ABOUT
Hicksy is a pro strongman and coach from Morecambe, UK. Winner of Britain’s Strongest Man, in 2019, Graham Hicks is well respected as a strongman athlete and a regular at Europe’s Strongest Man, World’s Strongest Man, the Arnold Strongman Classic and other Giants Live shows.
He also holds the records as the UKs best powerlifter with 1100kg, and the British Log Press record with 215kg.

    @@TheHixxy1985do you ever do the grip test on the morning of a session to help you predict how strong you will be ? It seems to be a pretty accurate predictor of overall performance for the day. Then you know what you got without even having to lift first. Some people use that to modify their program a bit. Either with a grip pressure gauge or just a gripper device which you can do a few times and just test the feel

    Graham, your speed is amazing, i think that you and Heinla are the best deadlifters. I have been changing my techniqeu a litte bit with a wider stance and it feels better with better leg drive, respect and greetings from 🤙🏻🇱🇺🤙🏻

    Awesome lifts! A couple questions. What is the purpose of rolling the barbell to you before your pull, and i always heard hips shooting up first isn't ideal but seeing world-class deadlifters like yourself obviously it works for you. Do the hips just depend on what each person feels gives them the most strength?

    Box squats are the key do over 250kg for reps what Eddie did also leg press too over a 1500 lbs for reps. Just don't repeat Eddies mistake and fold yourself in half.

    Fascinates me how Hixxy doesn't get half as much attention as he does. He was chomping at the bit at Big Dogs in PL and has some of the strongest static lifts known. I'd not be shocked if he did it. Let's go Hixxy.

    Form was off - upper back too far forward - whole torso tilted and you gotta support it from falling forwards instead of supporting it up only. I am a proponent of J F Caron's lifting with the traps first - it puts you in perfect position and you end up having more power potential with no back issues.

    @@martinbradley1062hard to consider someone setting records pulling sumo a beta. We are all built different. Should be a separate lifting category, but Strongmen use all sorts of stances and tricks to make every event easier. If it’s within the rules it’s fair game.
