I'd love to hear where you would place Crickets as a protein source. Especially if you farmed them yourself. As a person who plans to start a small farm in the mere future and plans to utilize Eggs, Crickets and Salmon from Annual Salmon Runs as my primary full protein sources.

Thanks, Dr. Gundry, for letting us all know that vegetables have tons of toxins and anti-nutrients! I had the worst gut issues for 15 years diagnosed with IBS. The dr. kept saying eat more fiber. But the worse I felt. I quit eating all fruits and veggies and all my symptoms disappeared! I now eat meat, seafood and eggs and feel like a new woman. Every time I have tried adding veggies back into my diet, I get the same symptoms and feel horrible. At 76, I finally feel good.

@@GundryMDYT I am new to your channel and I am fully impressed with your knowledge. I have a question that someone else has posed however which is the issue of oxalates. I have had one kidney stone in my life and it was pure hell. The urologist said it may have been the culmination of many years or it may have been my diet and of course recommended water and lemon juice which is really hard to remember. Since learning about oxalates, even with my horses pasture I am wondering what you're feelings are since most of the veggies that you recommend are high in oxalates Thank you for any feedback. because often times te olive oil will be rancid so it will go from a good fat to a bad fat and another thing is that you dont know where the sourcing of the olive oil comes from and when you dont often times it will be cut with seed oils and why are these bad? they oxidize cholesterol molecules

Also you cant find all the good foods I see on KZread here, I think there's a Whole Foods 1.5 hr away but they only go to richer areas I guess because they are more money? Make sure there is no added sugar to it. Also, I think if the yogurt is made from A2 cows it's acceptable. But pay attention to how you feel because many people have sensitivities to dairy no matter what the source.

Fermented pea protein is better than regular because the fermentation process can reduce the amount of lectins. However, we still recommend opting for a plant based shake without pea protein like ProPlant Complete!

Imma skerred to eat lol ok so Pasture/grassfed meats good, wild seafood from alaska best. Delli meats all bad. Only pressure-cooked beans good, lite tuna in can good, only eggs pasture raised or omega 3 or soyfree...good. Quorn-good (ground or meatless pieces), corn-bad. Mushrooms good but cook them first. Soy products mostly bad unless Tempeh or Miso. Fake meats-bad. ugh. There goes my meat and poultry habbit. I am cutting way back now and adding more veg. Thanks Doc I bought several of your books.

Context: Crohn's Disease/Ileitis I'm trying to reintroduce beans to my diet by pressure cooking them then lacto-fermenting them. Pastured Eggs and tuna are my staples. Trying to minimize animal protein, though, thus the beans. If I can tolerate beans I'll go back to being vegan. I was flaring every two weeks and I think it had something to do with lectins, and candida.

@LongDefiant Healthcare system isn't going to do anything for you anyway except dick your system up even more with drugs that don't work. Beans are complex carbohydrates and have insoluble fiber which are both indigestible. You need easy to digest soluble fiber foods like well cooked and pureed butternut squash, zucchini, pumpkin, carrots(boiled at least 3 hours) and blueberries(cook them down to a jam if necessary). Add eggs(not boiled as they Cause gas), venison, bison, beef, chicken, pork and turkey. The more wild the better. Cook meats broiled to start off. Then start cooking in olive oil and tallow when symptoms start to reside. Take natren or visbiome probiotics and candidase for candida.

@LongDefiant IF you do have to have plant protein which I wouldn't do until you're in full remission you can try red lentils. You can get good ones from Wellbees which has a specific "gas free soak" that they use. Even though lentils have a good amount of soluble fiber, the insoluble can't be cooked out like how carrots can be and the complex carbohydrates are still hard to break down. The benefits of getting protein from animal sources is that meat is completely digested in the small intestine and its nutrients are fully absorbed as that's where all our nutrition is absorbed. Plant foods like oats, beans, rice lentils etc are full of indigestible Carbohydrates and insoluble fiber that passes straight through the small intestine causing the pain, gas, bloating, diarrhea etc. Once it hits the colon most of the food hasn't been broken down by the small intestine giving no nutrients to your body and the colon just expels it as liquid or loose stools.
