Can't wait to see Fullthor back and battling it out with Mitch Hooper for 1st place in the coming years

If Thor will gain his pressing strength back, every competition will be him and Mitch competing for the 1/2 place and everyone else competing for the third. In fact nothing new, it happened many times in strongman.

Thanks again Auntie Liz awesome job on the footage and editing. Loz was great on the mic and putting the events in context. The ladies throw took a bit of time to build momentum but was actually one of my favourite events. The womens comp was so exciting again, some amazing outstanding individual efforts. Congrats to Mitch & Lucy.
You're guys coverage of this weekend was so awesome! Thank you so much!
Wow! Thanks for the labeling! This event is fun to see with context! Thank you. Awesome ladies rocking it!!!
I feel like the 2 champs in their 20s + Thor are gonna give us a show for as long as Thor stays in the sport! Would also like to see a back to full form Maxime and Novikov...oh and lets not forget Kieliszkowski

The stoltmans and Martins need to make a comeback
@MojKanal-cz1iz

Novikov needs to stop competing 100%. Like completely, and just let his body heal up. He is still very young and can make great comeback. It's shame watching him perform these days. He is just destroying his body for mediocre (at best) performances. It's not worth it. Take a deserved rest, heal up and come back better than ever before.

Many thanks to loz & liz for the great coverage
Great job on getting all the events edited and released! The strongman community thanks you immensely.
Hafthor will win every single competition starting from the next one until he retires. Mark my words.

He is incredible, but I think it’s going to be a bit longer before his pressing is back to 100% and even then I don’t think he is unbeatable. I think there are always going to be enough events where Mitch is better than Thor to keep it close and competitive.
@DutchDread
Ай бұрын
@@lukebbuff Yeah, If Thors pressing comes back then statically I'd say he's pretty much unbeatable. But I think the meta has kinda changed, my reasoning is mostly because of the deadlift at rogues. Back in Thors heyday there were several strongmen who were deadlift specialists. That means that if your deadlift wasn't up to snuff you'd massively lose points there. Mateusz is the classic example, it didn't matter how amazing Mateusz was in everything if that one event screwed him over. But the same thing isn't as true now. Thor didn't just win the deadlift, he 0 effort destroyed it, he was several orders of magnitude stronger there than he needed to be to win, let alone place extremely high. But getting THAT strong at deadlift requires a specific body, a massive hulking one, which tends to lower your athleticism. Thor used to be very athletic, but became less so in order to become the best deadlifter. And that was fine because as I explained earlier, being very athletic wasn't a sure fire way to win competitions. Now though? Hooper doesn't need to deadlift 500 Kilos, he's much better off being a bit less bulky, and making sure that his body is quick and athletic enough to compensate for the reduction in strength. Hooper and Thor can both carry a frame, but Hooper can run more easily with it. He can take shorter breaks in between attempts at lifts, he can use his entire body to throw a press upwards while Thor just stands there and tries to brute force the weight.

@@DutchDread True. I was going to say - the only way Thor’s strength in the b deadlift is enough for him to dominate (rather then just be in the running) is if guys like Trey, Bobby, Wide Pavlo, Bishop, Hicks etc. are also in the competition and outperforming Mitch and Tom on deadlift. Rare that enough high level deadlifters are in the field at once for it to be as big of an advantage. Also Mitch is just so good at everything. He keeps finishing second or third at events he’s supposed to be just mediocre at.
Loved watching live and seeing the comradery between the competitors.
Yuge "thanks" to Loz &Liz for some great content. It was nice watching Thor & Hooper compete, but I really enjoyed the women's comp. My favs are Thompson & Jardine
Thanks
aww ya love to see the women do so well
Can’t wait for Nov and The Rogue Invitational . A fully fit Hafthor ( please ) Tom in front of a home crowd and with luck Oleskii and Martins back on form. Plus possible Trey & Evan, Lucas, & Luke. Maybe Mitch will be fully tested? Hope so. I think he can win all Four Big Comps in the same year Shaw Classic the only one he missed in 2023, but I want a closer contest.

@@andrewgilbertson5356 I'am a big fan of Polish Titan, so frustrated he has no win in Arnolds, he desreves it so much. Hope he will get it finally, Hooper is and will be the biggest rival
i wish we could see the whole event replay, all attempts. Is the livestream watchable as a video now? you couldn't rewind whilst watching it live either
Thor's in his own league on this event.
These women are strong enough to hold me
The amount of potentially easy WRs that Hafthor simply gives up on trying is actually funny considering how many WRs he already has on his career lmao
Hafthor looked like he could have easily hit at least 20 feet if needed. The angle shown on stream made it look like he was in the ceiling on those throws but seeing it from ground level it looked like he had about 12-18 inches of additional clearance.
Today i found a small rogue sand bag in my roof, now i know where it came from.
I had no idea Webster passed. RIP legend 💪🏼
Thor barely had started so he sent it a couple of extra feet over just to show everyone
The last time this was in World's Strongest Man was 1983 where Geoff Capes got 15'6" and the rest of the field failed so he didn't have to go any higher. But in 1982 Bill Kazmaier won with 17' Cool to see Mitch beat Kaz on his first time trying a new event.
Thor cleared the 19’ by like two feet
Lucy and Sam battling it out and shocking themselves at the end was fun but this event was painful to watch at home, I felt bad for the audience! I didn't fast forward past it while watching the stream playback but I definitely stopped paying attention and did other things.

The women comp started too low so took some time to build momentum. It was a bit different to the usual so overall I liked it. Wish they had a count back rule tho, which wouldn't have resulted in a draw.
Women's bag throwing was the most tiring strong competition I have ever watched. 1.5 hours of bag throwing. weight and height limits should be higher.
Thor can reach the moon in this event and he is tge undisputed king of deadlift today. Hoping he will totally recover the upper body from the pec injury and be full Thor. If it happens, sorry Mitchell, sorry guys, the King will be back
Hope Thor does the SMOA and gets prize incentive to DL a huge number or gets pushed to max out by someone else (unlikely)
Nice you are closing 150K subs. Gonna throw a party after you reach that mark?
Pity Thor did not keep going to c how high he could of went 💪
I mean, Thor had the advantage of already being 19’ tall for the throw. Not really fair.
Who was on the podium, No one is posting about third
The women were much stronger than the organizers assumed
forgot the apostrophe in your title at 0:06
So where was the memorium
I feel like in next 5 years all strong men will be 6’3 plus small guys like Bobby can’t compete in moving events or throwing
Looks like thor could have done 20ft there crazy
Max deadlift and weight over bar, Thor will win EVERY time.
The athletes had plenty of power on the weight for height. They just need a bit more practice on the one handed throw.
All this talk about Tom Stoltman being one of the greats lol. He did not win against either peak Thor, Shaw, Kieliszkowski Licis or Mitchell Hooper. And so far he have bombed ever Arnold Classic, not being even remotely close to winning it.
Thor gets extra feet because he's wearing a kilt.
This event was a bit boring, tbh All max type events are a little slow, but I think it would've been nice if all three commentators were available to fill in the 'dead air', the two seemed to run out of things to say
A weird technique some of them have swinging it on the outside then on the inside.
Women should have started higher or heavier.
