Agreed however, Hooper is only 28 and could possibly add more weight to his frame w out losing his mobility. He’s also very young in his strong man career as he trains these events and uses the different implements more he’ll get better. It’s going to be a crazy battle between these two. just don’t know what it’s going to take barring an unfortunate injury, very unlikely, to take mitch down! i don’t think there’s a bad series of events that would be detrimental to his performance. Loz deserves some credit as well, these videos are mostly quality and couldn’t be out faster other than being live. i get most my strongman info from the Biggest Lozer.. i kinda like that maybe it will stick..

10 fucking reps... thats the new "strongman" sadly. I start to miss the times when Hafthor, Brian, Eddie, Big Z, etc were battling it out at the really heavy stuff. Guys like hooper or Martins could not have won at those times.

I really love the camaraderie and brotherhood of strongman between the strongmen and between the fans and the strongmen. The whole Eddie/Thor beef is such a one off/anomaly that I hope one day that gets buried and forgotten. Besides that, Mitch is looking good again in this competition and Thor just keeps getting stronger and stronger. The timing of Brian retiring and Thor coming back does a good job filling in that spot of a competitor that can potentially win every competition. Makes everything all the more exciting to watch when there isn't just one dominant athlete.

Hooper is doing what I thought Licis would have been able to do, but injuries and also his constant obsession with perfect form has hindered his progress I believe, at the arnolds for example, he waisted a lot of energy while being in that bottom position at the deadlift for at least 1 minute, no matter how flexible and athletic you are, when you are 150 kg, you are nog supposed to be able to be there. Hooper is just exceptional, if you look at the guys frame, he's not a behemoth like Shaw or Hafthor, if you look at his hands and wrists, looks like a big, while still human man.

Hooper is always looking to do different stuff (lol just a glance at his bio tells you that in spades), gotta wonder if he'll keep grinding away strongman wins or make an early exit to focus on some of his other interests like trying to really take his health influencer brand to the moon
