Mine saved my life too... I was on my bike at night when a car hit me violently before running away. I passed out and the apple watch detected that I had a fall and called 911 with my location. The ambulance arrived on time and today I'm standing on my 2 legs

I recently did a demo of the ECG function and my ECG scan wasn’t normal. I went to the hospital and they ran a cat scan of my chest and caught a lung clot. If I didn’t do that scan, I could have died. This device saved my life.

I was 53 no underlying conditions when my watch told me I was in afib - I went to the cardiologist who ran all the tests and sure enough the watch was correct. I used the pdf function on the watch to send the trace to the Dr and they were blown away with how good the reading was - for peace of mind this watch was worth every penny - thank you apple for this piece of tech - I believe you are saving lives

I was in a car crash in Dublin City about 9 months ago. It was pretty bad! The car was destroyed and it happened on a crossroad. A taxi ran a broken set of traffic lights. So two cars were destroyed and not a single car stopped!

Same thing for me, it was my first day in the office after the pandemic and my watch kept on beeping because my heart rate was elevated and I have to rush to the hospital and it turns out I have hyperthyroidism and high-blood pressure.

I had a bike accident last year and I was laying unconscious on the ground for nearly an hour and thank god for the Apple Watch fall detection it send an SOS text & my location to my parents and they are able to find me. I always use the Apple Watch as a sport device but I can't believe it really save my life and I even got it as a Christmas present for my parents after that incident.

Apple Watch series 5 told me last November that my heart was in atrial fibrillation. I called my cardiologist's office and had a scan which showed I was in afib.

Remember, not everything is a gimmick. Color TV was invented. Safer cars. Electric cars. Smartphones. Things do truly advance, just because it seems impossible doesn't mean it is.

My doctors blew off my apple watch readings. I have extensive readings showing afib to include when I was in the hospital. Just wanna be taken seriously and find out more about it.

@JimPott2 My cardiologist doesn’t care for Apple Watch ⌚️ either. She’s Russian. She said to me it’s bobble it’s toy, I get you medical grade. I don’t have A-Fib but I do have a very serious heart condition. Apple misses so many readings. I bought the Kardia 6L. It’s capable of actually reading 6 of the 12 leads in a standard medical EKG. And my doctor 👩🏼‍⚕️ can bill my insurance carrier with the results. Apple Watch can’t top that. Currently both devices have FDA clearance as a medical device. CLEARANCE IS NOT AN APPROVAL.

Their accuracy is better for people older than 40 esp seniors than young people because of false positives in age group with less cases of afib. It cannot replace physician but it can notify those people to go to their physician or hispital before it's too late.

I'm getting one. Yesterday I heard from a friend that her heart had major problems but she was asymptomatic. She went to the doctor on the advice of the watch, was immediately transported and fitted with a pacemaker. Most likely dead today if not for the watch.

I have had high and low heart rate notifications from my Apple Watch. Also the noise notifications and hearing health has been very helpful.

@@francescoschettino5726 The same thing happened to me and I am 26. It happened to me during Ramadan while fasting and I was a month post-Covid. At the same time, my mother was having her 3rd surgery which was very life-threatening and I was the eldest of all my siblings, my father was in Bahrain and could not come because of covid lockdown so all the major responsibility was on my shoulders. What was causing the rapid heartbeat? Well, my doctors(after doing all the necessary tests) indicated I had high levels of Anxiety even my physician scolded me for this that I am just 26 and should not be having this level of Anxiety. After everything went well with the surgery and all, I started focusing on my stress levels which eventually brought my heart rate down. You should not be having heart issues even in your 30s it's just stress that is causing all that. Hope my experience helps you.

I'm about to update my apple watch bc I've done an EKG and found out I had an irregular heart beat a few years ago. I'm also now asthmatic and anemic ...my stepmom just had emergency open heart surgery a few months ago out of nowhere. Heart disease is no joke!

I can’t afford a Apple Watch but I do have a inexspensive smartwatch that recently saved my life recently it helps me check my heart rate and blood pressure I once passed out at a construction site I work for and this was on Wednesday I started feeling chest pain and I know I have heart rate and blood pressure and the second o stopping picking up garbage I stood down for a mintune my heart rate was 100 my blood pressure was almost 200 and it was below I was light headed and almost passed out for a second time at the same construction site my health condtion was related to food and afterwords we stopped for lunch luckily I was able get at a decent heart rate

This happened to me this week, went to hospital to confirm glad I had an Apple watch

I wish I had an Apple Watch again... I currently have a Casio Tough Solar Watch.

Series 4 or series 5 it detects heart rate failure

Its not possible to save all the lives but at least it will help some who are valnurable and in times might even be a gift of life

I was mauled by a dog and my Apple Watch stopped him from severing an artery. He tore the watch off but I do believe the watch saved my life.

Didn’t save my husbands life. But when he started riding a bicycle it texted looks like you’re exercising. Shows a bicycle asked if he wanted to track him.

I've been experiencing a significant issues with my Apple Watch series 6, specifically when it comes to Siri. Whenever I wash my hands or have a shower, Siri activates without me saying ' Hey Siri' and not pressing the Digital Crown. Unfortunately my wrist is not that flexible to suggest that it's pressing against the crown. Furthermore, Siri ( on my watch) randomly activates when I am having a conversation on the phone or with someone face to face. Those conversations do not include phrases ' hey Siri'. I have uploaded an example of Siri activating to the sound of running water, on my channel. Appreciate any views ?

There is a feature called “Raise to Speak”, where you can just raise the watch to your mouth and start speaking to Siri. You were probably experiencing false activations.

The Apple Watch is not certified or able to warn you or detect a heart attack, because that requires a more sophisticated multi lead EKG approach and interpretation. The FDA doesn’t approve that except for medical grade or hospital grade devices like an EKG machine and certain types of blood test, only useable by techs and doctors to interpret. Learn the warning signs of heart attack and if you do have any of those symptoms, seek medical care urgently.

I soooo wish Apple would fix the issue that prevents Apple Watch from working with tattoos. I’ve bought and returned the last three versions for this problem.

Technology advances have happened. I have a full sleeve including the top of my hand. My watch works with no issues.

Unless you have small ankles, probably no band is big enough to go over your feet or wrap around an ankle. The Apple Watch sensors are designed to work best on either wrist. You can get them in aluminum in pink, midnight black, starlight white, silver or red, or stainless steel in mirror polished gold, silver or graphite, 2 different sizes and about 6 different styles and 40 different colors. Lots of options to allow you to customize the look you want, or at least accept.

While that's all well and good but a lot of things are saving your lives. Your house, your clothes and your food are saving your lives.

Do all apple watches have this feature or is it an app need to install??

I have the Apple Watch ⌚️ series 3 and fell twice and it never called for emergency services. When I went to my Orthopedic appointment the next day he ordered X-rays and MRI’s. I had multiple broken bones 🦴. The whole reason why I purchased the watch was reading about the 16 year old sitting 🪑 in church ⛪️ when her watch went off in Florida. Her mother, a registered nurse 👩🏼‍⚕️, duplicating the findings took her to Urgent Care and then an Emergency 🚨 Room. The young ladies kidneys were functioning at less than 10 or 20%. She would have died because her mother, the nurse, ignored all of her other symptoms. My Orthopedic noted in my chart that the Apple Watch ⌚️ “did not” notify Emergency 🚨 Services.

Jacqueline Payne well, i think this is because Apple Watch Series 3 does not have fall detection as far as i know. It was introduced in Series 4 and of-course in Series 5 and thus should work. But, I don’t trust on them much to be honest.

Caution it only has 1Lead ECG capabilities. The watch is an FDA clearance device. Not an approval.

It does have that capability but each country’s Health Department or Ministry must approve its use in the Apple Watch for that country. In some countries that approval has taken quite a while for Apple to get even after Apple has requested it. Thankfully, most countries have approved it, but if not in your country, contact your local government an complain!
