Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
This week, Ortur Aufero sent me their new Aufero Laser 2 for me to test. I really like the Aufero Laser 1 so I was really curious to see what this machine could do. And I was not disappointed. I really hope you'll like the video.
Here is the link to the machine specifications: ortur.tech/auferolaser2/
As always, thank you for watching, be good, be safe, keep making, and see you in the next one!

Absolutely. I've used a few different machines on leather and got good results, but never like this on steel.
Great video, Red. Very informative. Cool engraver. Mahalo sharing! 🙂🐒

Thank you Jared! I'm certainly gonna use it a lot. First, I need to make an enclosure for it to protect myself from the fumes. But then, I'm gonna engrave and cut like crazy ;) Thanks for watching!
Good overview that looks like a pretty capable machine.

Great Video, Thank You, I think I am finally ready to buy one after watching this. I was impressed that you cut the wood so easily, I see they have another model which states it's better for cutting wood (LU2-4 LF (With air assist nozzle/Better for cutting). would you recommend the LU2-4-SF for an all-around use machine? Thank You!
@RedSmith
2 жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot! You are right, the LU2-4-LF is apparently better for cutting, and the one I have the LU2-4-SF is better for engraving (but also can cut). I think the LU2-4-SF is fine for doing everything, unless you intend to cut more than, engraving, and in that case, the LF is probably better for you :) Thanks a lot for watching! Happy if the video helped you in any way.
hello, cool video, I would like your advice is it worth taking this 1.6 watt model exclusively for wood engraving?
@RedSmith
Жыл бұрын
Hello, thanks. I had no problem engraving wood with my model, so it really depends on how deep you want to go with your engraving. Thanks for watching.
Wow, the detail looks great and it looks so easy to use. I went and looked and the price and my mind is blown.

What settings did you use for cutting the plywood and what thickness was it?

For 2.8mm plywood: 100mm/min,M3,S1000
That looks like a pretty sweet machine! Could you use it to cut paper templets, or would the paper just catch it on fire?
@RedSmith
2 жыл бұрын
Yes you can! The specifications of the machine indicates that you can cut paper, fabric, cardboard and many more materials. I've not tried them all yet but I will. Will be usefull to create templates :)

What settings did you use on steel?
@RedSmith
2 жыл бұрын
100mm/min, M4 Dynamic, 100% power, 15Lines/mm
I’m curious what percentage of the lasers output was required to mark steel. Also will it cut the leather?
@RedSmith
2 жыл бұрын
It was 100% on stainless steel to engrave it, with a speed of 100mm/min. It also cuts leather yes. No problem for 1mm. I'll have to do some test for 2 and 3mm to set the right output. Thanks for watching Chad!

Yes ,it can cut the leather,The thickest thickness that can cut leather is 2.05mm.
That was a good review! 👍 Can it also cut leather? And if it can up to what thickness?
@RedSmith
2 жыл бұрын
Thanks a lot my Friend! It also can cut leather indeed. It can easily go through 1mm but I'll do some tests with 2 and 3 to see how it goes

Did you coat the steel first?
@RedSmith
2 жыл бұрын
No I didn't but it's always a good idea to do so. I wanted to try without any coating first.
