It’s not designed to lure existing users who don’t need the VO2 max and all the other new sensors. It’s to lure new users who don’t currently own one and is considering to get one. For those people, it’s a major upgrade from having zero to hero. If you have series 4 and it still works fine, great. Save your money and buy some bacon for your wife and kids. You don’t have to upgrade if you don’t need to, as you said.

they shouldn’t make a stupid budget model. Just release one for all makes no difference by releasing 3 models like the 11, 11p, 11pm just keep the 11, 11pm and for the watch, s6 is enough. No need watch SE. If the charger is USB C, this means i have to buy another charger. Since I own the 11 (default USB charger)

Garmin has VO2 even on cheaper models for most then a year... But what about the battery life? Is still 10-12h?

I already have an Apple Watch series 5. Seriously looking at the Fitbit Sense, I use it more for tracking my fitness so it's a better fit for me.

Why you need a big battery? I use watches for working out and that’s that. Nothing more to it. It’s mainly use for cardio levels and that’s that. If you use it for fashion then I just get a Rolex out and you won’t be able to say anything.

Mike Mo I felt the same with the Series 5, thinking the Series 6 is going places with new design, functions and performance/endurance. But only new thing is bloodoxygen and an altimeter. For me as a skydiver the altimeter is interesting, but I don’t think it’s gonna be so good that you can use it for skydiving. They would have mentioned that I think

Blood o2 is very important though it can be the first signs someone has covid if their o2 levels are low.

They usually discontinue the previous years model. Like they discontinued the series 4 after the series 5.

Which of those new features will be enabled on older series? We know that previous models have altimeter and can track your sleep, so apart from the oxygen sensor, they are capable of doing everything else. Also, if the new medical function requires a new FDA clearance on each country to be sold, the blood oxygen function will be enabled in the USA on day 1, and will be disabled in other countries for 9-18 months.

Can anyone tell me if it’s worth getting the series 6 over the SE version?

Carol Baez I dont think that’s much of a change from the series 2 which lasts me about a day and a quarter. I’m going to get the stainless steel one for my 25th birthday (a gift to myself because I think I’d wear it every day and it looks great). I just know that the series 7 is going to get all the good upgrades. This was kind of a slap in the face to people in my boat.
