Obsessed Garage has become a place to share the ownership experience of the amazing things that go in and around my sanctuary, THE GARAGE!
It has been quite a while now since I was diagnosed with Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. I started this channel as a way to support my car journals on forums like Rennlist and Bimmerpost, and it eventually became my outlet. I forced myself to grab the camera and bring you along on my car guy journey as a way to get out of my own head and connect with other like-minded people. The result of letting go of my superiorities and fears has been completely life changing. Letting people in is difficult for me, but it has resulted in the creation of a brand, organized a community that has a culture of excellence, and ultimately has changed my life. I can only hope it resonates with your life as well.
Thanks for being a part of this!

I've been waiting to see matt get these since I saw them in that garage build.
I've never fould a good detailing tape.
The ones at BMW dealerships are crazy
This unit is branded by Simoniz.
Oh my goodness @ 8:00 I really felt that lol
So boring
i use to work at a shop with these doors they were great
Sick detail shop OMG!
This was amazing!! Well done, I am definitely going to try this polisher out. This gentleman was on point with all his information & explanations. Thank you for always leading the way with great products, information and showing us all great options.
We have one at my work. They work super smooth. Every other roll down door we had gave us issues with long down times. I will say they do need inspections with small down times. But i really like them.
Great content guys. Matt does care! How knew? If people are on a budget (and given today's economy the majority are) they do look at Amazon. If money is no issue, shop OG; I'd love to own a Kranzle K1322TS (they're amazing). Thank you Matt for showing your human side. Much respect! I am glad to see you want to be happy (reaching out and asking others questions) and not just being right all the time. Again guys, great content.
That is a great door
your watch is rolex 🤓🤓🤓🤓🤓
I like wine
Eley has QD’s on lock, never had a better one. They last forever, smooth as butter and serviceable.
They are too bulky for my taste. I've never had one of these fail, but I've had several of theirs.
Man, I remember watching the junkman videos!
I like cheese
Needs a soft close.
That’s a fire door for sure
20 grand for ONE door 🤯
Lol Leave it to Matt to get all giddy over a door. Coming soon to the OG store hehe
Some unsolicited thoughts-notice you do carry a few angelwax products. After years of experimentation with various compounds, I’ve landed on Angelwax Regenerate-can one stage most corrections as it has both cutting and polishing (slow pass with pressure, quick pass no pressure). Heavier corrections with long nap MF discs (I like oberk). It’s almost magical how much better it works than others. I’m sure you’ve come across it-worth another look in your pursuit of functional excellence 😊.
I didn't hear you mention Kalamazoo grills. It's definitely a step up from what you bought. Don't know if they would do a deal with you. Plus, where's the pizza oven? Enjoy the kitchen...
Pizza oven is going downstairs. Kalamazoo is not that great. I thought about doing one.
I know you can’t do it on camera, but when you’re doing it on your own, do you wear a mask? Is breathing in clear coat a concern?
I might do something line that if I did it all day, but not as a hobby.
@@ObsessedGarage thanks
I wish I watched Mat's video before I got tint done on my 24' model 3 perf. My 3 series came with tint and felt that it lacked privacy (black interior), then put 35% on my Tesla (white interior) and damn near zero privacy. Lessons learned
Do you know what colour that orange e92 was? Fantastic video as always. I’ll look forward to following along.
$20k worth off tools all the gear and absolutely no idea . What a plonker
No idea? I just showed you how to do this.
@@ObsessedGarage never showed me as I k ow what tools to use not guessing like you M16 oh no it’s a M10 . Leave the technicians to do the work correctly. Ps good for technicians mental health as makes us laugh 👍
Here is the part you are likely missing in life. I can do anything you can do and do it better, but you can't do what I can. If you focused on that rather than being insecure, you might have a better shot at getting ahead. This is the sole reason why I'm changing oil for fun on my GT3 rather than being forced to do it for someone else.
Have Rytec's at work. Love them.
I think Ferrari peaked with its modern cars with the 458 and F12, the 812 still does it for me and thought you’d lean that way. Naturally aspirated V12! This spec would look awesome on that.
Okay, jokes aside... first thing in the morning I go to my car which is sitting in my garage... and every #$%@$% single time, one of my exterior mirrors is heavily misadjusted! Wtf? The whole family was already interrogated and nothing. I am gonna check the security camera recordings cuz this is already driving me nuts. 😂
Chemical Guys products are more affordable and superior. All available at Walmart and just 400 yards away from prime beef at way lower prices.
Ha, ha… No
Came here for the polisher, Would love to give it a try !
Green Coolant inside ??? please tell me its no true.
Wow this is an epic moment on KZread. What a collaboration of these three powerhouse KZreadrs. Awesome vid really enjoyed every moment of it. And to Matt , look at what you have started.
Cut out part of backstory and say goto pay wall to see it? Seems greedy really. Keeps elitism claims going
Just thinking about young Matty with his Griot's Garage shelves and looking at the new products in the new pamphlet. Now look. at you, so freaking cool. What a progression.
Am absolutely buzzing for this
I’d love to have him detail my vehicles but ocd much ?
I wonder if you could pressurize the filler neck if it has one and help the oil exit the chat.. koken stuff looks and sounds nice
This was great to see. I have a better understanding of where Matt is coming from. great content guys
Great video. If Active does improve/reduces the noise that the Active 2.3 produces they should make the change backwards compatible vs only putting out an entirely new and improved model and screwing their current customer base of 2.3 buyers/users. Give your existing 2.3 owners a great “upgrade” price to install the change (whatever it may be) on their own 2.3 units.
That’s not how the world works.
It's amazing how much money one will spend for the advantages of a non China-made polisher.
This is a microcosm of life. Do the right thing, and you and many times it is reciprocated. Being cheap and cheating your way through life means you will attract the same.
Star Wars doors!
Finally bought something from the good ol u.s.a.😁
Is it possible to top a ceramic coated car with ultra lock as a maintenance?
Yeah…it likely won’t bond.
380 miles. Why buy the car? Your obviously not driving it
Long story…but I can’t drive due to panic.
Great collaboration.
Def gonna order. Was surprised it was $30 which makes it even better !
Best *Detailing* lifts .
So can you not change a tire while using that lift?
You put blocks but still you are limited with a pad style lift. Two post lift is almost always more beneficial
You can do anything on a scissor lift that you can do on a 2 post.
@@ObsessedGarage No you can't . Sorry but I have worked under lifts for 30 years and the AS 2 post is where it's at for auto repair . Try and remove a front wheel drive subframe and trans on scissor lift .
@ObsessedGarage no you cannot, been a mechanic for 11 years with both a scissor and 2 post lifts. 2 post lifts are a must for any mechanic doing major repairs on a variety of cars
@@ObsessedGarage no you can’t do all the same jobs that you can on a two post. Many vehicles you won’t be able to drop a fuel tank, access the exhaust, brake and fuel lines. Many sensors or modules the are on the belly of the vehicle. Can’t remove all the splash shield. I can keep going. I’m an Automotive tech of 23 years. Our shop has 15 lifts. 3 of them are Nausbaum lifts. Look very similar to the ones in that garage, just Blue. They are far from the world’s best. They get the most repairs of them all.
