God Bless You Dr Les! I am currently vacationing on a cruise ship. I was tense and in pain while waking around. I began practicing the 4-7-8 breathing technique, and it worked great!!! My nieces are on the same cruise and have chronic pain issues too. I sent them some of your links, including this one. We're going to beat this thing with your help. Thank You. ❤🙏 ❤️

Nice job! 🎉☀️🔥 Get this book as an audiobook called "The Way Out" by Alan Gordon. Also, check out the video on What is Pain Reprocessing Therapy ( PRT)? You can scrub through and use the Somatic Tracking on a daily basis (don't wait for a major flare up) to create safety-in-me (SIM) messages to the brain/nervous system. Thanks for stopping by 🙏🏽☀️

Your videos are EXACTLY what I needed. I realized I needed my coach and a new set of tools.., not therapy with some new therapist. 😉. I plan to practice this alone as I don't have anyone to practice with. I have been sharing your videos with friends in need here. Thank you so much. ❤

I do on a very limited basis, but the provider must be licensed in the state the patient is. Plus, the PPDAssociation.org or somatic experience therapist is the place to start.

A question....I'm finding I'm having difficulty with this breathing technique when I feel full. As I'm dealing with some irritating digestive issues that make me feel full at times and the gastro Dr. has been treating the symptoms with restricting certain foods. I just started to ponder if these flare ups are connected to the mind/body connection. As I've always associated the chronic physical pain flare ups to my mind and stress. Never thought about mind/ gut connection before. Any thoughts on that? How digestive problems affect the brain chemistry?

Hi Wendy! Thanks for your comment. Yes, science does show a strong connection between chronic stress (from loneliness to financial worries, anxiety, etc) and the gut/IBS. While restrictions of foods helps identify what maybe triggering your symptoms, science shows us that is just one part-the other part can be a person, place or chronic issue/thing in life that we cannot stomach, per se. Read the “Polyvagal Theory” or search that on KZread. Also, checkout my good friend & colleague’s website: Backincontrol.com. Every Tuesdays and Thursdays he holds a free Q & A sessions from 12 PM (Pacific time) to 1 PM. On his webpage… In the middle… Look for calendar/events. Just click on that zoom link. Please follow medical instructions and do all you can to soothe that nervous system of yours! 🤓✊🏽💝

Wendy, also... when doing the 478 breathing technique just focus on the air entering your nose… In the air leaving you softly pursed lips. Focus on the sensations. That should help settle your nervous system. If not, try Nadi Shodhana video in my channel.
