a great point, when you look at photos of factory workers, shop keepers etc. Say pre 1930, you see 3 piece suits. Jackets off, or sleeves rolled up but not much else, maybe an apron. It's amazing how fast that disappeared.
I’m 34 years old and I just fell in love with the world of watches. Thanks a lot Teddy.
Nice to see some Mido mentions. Got the Mido Multifort Patrimony last week and I love it so much.
Hey Teddy, I really appreciate the content you're putting out here! Will we see a video from you on the updated Traska Summiteer soon? 🤞
Nice list! My personal pick in the $500 range is the Lorier Falcon II. Its my daily driver, perfect size for me at 36mm and super versatile
Just a general comment that your speaking ability is beyond any of the other watch professionals I’ve ever heard. Great delivery. No filler words. Super crisp with your message/point.
That last German watch was cool. Also the first hammy showed was interesting. I have a manual wind. Also recently I’ve been into Farer and have 2. Love that brand a lot!!
I really enjoy you coming back to and discussing field watches and peices other than rolex/dive/chronos. Thank you keep up the good work.

It’s nice to see a variation on this channel. Most other watch channels highlight Rolex and it’s getting tiresome. Rolex is popular because of marketing and that’s all. There are better bang for your buck watches

I purchased a Seiko SRPB57 just after this video was released and now, a year later, it’s still an amazing watch. Fairly accurate, very rugged watch. One big plus for me is the lume; quite readable in the dark. The watch wears nicely on my 7.75” wrist . Definitely worth the money and I am seriously considering buying another one, perhaps with a blue dial.
The new seiko sharp series looks awesome!
I'm glad you included the Muhle. Lovely watch.
Loved this video as the bezel-less everyday watch is the only style I seriously look into.
Another under the radar option is the Seiko 5 SNK805. Stock it comes with a nylon band but swap in a leather band and the military styling works as a semi formal dress watch. It's a fun choice for people in the snow belt when scraping, shoveling, and breaking up ice is a regular part of the day.

I just got the Seiko SPB165, the white dial Sharp Edge. The dial is beautiful and I can’t stop staring at it. It truly is a great all round watch with the safire crystal, great bracelet and 100m water resistance.
I just ordered the Tissot gentleman. Can't wait to put my hands on it. But I really want the Hamilton and Muhle too, beautiful watches. Another amazing video Teddy!!
Fantastic video as always. Id love to see you do a feature on the Seiko Presage SSA397. I recently acquired this piece and am absolutely in love with it. The simulated moss on the dial is really nice.
The more I look at the Tissot Gentleman Powermatic 80 the more I am enamored by how elegant it looks, while at the same time being so affordable. It looks like a watch that should be priced, at least, double what it costs. It is probably going to be my next purchase to add to my watch collection. I have Teddy to thank for my obsession with this watch, since he has featured it numerous times on this channel.

I keep saying it, the day Tissot releases a gentleman in 36-37mm, it's an instant buy for me.
You mentioned a lot of great watches here. Seiko is always worth a look. The Mühle Glashütte was a very pleasant surprise. Never heard of it before. Excellent looking watch! For me, at a pricepoint below $1,000 my favorites are pretty much all the brands from the Swatch Group like Hamilton or Tissot. Well-proven ETA movements. Great value for the money. Picked up my Tissot LeLocle for like $500 in 2017. Still working great. Still loving it.
As always with your presentation, most instructive... Superb review...thank you for posting..
Favourite was the Murph..had one for a few weeks ..but lug to lug of 52mm is way too big unless you have a monster wrist..👍
Took a note of many of these choices mostly the Traska Summiteer as well as the Hamilton Khaki Field Auto. They really seem to have a good "bang for your buck" watch. Thanks for sharing.
Bought the Seiko SRPE57 a month ago. Such a beautiful watch.

Great comparison as always, the Alpinist and the Hamilton Murph really caught my eye.
I like the summary you put next to each watch.
Great and elegant watches! Really enjoying and learning from you, keep it up my man
Great review Teddy, some very good options on the table from all around the globe. Not a watch that I could say I don't like in the list. It's pretty close although out of the lot I think The Seiko SPB167 for the dial although it's very close to the Hamilton Murph and Tissot Gentleman. I'd have to try the Seiko as bracelets from them in the past that I've had have been pretty second rate. Never had issues with Tissot bracelets.
Have the Hamilton already and love it. Of these, the two I want are between the Seiko Presage Sharp Edge and the Muhle Glashutte Panova. Love the dial on the Seiko but am attracted to the playfulness of the colors on the Muhle. The latter is definitely less formal.

Either Hamilton style all the wayyyyy. And the ones with cathedral style hands and the regular field style. One style comes in either soft green and the other style comes in the soft blue dial color. Both come with steel bracelets also. Both are just beeeautiful watches!

Interesting group. Seiko SPB 157 was my favorite, but that last German watch caught my eye as well.
Muhle Glashutte never heard of them before. I loved the piece you showed. I will look it up, thanks.

Damasko DS30 looks timeless and very elegant! Simply, yet effective dial and hands. Excellent design! i am impressed!
Really looking forward to the upcoming Seiko Laurel Alpinist revival watches... hope you get to review the Seiko SPB243 when they come out later this year, since it really is a great mix... dressy but with great outdoor specs.
That stimmy hit and Teddy put out the perfect video!
Excellent video. I like the Nomos and Blue Alpinist
Laco Augsburg is my #1. Even with the Miyota movement it’s running + 5 seconds a day after close to 2 years. No issues, no problems.
I've been looking for a beater watch for yard work etc., went ahead and ordered the 42mm Laco Augsburg. Thanks!
I can’t get myself to buy a watch over $1000. I wanted the Sinn 556 but can’t afford it right now. I bought a Seiko 5 Automatic SNKE63J1 Black Dial Stainless Steel Men's Watch. It was only $100! I put a vintage black leather strap on it from Amazon for $15. It looks like a Rolex Explorer. The best part is the lume. Out of my watch collection, this $115 purchase scratched that itch and it’s my favorite watch right now. (Owner of a Ball Engineer, Junhans formA, Tissot prs 516, Zellos Hammerhead 2)
Love the Murph watch! Thx.
Great vid 👍 So many to choose from 🧐 Being a Seiko guy first and foremost; I'm surprised to say my favorite is the Hamilton Khaki Murph ⌚😎👍
My favorite is Hamilton Khaki Automatic. Love it!

The Sinn 556 is worth stretching the budget. Love the Orient Maestro. Was my first automatic watch. Also love everything coming from Baltic and the offerings from Serica.
Let me add two models, one I'm eyeing, one I own: 1. Traska Commuter. Watch isn't out yet, but especially the mint-coloured dial variant looks awesome. Looks like a pretty affordable OP/DJ alternative. 2. Christopher Ward C63 Sealander Automatic. Talk about the ultimate everyday watch. The case and the finish overall are amazing for the price.

All very good options, especially the Seikos and the Hamiltons
Nice video. I’ve never thought dive watches worked with sport coats. These offer a much more “put together” look.
Muhle has a design language that inmediately calls the eye, refined , striking without hassle . Gotta love their work

Thanks for this new video. I’d add the lovely Falcon II from Lorier, white version that I just ordered ;)
My favourite by a big margin in this group is the Seiko SPB167. Aesthetically it blows the others out of the water imo. Shame Seikos have gone up in price so much in the past couple of years ok. 4 years ago you could get an Alpinist for less than half the price of the new blue version. Can’t believe the new movement alone can justify this huge price hike.
Love the look of the Hamilton Khaki. Reminds me of the Breitling transoceanic day/date with black face. Will deft take a closer look.

Nice reviews. Have you done any on About Vintage watches from Denmark?
Great job. You put Certina on my radar. Beautiful watch. And almost inevitable now that I’ll buy a Hamilton - just a matter of which one.
Teddy, how about a video showing some nice quartz watches. I appreciate mechanical watches for the amazing little machines they are, but I don't buy them because I have no intention of having to constantly wind them or load them on a winder to keep them running. That's why I love quartz. They're always running and showing the correct time anytime I put one on. My current watch is an Omega Seamaster 2264 that I installed a Longines VHP thermcompenstated circuit board into to turn it into a high-accuracy quartz. It is rarely off more than half a second a month. But I'd love to have another one or two nice ones for some variety.
