I’m from Negros and I must say that FEATR did a great job in showcasing Iloilo dishes. This is the kind of vlog that we like. Feels authentic and nostalgic especially these foods are so similar with our dishes here. Kudos to Erwan who ate for hours and hours! Kudos to your team for coming up with this feature.

That is true Ilonggo hospitality. We never take no for an answer when it comes to feeding our guests! That's how we show appreciation and ❤. We keep saying kaon ta ( let's eat, kaon na (come and eat), or always ask you ka kaon ka na ( have you eaten yet?)? So when this happens, just have a small bite of everything, or we will be sad if you refuse. 😂

I'M SO HAPPY LOLA NORA'S EATERY WAS FEATURED IN THIS VIDEO! I used to go to University of Iloilo and Nora's was just across the street from my school, we are a half day class only and after class before going to the gym, I always eat at Nora's to get that homemade taste and feel at home kind of vibe especially from the Lola's serving the place. This video definitely took me down memory lane, thanks to Erwan and the staff for featuring our beloved city of love.

Living in Iloilo for 4 years throughout college has taught me that the best food in Iloilo can be found in the carenderias, some of which have been present for decades. You can go to place that serves La Paz batchoy since the 50's to a carenderia that specialized in fried chicken since the 40's all in the same area. What I miss most is eating bingka in Molo Plaza while peoplewatching.

We grew up with homecooked food, even in our carinderias. We always look for home-cooked meals. Laswa and sinugba whenever I go back home. They say Ilonggos are among those who are the hardest to please when it comes to food because we grew up with one of our parents who cooks, with the recipes passed on for generations.

living here now in Manila, food back home in Iloilo is really just different. especially yung mga sabaw na main dishes is cooked differently. my fave for sure is the nilaga, our own version of puchero, KBL, tinola, our home’s staple pinamalhan, and the seafood of course, it could be just crabs and dried fish for days back in my hometown. so happy that you visited local eateries and not just get some batchoy and stuff 😅 but overall such a great docu. “kagwapo gid ya bala sang bana ni Anne” hahaha

The eatery is really the place that people from all walks of life would eat before Tatoy’s came in the picture. Now you know our family’s secret. 😂😂 You need to try Sobriedo’s batchoy (batchoy ni jasmine) in sta. Barbar, seafood at Tytche and in Bebot and Mila’s. In the coastal. Siopao in kongkee and their crispy bihon. Also please explore the foods of the province of Iloilo, to our hometowns. We also have our distinct foods that we can call our own. Enjoy!! ❤❤

I may sound bias but watching something about Western Visayas, I can't take my eyes on it. No intention of skipping nor stop watching it. So proud Ilongga here! Thanks Featr for featuring Iloilo. p.s. Central Market was my go-to place when I was in college. Mercados really help me relaxed, sounds weird but I really love going to markets. Hihi

Iloilo has many great families, their cooking skills are better than those you can eat in public places. I highly recommend their sisig, Batchoy, Dinuguan, tinolang bangus and humba🤤👌
