The BEST Garage Build EVER - E9: Every Tool You'd Ever Want (Insane Tool Collection)

As if this garage hasn't been insane enough, well, here's some more insanity: every Sonic Tool inlay to form the most complete cabinet tool setup, paired with the Milwaukee Master Collection for both accessories and tools. It doesn't get much better than this. To see it all come together in one place is incredibly humbling for both me and all the people at Obsessed Garage who have worked so hard to make this happen.
You can piece together your Master Collection Here! We sell all of the tools shown in this video below.

Late to the party but 40k in tools is not actually that bad. As a semi retired technician i can promise that i have much more than that. After 45 years of wrenching and buying quality tools it adds up. I do have my box(s) very well organized. Not each tool in its own foam cut out, would need alot more storage, but a place for every tool. Thank you for this dream garage brother. I do have quite a few Milwaukee M12 and M18 tools.

I would venture to say that people who can afford a build like this and have the means to purchase all of these tools, have others complete the mechanical and menial tasks many of us must execute ourselves. Just my intuition.

I don’t think you’re wrong however, I think it’s just like the car washing. In all honesty it makes more sense for me to have someone wash my cars every week then to take the several hours and do it myself. I find it a great way to let myself melt and meditate. I think there are still plenty of people out there who are high earners but grew up working with their hands or started by working with their hands or just derive satisfaction from being able to do things themselves, and then ofcourse on the flip side of that are the people who just want to have it so they can tell the people in their life.

I find it fascinating that anyone would not want something like this if you have an interest in cars. I've chased my whole life to able to make choices that didn't involve consideration around money. Fly first class or coach, order whatever you want from the menu, get any car you want, send your kids to school and just write the check... These are all things I find valuable and am willing to make the sacrifice to get it. I want the choice to work on my own cars...or not. If I'm going to work on something, it sure would be nice to have amazing tools to do it. But...I still have the choice. When you've had the success you don't have the baggage of worrying about justifying any longer. You just make the choice without judgement.

You're not wrong but there are a lot of people, myself included, that do not wrench or work on cars to save money. We do it because we love it. Now, in order to achieve that for me I take no joy in detailing or wrenching on a crappy mini or economy car. Give me something interesting and I'll spend days happily

Lithium Ion batteries are best kept in the 50-80% range. Fully charging and discharging is what takes a toll on them. The other real problem causing thing is heat. The more often they heat up, the more wear and tear. The magic of having the funds the buy a complete set like this is that you can game the Milwaukee packages to get a battery for each tool without a ton of extra cost.

Love the organization and design, love Matty, but where the tools are located in the cabinets clearly shows it has been done by someone who is not a mechanic. A 72” wide top drawer full of screwdrivers? On top??? Mechanics most used tools: top drawer-sockets & extensions, next drawer down- ratcheting wrenches, next drawer- hex/torx/reverse torx bits. 4th drawer-pliers/ knipex pliers wrenches/ diagonal cutters/ hose clamp pliers/ hose removal pliers/ Swedish pipe wrenches/ vise grips. Although still necessary, even ratchet handles have fallen out of favor with the advent of 1/4”, 3/8”, 1/2” impact guns and battery ratchets. Still love what you do Matty, it never ends. Trolls … most of us can discern from what we “need” versus what we “want”. If you’re complaining about stuff like “why waste money on tools you’ll never use”, you have completely missed the point. I’m afraid you’ll never understand. Why buy season tickets if you don’t use them all? Why pay for cable if you don’t watch it that often? Why buy a 75” TV? …… how about, stop being a hater and just appreciate another’s success? You know, you don’t HAVE to be jealous/envious. It doesn’t effect you. For me, a $500 garage chair is utterly ridiculous. That doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate the value (real or imagined). Same here, no I’m not going to spend anywhere near this on tools but I still see the value and convenience. Not to mention it just looks killer. It’s just my humble opinion, but maybe spending more time with your family may help reduce the hate?

If you’re sole focus is on why this guy spent gobs of money on something you’d never use … like I said, you’ve missed the entire point.
