Well, 41 to 42 is the sweet spot for my 7"1/2 wrist, so thank you Teddy for giving me some ideas! Very much tending towards rectangular shapes again though, so I'd say 30 to 35 mm is my sweet spot there. Cheers!

Diameter, lug width, and lug to lug are so much more important together than one or the other. I bought a Willard and traded it a couple months later for a SPB143 because the lug to lug fit my wrist better. On the other hand, my SSK gmt, turtle, and Samurai are fantastic because they’re all around 46-48mm lug to lug with 22mm lug width and larger diameters. One more example, is my Tudor pelagos 39. Yes, the 21mm lug width is a little frustrating but after owning it for 6 months it was done because that’s what properly suits the watch. The insane taper on the bracelet wouldn’t be the same if they had made it 20mm. Always try a watch on before writing it off!

    100%! lug-to-lug is what makes a 41mm watch "feel" like a 43, or a 39! you take the IWC pilot chrono 41, and it has a 52mm L2L... that's huge!

I've been wanting a dive watch- so many choices! I'm leaning towards the Marathon Arctic GSAR in 41mm at around $1850. They have the "jumbo" at 46mm which is a little big IMO. The white dial of the Arctic looks great and sets the watch apart from others, who generally sport a black dial. Also the tritium lume is pretty rare these days and indispensable for a watch of this caliber

I have been following you for a while and your guide is exceptionally helpful for the beginner like me. I have a rather small wrist so it’s tricky for me to choose one. honestly for the prospex speedtimer, I prefer the 39.5mm version simply because of the colourways. The 41 are not as muted compared to the smaller version and that kinda ruins the vibe - looks more like the cheaper watches you get under 100 bucks and also no black PVD version which I am a sucker for

Totally agree that the Rolex Date Just with fluted bezel and jubilee bracelet is the best combo! My favorite would be the white Roman, now if I can just find one! Great job on this video loved the content!

Excellent list overall, the only thing I outright disagree with you about is that the Nautilus is a dress watch: no way, it's an everyday watch I would say and a lot of people would even call it a sports watch.

I'd say imagine doing the Bel Canto and not actually saying what the complication was. But you don't have to imagine because that's what you did here. For those wondering it's an hour repeater. Not to be confused with a quarter or minute repeater.

At long last, the Omega DeVille gets a mention. Meanwhile, the Omega Constellation 41mm continues to be ignored here. It is the best selling model range at Omega but only the niche (within Omega) Globemaster range is mentioned like it is the more popular watch. Disappointing.

The 300 is still such a sleeper. I don’t get why it’s not more popular. You can pick them up brand new with a validated warranty card for around 4k usd on the grey market. Such a great value.
