B-Roll footage from the set of 'The Adventures Of Pinocchio' (1996). Also features a short featurette on the VFX of the film including how they operated the Pinocchio puppet on set and the CG of Pepe the Cricket. This and (alongside a number of other rare vintage promotional material) were found surprisingly on a Dutch DVD release of the film, and have not been included on any US or UK DVD or Blu-ray release. These were taken straight from the rip of that Dutch DVD.

Pencil test animation makes me think what if this movie was traditional 2D

Set in the 18th Century 1700s.
Quick question if any chance do u have any more footage from the movie one thing I want to see is how did they do the special effects for the donkey transformation that scene traumatized me as a kkd.
Some of the things I really appreciate about this version is the fact that Pinocchio is played by an actual puppet (aside from the horror film "Pinocchio's Revenge") as well as the hybrid of both computer animation and old fashioned practical effects. That whale animatronic is amazing, too.

Didn't they also use stop motion animation on the side? But yes. It was thanks to the magic of Jim Henson's Creature Workshop.
The 18th Century was Police-less.
Any more behind the scenes footage? Really wish there was some of Terra Magica
