BambuLabs recommends adding the P1P control board fan if you enclose it. It's one of the parts they left off I guess to lower the cost.

I was ready to skip this video, but honestly some of these things actually look worth buying

The price for the ‘hotbox’ might be a little high. Considering for 60 bucks more you can get the whole enclosure kit from bambu. I’m confused

It's quickly removable for better cooling when printing PLA, at least that's how I see it

Heck yea! Just ordered my Panda touch. Already doing my upgrade, I printed the ARC enclosure and a vented riser for my P1P, scuse me, now its a P1S. I also just installed the full upgrade kit, and cannot wait to get to printing some PC-CF, Nylon CF and ABS/ASA!

I have a cloud extinguisher in my X1C and I thought the side mount was just clunky and my Bento Box filter would not fit. I designed and printed a riser with a mount for the cloud unit so it is mounted horizontally at the top of the unit. Since it is at the top it should (in theory) react to flames faster.

P1P ships with the gold build plate. They started shipping them with the gold in the summer of 2023

rip i got mine before and got the black one. i buy beds on aliexpress anyways because i like some of the bed looks, but i might get another bed from BBL in the future.

Oh that’s awesome to hear. Yeah the default black one I’ve been printing with mine is alright and no where near as good as those gold ones

If at all possiblye I'd love to see a direct comparison between the hot box and the Bambu P1P Enclosure Kit.

Does that touch screen still fit if you have the companion cube casing on it? Plan on printing it once I get a P1P, and if the touch screen is worth the money, it'd be cool if it fit.

Depending on how much that hot box costs I may get this for my P1S because I need dust protection in my garage. I wouldn't use this as an enclosure, just a cover. The window makes it where I don't have to remove it and that zippered part on the side looks like it sits right where the exhaust for the P1S is.

Does the enclosure help with sound reduction? Just got a p1p and it sounds like a jet compared to my Creality printer. It's my only issue is how loud it is.

thanks for the great video and yes, the HotBox does improve noise reduction and heat retention!

Its all cool and so, but to be hoenst most of those you dont need at all. Closure if want to print different more harder materials, but there is option to print them yourself, so its a nice touch for everyone.

Wham Bam has a printable attachment for the AMS buffer! It’s awesome!

Not sure about the hotbox. I have a side spool attachment and the cables are rubbing against the hotbox. I also use an external camera for my Timelapse video, but that also means the P1S and X1C would be hard to film too.

Which cables are rubbing? Have you mounted the rear PTFE mount?

This would be perfect since i mainly print tpu and pla with the occasional asa print.

At that point why not just buy the x1c?

The p1p doesn't have wifi?

So this has actually made me consider Bambulabs. I didn't want one because of all of the company drama, but I am just looking to print fast, vent out the microplastic cooties and shove the printer somewhere til the desire strikes again. This "enclosure" is a great deal for a low powered fume extraction setup that is actually helped by not being airtight.

6:20 light that sucker up and see what it does….outdoors of course!!

Fair warning Bambulab has suggested they may do a future update that blocks the use of the Panda Touch and similar sustems. They're talking about APIs long term that might work again but no indication of when. The Panda Touch product page has some more details on the issue. Surprised that wasn't touched on here.

I want the panda touch but the people that made it have now pointed out it may stop working if Bambu simply encrypt the connection it uses (think it's MQTT). This seems like a massive misstep that they should have sorted with Bambu first tbh

I really wanted to love my P1P but it has been nothing but trouble for me , 1 month of ownership now and i honestly hate the thing. The extruder keeping losing its homing and bashes up against the corners, i have a squeaky belt that is not burning off rubber and it has already had a nozzle clog after less than 10 prints. Ive never messed with any settings, i always just use "auto" for everything but even if i can get it to print and finish, it normally looks like crap. Bambu screwed me after just 4 days of ownership when the extruder locked up and belt started grinding, told me "No returns" even though the printer had 11 hours of use. I regret EVERYDAY ever going with Bambu

why would someone use the screen on the printer anyhow? why not just use the phone app or the bambu slicer's device view? - if you're using your 3d printer, you need to be slicing and sending prints anyway... the only time I ever use the display on my p1s+ams is when I need to pair a new slicer and I need to get the security pin from the settings screen.

Curious about the use too. seen multiple times people mentioning not having a touch screen, but after having owned my P1S for a few weeks I haven't touched the panel after the initial setup.

......and it doesn't brake😅

I haven't touched the control panel once. lol everything is done through my pc ? Why do people complain about this.. it's the same with my x1c it has a beautiful touch screen but still use my pc lol

I will use my pc to slice / send print jobs. But everything else I do from the machine directly. Load / unload filament Reprint past print jobs I regularly move my machines from my house to office so I also swap the wifi regularly But that’s awesome if you roll everything off the pc.

Nope, the panda screen is literally a copy of a 10$ diy and when you add an enclosure you are going to need the optional fans otherwise you are going to have problems. I would instead go for the p1s upgrade kit for 150$

I love my bambu labs A1 but there is no excuse for using that crappy old interface panel on the P1P and P1S, it would cost 10$ more per unit to use a small touch screen like on the X1C, A1, and A1 mini.
