This is the 2nd video of your's I've watched. I continued to be very impressed at the content and professionalism - plus the content is helping me select my first diode laser. Awesome work, please keep it up! You've gained a new subscriber.

My understanding is the 5 watt short focus is better for engraving on metal. I'd love to see a video on that. Nevertheless, thank you for this video, it's very informative.

Well done on creating a brilliant laser review. I understand that it is not a manufacturer's sales pitch, but it is better than 99% of all sales material that is produced, as it has a strong ring of authenticity. Nice one!

Another great tutorial on lasers. This has helped me make a decision on purchasing a laser. Keep making and I would love to see testing comparisons with these two lasers on metal.

I went through your Ortur link to order the Ortur laser. Thanks for the discount code!!!! I look forward to playing with the Aufero Laser 1- 5W Long Focus. I hope to see more videos on the Ortur lasers in the future.

Yes, the 5W long focus is the best out of all 3 modules, good choice!

Great video as always. To my highly calibrated MK1 eyeballs, the long focus looked much better than the short focus. It seemed to just have a more crisp look to the edges, and it didn't scorch or discolor the edges as much. Thank you for all your reviews, love the channel. Dan C. :0)

Very nice review, thanks. Two passes through 1/2” poplar is quite a nice achievement. I wonder how long the lasers last at 100% power, it may be better to run slower at lower power levels, another good reason to opt for the higher power module. It helps a bit if the workpiece is raised off the table so that the smoke can go out, this helps prevent obscuring the beam if the smoke is out of the way especially if you use air assist. A bunch of drawing pins on their back will do but has the disadvantage the it is not as stable if the table shakes during cutting.

This was a very informative video! Would you happen to know if you can engrave larger areas with this engraver by dividing out the segments of a picture?

Hi, new subscriber here. I'm getting into laser cutting and engraving and I was wondering if you could do a video on cutting different thicknesses of balsa wood with your Comgrow Z1? I'm getting the 5w version. Thanks in advance.

Hello Aurora. Thank you so much for this video. It helped me decide to buy the Aufero 1. I already have an OML 3 which I installed a 20 watt Comgrow module, so I have the OML 3 10 watt module as a backup. Do you know of I can use the 10 w Ortur module with the Aufero 1? Thanks.

I have the LF module and the cutting is great but I have a lot of yellowing/staining around the cut, so I bought myself a 58watt 75l/min air pump, that made it even worse. Luckily I was able to return it and now I'm waiting to receive a 120watt 110l/min. Hopefully my cuts will be as clean as yours😟

Very informative video. I just about to start modding watches. I want to laser print my own logo (about 1-3mm size) on a small 29mm watch dial. Would a long focus capable to do this or a short focus is better? Thinking of laser cut my own watch dial also. Tia

I have the same 5w long focus laser but it takes me three passes on 70mm/min to cut 5mm plywood. But when you did the same cut it took one pass. Were you using some special laser cutting plywood?

We ordered a laser 2 but got a laser 1 with weakest laser but in your video it works except cutting. Mine won't engrave anything..the laser doesn't seem to be staying on. Have you ever seen this issue??

Something to check - I know those laser safety glasses come with the machine - but for the wavelength of those laser modules I suspect that you should be wearing orange safety glasses not green

Hi, great video. Thanks. I would like to ask. I've just installed this air assist of ORTUR. From where should I focus the laser beam? From the bottom of the laser house or from the top of the nozzle (the place that in touch with the beam pipe). Thanks, Asaf

The focal length of the laser module is the same no matter you install the air assist or not, you can just use the same metal cylinder to set the focus like before.

Hi, great video! Can I ask you how you power the fan? I see a green module with led numbers (10min 53). I'm a newbie but I would like to add an exhaust fan like yours to my setup. Thanks in advance for the information! Regards Kristof

I have put the links under the description, just buy the fan, ducting, and print the 3D printed parts. The fan I use is a 12V fan with a server power supply from a mining rig, you can simply buy a normal AC110V fan from the link and use the wall outlet to power it.
