Precious Mike suffered through the rest of his life because of this unfortunate accident, it was one of the reasons he became addicted to pain medication...bless him ❤️❤️❤️

Michael had a tremendous gift of insight. He never felt comfortable with doing this particular commercial. Despite his reservations, Michael was bullied into doing this project by none other than Joseph Jackson. It has been stated by reliable sources that this was no accident and Michael knew it. He was instructed to pause on a particular step only for this exact moment right before this happened; even though he had countless rehearsals instructed otherwise. It was alleged that after this incident he became fearful of eating food for fear of being poisoned. This was the beginning of what Michael spoke about in his later years regarding his life being in danger. Poor Michael. He survived this horror for decades. I'm so sorry Michael. Love you Michael.

@@lamiadingle2011 The catalogs were the "last draw." Michael had far too much success giving him an immense amount of power especially as a black artist. The music industry is an evil ritualistic industry. Michael did not and would not go along or partake if you will.

The accident happened in 1984 but during his Dangerous Tour in 1993 hé still got treatment for his scalp and used painmedication. In 2007 Michael did a photoshoot for a magazine and while a hairdresser did his hair you could tell that Michael had serious pain.

This is so sad😢 All he wanted was for everyone to be safe and he ended up being the one hurt

This one accident is what caused his demise. This caused him to get addicted to drugs and painkillers.

I would even go as far as to say it triggered his Lupus and Vitiligo as well. The timing lines up. Withing a year, he starts getting lighter and stuff. He unfortunately kept trying to fix it and only made his scalp worse, causing him to have to eventually wear full wigs

Yes I think the people who killed him are his doctor, Conrad Murray Pepsi’s crew and his mj & friends crew Pepsi introduced him to painkillers drugs plastic surgeries, and his mj & friends crew technicians made a bridge he was he was on fell unexpectedly 50 feet he did something to his back and was in bad pain till he died in 2009

This breaks my heart to see the tragedy he went through during the Pepsi comercial incident i felt so bad for him i can't even imagine what he's been through that must had traumatized him for the rest of his life💔😭😢

I always thought about the accident as the breaking point for MJ regarding a rift between him and his family. Can you blame him? He was literally conquering the world with Thriller, but his mom convinced him to do the family a favor by taking his brothers with him for the ride and look where it got him. Putting his own career to the side in exchange for doing something for his family almost ruined things for him completely. Yeah, his mom sued Pepsi because of how this could impact her son's career. However, was it because of MJ's career or the fact that any fault to his career meant no saving grace for the rest of the family? No wonder he was so untrusting of those around him for the rest of his career/life and he opted to do things his own way which sadly wasn't always the best way. Darn shame...

What makes it sad for me is that most celebrities use drugs for their enjoyment, for the high and things like that. But that wasn’t the case. He didn’t do it for the rush or anything, he was just in pain. He wanted the pain to stop.

Everybody experiences unfortunate events in their life. Its all about how you handle it.

There was also the fact that because of the bald spot caused by the burns, and the adding hair loss from lupus (an auto immune disease that attacks healthy tissue, which Jackson was diagnosed with mere months after the accident), he also immediately began wearing hairpieces to cover these spots, and did so in varying degrees for the rest of his life.

I had no idea that it was michael’s mother katherine who initiated the lawsuit against pepsi. should have went with quaker oats instead. they were offering more money. plus, their product was a healthier alternative that michael could support. he didn’t even drink pepsi, and refused to be seen drinking or holding it.

Pepsi would then go on to cancel thier contract with Madonna after the music video for Like A Prayer was released. I still don't understand why though. How dare she * checks notes * portray the KKK as evil.

Pespi foi extremamente cruel. Causou o acidente, o levou a dependência em analgésicos, teve sequelas, várias tentativas cirurgicas para cobrir a perda de cabelo, cirurgias extremamente doloridas e fracassadas! Após anos Pepsi rompeu seu contrato alegando sua dependia em analgésicos, época em que enfrentava sua batalha contra " falsas acusações ". Lucros, sempre lucros. No tomo Pepsi! E Michael também não era adepto a refrigerantes. Participou , pois seus irmãos precisavam e sua amada mãe pediu muito. 😢
